  • New Active 2.3 model pressure washer review and test. I swap out my Kranzle 1322TS to take the brand new Active 2.3 for a test drive. It performed very well. You get exactly what you pay for. Specs all are true and the pressure washer produces 2.3 gallons per minute @ 1000PSI. To get better you have to spend more money. That's where this pressure washer falls. I rank it as the best unit out there in the $650 price range.

    Would you be willing to attempt to articulate what the user experience is like with this compared to the Kranzle? That is, beyond Kranzle being German made, proven track record, and fully rebuildable. It seems at the end of the gun with the garage door closed when using it, this would perform better since this is 2.3gpm and Kranzle is 1.9, but would love to hear if you can tell much difference. Is it just the "second kind of cool" intangible feelings with the Kranzle like one gets with a nice watch etc, or is it mostly because it's quieter?
    Anyways, we all know why the Kranzle is expensive, just curious if you could say how the actual use is different and why you'll still be putting it back up on the wall?

      Most of the time surging is a cheap hose expanding under load. A lot of uberflex and similar non steel braided hose people complain about this. • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  Місяць тому

      The 2.0 is reasonable sounding. It does have the louder screechy sound typical from -$500 pressure washers. The 2.3 is louder than the higher end Kranzle but sounds way better than the typical electric PW. The 2.0 is light and more mobile but this 2.3 is a much more capable machine. Future repair and service is possible on the 2.3 also. I believe they are valued fair for either one of these machines. You want more you will pay more but I believe you are getting what you pay for. Hope that helps.

    I’m shopping around for a pressure washer. I came across the active 2.0 and saw that a 2.3 was just released. Now I can’t decide. Is the 2.3 that much more better compared to the active 2.0? Is it worth the extra $300+?

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  25 днів тому +1

      Do you need an ultra portable option or do you plan to have it in place with a longer hose?If you are planning to move it all over the place the 2.3 is heavier. It is very moveable but a consideration. The 2.3 is a much better PW in every measurable way. It will last much longer and provide a much higher user experience. With the discount HAWAIIDETAILING you get 10% off of the 2.3 for a few more units. It all depends on your budget and needs. If you are not on a super tight budget and plan to put a longer hose and some quick disconnects you can put the 2.3 in a location where it will stay most of the time and extend the hose to use and wrap it up when done. When I say heavier its 45 lbs? That's no big deal for some and very heavy to others. Hope that helps

      Its louder in comparison to a Kranzle. Its not any louder than the normal electric pressure washers on the market. My thoughts are that you should be using a 50' hose and this unit will be at least 20 feet away during use. When I did my test I found it to be way reasonable but since I own and regularly use a Kranzle it has to be noted as a difference. The video I did is the real life practical sound. I did not alter it in any way. As I walk around compare the sound of the water from the sprayer to the machine for a good reference. @25 feet i had to walk away from the camera because you could barely hear the machine over the water from the sprayer. Would you say 4200 psi and 2.5 gpm would be too much water pressure for detailing? I just don't want to start blasting people's paint off their cars lol. Also @ 4:35, What's a good driveway/gutter solution to get rid of all the dirt, grime, and chemicals that you would recommend?

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  23 дні тому +1

      Yes it is too much. That pressure could damage surfaces for sure. Some would say stay back away far enough from the paint and it’s ok but that’s not practical long term. You want a working pressure that does not require special techniques to avoid damaging vehicles. Ultra high pressure has very little benefits detailing cars but a lot of possible consequences. Hope that helps.

      It’s louder than a lot of PW’s at this quality level but nothing that I am that bummed about. In the vid is a real time walk through of the sounds at different distances. There comes a point where it doesn’t matter if you have the unit in a good spot with a reasonable length hose. If you want ultra quiet go Kranzle. I know it’s expensive but this is truly the definition of getting what you pay for. I dont believe you can have it all at this price point or someone would be making it already. I always say if you can afford it just get the best and you will never look back but everyone including myself loves the hope that some company will solve it all on a budget. Thanks for watching

      I think it’s a requirement to sell with all the bits but I think they know you will need to upgrade. One good thing is I don’t think it adds much to the cost and you can pick what you want from there. There are so many options it would be hard to please everyone. From the base you can go high end or entry level good or a combo. I have a whole thought on that I have covered on my videos and my website. Thanks for sharing

      I don’t think it’s necessary. I did not even know pan had a Kranzle wall mount. I thought he was a portable PW user. With that being said I am sure it works great. I operate my channel on a if it interests me I try it. If it’s good I film it. If it sucks or I don’t like it I don’t do either. Thats how I roll. If I have a bunch of cool interesting stuff I make more frequent videos. If there is nothing interesting I don’t. That way it’s always fun to make videos and hopefully keeps them more interesting to watch too. Thanks.

      Contrary to what others may think, Pan/Matt did not invent anything. That includes dual pressure washers. That concept has been around for decades. Heated/non-heated, electric/gas, etc. have been around a long time. Just because you saw it on UA-cam first … well, you know.
      Obsessed Garage is not about necessaries as much as it’s about using the best you can get, regardless of cost. It’s about value and what that means to each individual.

      @@Reaper-Jim why do you think og is about using “the best”? He has said himself that it started with using what he likes (wasn’t necessarily the best) and now it’s more become about whatever products he’s decided to sell. In any case we are all aware that with most other things deciding what “the best” is will always be argued.

    • @Reaper-Jim
      @Reaper-Jim 26 днів тому

      @@1thechosenjuan1I didn’t say “the best” I said “the best you can get” and then followed with “value for the individual”. OG carries cheap, mid-range and expensive products. Products that Matt demes worthy of his client’s attention. Consider my understanding of OG’s model as “the best value”, rather than “the best”. Sometimes value is cheap, sometimes it comes at a higher cost.

    On the “mounting solution” … couldn’t you add some rubbers and then screw it down to the shelf? I’d be afraid it would want to vibrate off the shelf. As for the noise, it pales in comparison to ANY gas powered unit. It’s not loud enough to piss off the neighbors. The price point is … meh. If it were under $500, it’d be a great option. I think it would also become the “go-to” for mobile detailers. If it were in the $350-$450 range, they’d sell them all.

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  26 днів тому

      It has rubber feet on it that are pretty thick and stable. I pressure washed my driveway for several hrs straight without releasing the trigger and it did not move at all. Pretty locked in with nothing but its own weight and the rubber feet holding it in place. I wanted to torture test it and it did run cool to the touch the whole time. I agree with your assessments. It’s coming in at 580 ish with the 10% off?? Now it’s time to put my Kranzle back in its spot.

      The unit itself has rubber feet that insulted it from the cradle. The cradle has it own rubber feet. I find that the cradle also make the sound echo right in your face. It quieted down quite a bit after I took it off. The cradle would be good to protect it from getting bashed around in a truck bed or back of a mobile rig but it’s too heavy to be a true portable set up. I believe it should be fixed in place on a mobile rig or on a shelf. Lugging it around is not going to be fun. Maybe load it in morning and unload at the end of the day tops.
