Great video but I have no idea why you carry all that extra weight of the M18 with that hulking battery for Resi service work especially when you already have the M12...For doing installs, I can see the M18 being the way to go though... I'm in the UK, and use Bosch Pro 12v drills or impact, and they work fine for removing bolts or screws from equipment panels ect..To save weight, I use the small 2 or 3Ah batteries which last ok, but carry a spare in my bag and have access to others. I have just bought a Vessel rechargeable electric screwdriver and I find I am really liking that for a multitude of jobs i don't need an impact for....
Would you be able to upload a short video on the belt you are using? At 5:15. Is that like a utility belt that officers use? I’ve been trying different belts and pouches to put together my own light weight compact tool belt set up. Thanks dude!
Did you know by just putting a Chicago screw through the front pocket in the center towards the top you can turn that pouch into 2 front pockets for screwdriver. Easy mod to make that more usable.
My bag got stolen a year ago. When i started building a new one, i opted for the m12 surge and it has definitely exceed expectations. Everyone is always shocked at how quiet it is.
Everybody raves about the M12 Surge, and if I could go back in time I'd probably start with M12 instead of M18 -- seems like a great mix of smaller, lighter, quieter, and tons of control for an impact. Between brushless and battery tech, the 12V tools of today are *remarkably* performant. Sure, it's not the all-day workhorse if you're building a deck, drilling holes for anchor bolts, or if you need to run a paddle bit through an entire house worth of studs... but if you need that then stick on M18 and go get an SDS or a right-angle boring monster. I personally have the M12 installation driver. It's pricy, but it has pulled my ass out of the fire a few times with those attachments - the clutch on it goes down to basically finger-tight on even small fasteners. I'm not using it to fix a pair of glasses or set/grub screws, but it'll handle even fine thread
I have an M12 Surge Fuel driver that i keep at home for shop use. I definitely can appreciate its power, but I do need the extra umph of the m18 for the work day. I have seen the installation driver, and my initial impression has always been that its kind of gimmick-y because of the interchangeable heads. At first; I thought the same of my Wera driver and its removable shaft and bit storage. Perhaps it is worth a look though, I do have a need for delicate driving. Thank you for your comment!

@@SosaBladez I purchased a Firearm holster drop leg strap, and a “style and craft” brand leather 3 pouch holster with a clip, both from Amazon. I was skeptical of the pouch but it is hearty leather. Clipped the pouch on the molle on the leg strap, and added some velcro straps to hold it in place so it doesnt shake and move as much while walking👍🏻
I don’t know if a commercial guy can get away with a leg holster, trying to impress a guy with a freshly painted hammer. 😂Sick bag👍🏻 I love my MCT.

@@VanKeurenpyrotechnics I have an M12 surge impact driver that I use at home, and I enjoy using it. It may end up on the truck when the M18 wears out

What belt is that? I’ve been looking for a stiffer belt and that held up nice
@@nachoisme It is a Nexbelt! Its made for conceal carry holsters. Its a click-type belt, and its suuper rigid. Highly recommend for industrial feel.
@@PalmerElectricalnice…I saw that one in my research. Good to know it’s legit. Thanks for the reply
Good video thx
Subscribing because I'll looking forward to seeing the full walkthrough

What pouch is that? How did you make the leg holster?

Cool setup , but the painted hammer is kinda gey , but overall nice
Great vid! I hope there’s a part 2 of this vid since it ended on the rack a tiers cable pry bar. Looking forward to the work truck tour!
