STYE INFORMATION:
Styes are common and should clear up on their own within a week or 2. They're rarely a sign of anything serious, but may be painful until they heal.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE FOR A STYE:
See your healthcare professional if your stye:
• Is very painful or swollen
• Does not get better within a few weeks
• Affects your vision

🇨🇦Canadian Pharmacist here! Great video - practical and concise. Styes are a common complaint in the pharmacy here in Canada. Good advice to distinguish what else it could be as well. Warm compresses are excellent, very easy to use and very effective.

We have a free healthcare in Canada but all the doctors are failing me. If I ask for a biopsy, or surgery or any referral to specialist they say no to me. I’m losing my mind. I’m experiencing a lot of health issues because of their negligence. Honourable death is better than this life.
Is it normal for a stye to turn from red to pink after antibiotics? It's been a week and my stye has just turned pink but it's still there. Thanks!

I’ve been getting styes pretty often lately. One small sty at a time on either lower eyelid. But, they’re disappearing in 1-2 days max though!
I think the reason could be. I got into skincare lately. And, I’ve started applying a lot of serums and lotions really close to the eyes and eyelids. Or the reason could be something else.
If you have allergies and rub your eyes a lot it could be that cause that’s my problem

hey I'm in the same exact boat I think. I bought a whole skin care routine and have noticed that I am putting eye cream right on my eye, for about 4 days now. Today, I noticed a small white looking stye in my upper eye lid. Since I am in the same boat as you, did you notice the styes went away after you stopped getting those skin care items around or in your eyes?

I had a small bump on my eyelid that didn't swell and didn't hurt. After doing some hot compress on it, it started to swell. Now it turned red and I feel discomfort whenever I poke it. What should I do??

I hope this works I’ve had one stye for almost 5 months I just got another one except it’s on my top lid the first one I got was on the outside of my lid the second is on the inside of my lid
I went to the doctors they gave me eye drops that didn’t work at all

@@rishav-ranjan it’s been like 3 weeks and my stye has gone down to a small bump.. but that’s also because I started immediately with warm compresses. The best chance to get rid of them is the first couple of days. Or that’s what my doctor told me. Also don’t mess with it or touch it a lot cuz that’s when they get bigger and irritated.

Hi guys! I am 12 and my mom said I might have a stye....I don’t know what happened but I didn’t know what it was I called my mom after cuz like I washed my hands then I rubbed it and kept thinking it was my eyelash. But I just found out you aren’t supposed to rub styes:( will I be ok? My hands were clean when I rubbed it cuz I washed them right before I started touching it....I don’t think it popped. How do I know it popped when I rubbed it? I don’t think it did cuz the lump is still here
aww hey u sound so sweet :) and no nothing happens ik i might be late to answering your question but i get them all the time and i rub my eyes when my hands r not washed and i’m fine and you can tell if it popped because it will explode and pus would come out or it will be watery but it’s fine it might leave you a lil scar but it’s finee

I used to have it often before.. I dunno if my dust allergy had to do with it but I think it did.
I woke up with a stye and it’s soooo painful 😭 my eye burns and it’s so irritating.

My eye is swollen and when I touch it, it feels bruised. This happens every once in awhile I would wake up and my eye would feel bruised (I don't sleep on my eye) do u have any idea what that could be?

Use baby shampoo daily to the pores in eyelids. It helps keeping them clean and unclogged

Actually what I noticed is we forget to wash our hands after picking our nose and after some time we inadvertently rub our eyes with the same hand and next day puuufff we get a eye stye.

Have my stye for 4months and not going away
I had first stye on my left eye probably 3 months ago and it healed itself in a week but I'm getting infected by it again and again, it's just moving from upper lid to lower lid and this is repetitive only on left eye, How could i prevent them from coming back??🥺

Um i have a question . I have a mole and i don't know if it's cancerous or not. I have it since i remember my self as a baby and i am 17 . Between these years it has grown a bit mostly while i was growing but the size and color is not that even and i am really worried. Hi Abraham , I was given eye ointment, as in your video I put some under eyelid. My style is on top outside eye lid , do I apply extra on the stye itself?
I really dont know but I woke up today the inside of my eyelid theres like a small bump it hurts when I blink and feels like there something in my eyelid but it a bump you can't really notice it without feeling it I really don't know what it is.. edit: I figured out what it was so it was a small pimple inside my eyelid so that day I went to sleep I woke up the eye wouldn't open so it's pink eye which sucks.. ima go to my doctor in two days I hope it gets better.

Hey! Thanks for this helpful video but I got got a stye about 2-3 years ago and it didn't burst out properly. The puss can be seen inside my eyelid yet and it is not painful too but it made my eye look smaller and i am getting styes frequently near that area. When I’ve gotten styes I put a handful of dry rice into a sock and microwave it for about 15-30 seconds. Then hold that over my eye until it cools down
