@@BrittneyJanae if I had MONEY, I’d cop, only regret is I got these during my slowest month so I didn’t get AS much as what I wanted I’ll have my lil vespid kit til I can get these again 😁
Nice! This will be a good watch! With the Cooke S4s being discontinued, I'm looking forward to getting some of them from the second hand market! Would love to try those lenses out!
Great video. The Cooke definitely has a nicer look than the Vespid, but nice to see the Vespid holding it's own in the comparison, great lenses. Funny how some people(not you) like to pixel peep and say some lenses are trash just because they have some chromatic abberation in the background highlights(The Zeiss CP2's for example gets dogged on all the time), but here you have some beautiful expensive Cooke lenses that have chromatic abberations. People blow it's importance out if proportion in my opinion.
Kofi, hit up a local big rental house. The industry is down, and they may let you take a look at the S4s and any other glass you’ve been itching. Always good to start a relationship with them. Great vid!!
I can't imagine choosing these if I had to spend $30K on lenses. I'd probably grab an Arles set, Thypoch set, a Blazar Remus set, and native photo glass with AF
Ok, a lot of great nuggets to take in. I remember a couple of our colorful convos/debates at NAB, lol. I’m actually on a football project with the Pyxis now, BUT out of everything you said and showed- ONE thing jumped out: The 212 Pike vmount. Did you have trouble flying with it? I’m scared to take mine to the airport.
Damn these look really beautiful. As for lens suggestions I’d like to see your opinion on the dulens lenses. I just bought the 50mm and I feel like for the price it’s a steal for a pl cine lens
Dope vid! Yes to Keyan Coleman vid. Can you talk about the phone call process? Do you ask if they have a vision and storyboarding etc. Asking to figure out if I should continue asking clients those questions. Plan on getting the new Blazar anamorphic lens that recently came out with the autofocus feature. Your opinion on that would be greatly appreciated.
@KofiYeboah lmao aye, if you come to Wisconsin I'll let you borrow mine 😂. But I'm sure there's someone in Canada that'll let you borrow them for a day.
Why sell the komodo for the pyxis instead of financing the pyxis? The pyxis is a lesser camera in pretty much every department compared to the komodo X
Because you can achieve just about the same thing, all of the new Gen cinema cameras are capable of producing beautiful results. Plus having the extra money in your pocket is smart, it’s not just about the camera but the person behind the camera
If I’ve learned anything since getting the focus pro is it’s super convenient for the jobs where you would assume it would be but when it comes to anything personal or something I have control over when it comes to time and things like that I could never do anything but manual. If I were to make a top 50 shots list for myself every single choice would be something shot manually.
I try both, Cooke sp3 are NOT worth it. Vespids highlight roll off, skin tones and sharpness way better. Positive about the sp3 is the size and character that it does have like a vintage look similar to the panchro
I use cookes a lot for my DP work. I like them better! The vespids are good sometimes a little too warm but good!

@ I’m still going back and forth between the vespids and Arles. The Pyxis rigged is heavy enough so I’m like do I just get the vespids
Hi you two! I don’t want anything. Just saying hello to my two fav and down to earth creators. Happy holidays!

The one I usually go do didn’t have any :( but I might have to venture out a bit , good lookin out 🫡
gotta respect the DZO hat in a Cooke review
@@jtserrao1962 😂😂😂 it’s a shill neutralizer
Defo need the bts from the Coleman shoot! You explained it right, the picture isn’t sharp, but for some reason the detail is noticeable different
@@BenjiSelby it’s coming up !!
The Vespids are definitely up there, it's got something to it, a unique look and i like it, really really like it.
They’re still one of the best lenses for the money 🫡
you prefer the smallhd in the field instead of the Hollyland Pyro?
Neither are mine ahah 😅 but both are great
How do you compare sp3 to vespids in term of sharpness?
Both are great 👍🏾
Get some of our Cordvision Cine Rings and you can easily mount small matte boxes.
I wish I knew these existed before aha 😅
Nice video Kofi!
Ayyy thanks man 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Love the look of these! However, I would rather buy the Arles Primes because of Price/Value - or was it your hat ?!
The Arles are unreal
Just they’re a bit on the heavy side 😅
Hey brother! Love your videos.
Can you compare to gmaster and sigma?
If sigma and Sony wanna run them lenses over 😅
Honestly would go for some cinehoused Leica R's instead
Hey, different strokes for different folks!
“The Cooke look” yeah I sure hope Cooke lenses look like Cooke. Lol
I was scared they would look like Blazar Catos, everyone HATES those

I actually ngl already filmed the BTS I might add that in !
Lowkey, it would be cool to compare these to the canon fd lenses. At girst glance, they kinda look similar
