    Clean build. Excited to see what you create with this. I completely forgot the holly land came with that power cable 😅. No more heavy monitor for me!

    Can’t blame them for saying “most riggable” since that’s what all the influencers were harping on them about. They are just saying “HERE! Ok! Leave us alone!” 😂😂

    Hey Victor congratulations on getting the Pyxis.. Ive seen the power of what it can do from Brady Basette and i must say you made the best decision ever by getting one yourself as it will elevate your production even more. 🥂Congratulations and more success to you man im proud and inspired. P.S i pray and still await a christmas gift from you brother, something like the Atomos ninja monitor or a good bi color cob light u dont use anymore 😅. My regards to your wife.. Blessing

    Thanks for sharing this info! I've never rigged out a camera. Just curious what you think top priorities should be?

      Top handle or side handle is a must for me! Great way to ergonomically film. The rest would depend on your productions! Basically each part should make your life easier during filming

    Man, i am looking for a great Rig to mostly copy for a week now! Yours is the best so far, by a mile! I just have one question: is the bp-u battery really neccesary or yould i just use the v-mount?

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  2 місяці тому +1

      You can just use the vmount! I just like having safety just in case one of the cables get disconnected somehow or the vmount dies without me checking it. The battery on the Pyxis just says AC on full so you’d have the check the vmount from time to time!

  • @ghospod
    @ghospod Місяць тому

    Does the BP-U actually allows the hot swap if V-mount dies? Did you try that? I've seen opinions the hot swap is not possible. Would this backup work also with a regular D-tap V-mount - 2 pin lemo connection? I have the most simple V-mount plate and output the cable directly from Smallrig VB212 V-mount.

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  Місяць тому

      Yup! It switches back to the BPU with the vmount plate ! The only problem is when you put back the v mount. You have to unplug power first and then put the v mount on the plate and plug it back in. That way the camera won’t force a restart.
      I haven’t tried straight from vmount I’ve always used the tilta plate with it! Hope that helps 🫡

    never agree enough about Sandisk customer service support lol
    also i though Pyxis seems small (seeing on pictures) and when seeing your video i guess it's about same size as FX6 i guess
    this one didn't battery power hunger when using BPU right???

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  2 місяці тому +1

      I could go all day about Sandisk customer service lol. Yeah the Pyxis is very similar size to the fx6! It’s power hungry :( I haven’t tested out the duration of the small bpu battery but one vmount is like 1 hr of shooting

    IS THERE ANY PROBLEM CALLING THIS?
