I love this look at Bali! My husband and I went a few years ago. I really loved the Balinese people I met and Bali was beautiful but it just wasn't my favourite vacation. I think there was too many tourists and I didn't choose a place that was a good fit for me. It is great that you gave it another chance and were able to enjoy it. I think having a "fixer" is key!
I totally feel you. The touristy places are nice and flashy, but they don’t have that authentic Bali charm. Having fixers and guides who are genuinely passionate about showing this side of Bali will make all the difference

Dude, I relate so much about how Bali’s just over-visited and it even shows in the flight prices 😓 But really enjoyed seeing the hidden gems of the island despite having been there twice since covid, definitely going to check out the spots in the video!
Totally agreed that there is a certain sense of calm in Bali and you did a great job capturing it in the production!
One thing though, you should go scuba diving there since you’re certified! And it was pretty brave for you to follow the turtle into the school of jellyfish when you weren’t fully covered 🫡
Yeah there’s still a lot more to Bali that I didn’t explore. Thank you! I try my best to do so.
Unfortunately this wasn’t a water focused trip, will def want to be back for more sites and possibly diving. The sea turtle was def worth getting a couple of stings for, I’ve been dying to see one since forever hahah
