I think Imma pull the trigger on a Pyxis but only for small commercial work, indie features & Corporate interviews only. The beauty of this camera is you can rig it big or as small as possible depending on what you do.
@@KofiYeboah 😂 there’s some trauma with Sony Kidding aside, in my case is more that I’m a lot into anamorphics (at the moment I only have a Sirui and one 2x Kowa projector lens but I’m planning on getting Blazar Remus) and Pyxis is a great reasonable option for open gate/full frame and having internal BRAW

Are you powering the monitor from the BPU battery or the V mount plate? Just wondering how you hot swap the V mount without burning the SDI ports. Great rig rundown man!
@KofiYeboah tc-1 by Deity is good budget but also has options to pair with other gear from the manufacturer over the Tentacle sync E, I prefer the Deity aesthetic and rigging option over the competition.
@kofi do your hands sweat after shooting for a while?, I've seen many reviews but no one is talking about heat dissipation given that the vents are at the top close to the top handle.
Is there a setting that I’m missing for power redundancy? When I have a V mount powering the camera and it runs out or I change the battery the cam does not seamlessly switch to the BPU battery. It turns off, stops recording and then powers back on.

SDI is so flexible but the frying part sucks. It took a long time but our organization fried one of the SDI ports on our URSA :(.

so having a small BP-U attached won't prevent from frying the SDI port if the V mount battery dies while recording?
Least that’s what I was told by having two, I’m also just paranoid with batteries and I’ll double up when given the chance
