- This is another campground walk-through.
This time, I will be walking through Indian Creek Campground, on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, near Cherokee, North Carolina.
This is a 74 site campground, and I am walking through to show you the various sites, so that hopefully it will give you an idea of which site you want to book!
It was a nice place around everything, the river ran behind it. So many memories there. When my husband and I got married in 73, we spent some of our honeymoon in Maggie Valley and stayed in Cherokee too. I am glad God lets us still remember the good times.😊
I am always appreciative of these campground videos. It’s a great service for us tent folks in particular!
So glad that you find it helpful.
I started realizing the need for these type of videos when I was trying to book a site at a campground that I had only driven through, but never camped at. I was only able to find a photo of the site I was going to book, but no video showing the entire thing.
I'm glad that so many people have let me know that they appreciate it.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for walking the campground for us
You are very welcome. Hope it's helpful.
I see they have showers and bathrooms look pretty clean. Thx for showing bathrooms.
The bathrooms and showers are very clean. We were highly impressed with that.
Good walkthrough video! We're regular campers at ICC, been coming here for the last 8 years and plan on visiting as often as we can in the future. The owners and staff are wonderful! The reason behind what seems like haphazard numbering of the sites is that the campground started much smaller and as surrounding property became available, it was expanded so the numbering of the sites got a little crazy.
I figured the numbering had to do with something like that. It's just tough when you're trying to give the numbers of each site, and they seem to be all over the place. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I love the sound of water! It's so refreshing and I love to have my time with the Lord by the water when I'm in the Smokeys. It reminds me that His voice is as the sound of many waters. I really enjoy your videos! Blessings
Absolutely! We so enjoyed sitting out there and doing our Bible reading together.
Thanks so much for watching!
Now that's a campground we would stay at. Seen some videos, by others, but this one is outstanding! Ty for the walk through. Happy Camping 🏕 oh and I like the Hoodlums campsite 😂
LOL! Yes, we (the hoodlums) had a very good site, for having booked it sight unseen.
I think you would definitely enjoy this campground. Very peaceful and relaxing.
I enjoy doing these walk throughs, in the hopes that it helps others when making a reservation. Some campgrounds are really big and take a while, but this one wasn't too bad.
Thanks for watching!
I don’t do tent camping however this video is very helpful.
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
They do also have RV hookups and cabins.
Beautiful camp ground, so peaceful. Do you and your wife ever remember the Craig's Motel? That is where we used to stay a lot. We are retired now, so we are busy with our church at Union Grove Baptist Church. So glad to be saved and serving our Lord. Thank you again for the videos, it's a blessing. ❤❤😊
Yes, I do remember that, now that you mention it. I hadn't thought about it or seen it in years. I'm trying to remember exactly where it was.
@@NCMemoryMakers look beside of the casino, on the right is the river, when you look across that, they have condos built there. It is so peaceful there.
Thanks so much for the walkthrough! So helpful and informative
You're very welcome!
Great review and walkthrough of this campground, thank you for sharing , it really helps the viewers that are planning their camping trips.
Thank you for watching. I hope it is helpful for those trying to plan a trip there.
Campground looks great hope you have a great weekend God bless you all
Yes, it was a nice weekend. Thank you for watching.
Awesome place n thank you for sharing ❤
You're very welcome. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! We have travel trailer but towing from IN to other than ky or TN is $$. Thinking about getting used pop up for like the national park l, maybe out west. But little afraid of bear factor. I remember back in 60s when all area mtn c.grounds banned tents & pop ups. But ok now when they are all over. I know ya gotta go someway but idk about in my sleep mauled by a bear if they smell dogs for food, us, etc😂 but that's an great campground it looks. Do love when cool breezes go thru pop up sides over trailers.
No need to worry about bears 🐻 just make sure you are faster than at least one person in your party and you’re good to go 😝
You're not going to have any problems with bears whatsoever, as long as you follow good common sense guidelines. Don't take food in your tent with you, and don't carry the scent of food into your tent. They're not going to seek out your dogs for food. They are looking for any leftovers or scraps that you may leave out for them. As long as you put everything up and secure it in your vehicle, you'll be fine.
We've been camping in the Smokies for decades, and never had one issue with a bear.
I always reserve site w. It has its own little waterfall at the back of the site. Can’t wait to be there in September!
We loved camping here! Beautiful place!
Thank you for making this video!! We will be camping in the Smokey's in July. Think we may try this place!!
If you do decide to go here, please let us know how you like it. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
Not sure if you saw our other video on the same campground from this past weekend?
This is a campground walkthrough of the sites, and the other is just various scenes from our day in and around the campground. That video also shows the inside of the camp store, if you wanted to see that.
My idea of roughing it is going to a Holiday Inn instead of the Hilton. I don’t mind day camping but at night I want a real bed to sleep in and running water. Don’t get me wrong I got plenty of camping 🏕️ experience when I was in the military. It’s not as fun as an old man who doesn’t have the greatest of backs anymore. As always thanks for the video.
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the video, looks like sites 11,12 and 64 are the best sites for us. Did you try the trout fishing?
I did not trout fish this time. But I think they have some pretty good fishing there in that one creek.
64 was a good site for us. There are a couple of others I would have to go back and watch the video to see which one they were, that I think I would like.
Beautiful except one bathroom for the campground
Yeah, that's the only downside of it.
Y’all stay in a tent or cabin
We're tent campers all the way. We might get a cabin one of these days.
Ours was Site 64. I actually walked into it in this video, and videotaped my wife asleep on my cot.
