While serving in the Australian Air Force we picked up a puppy for our 3 daughters. A Blue Healer Cattle Dog/Australian Kelpie Sheep Dog. 17.5 years we had him. Such a so dedicated dog protecting our children all that time. Travelled most of Australia with us and gave us much happiness. One day he pulled out a nail on his paw. We think he got bloody poison and the vet said at 17.5 years old he was well past his used by date so we too, with vet help, help ease his suffering. Cya Mate, Dear Patch!
I shed a tear while watching this beautiful tribute to wonderful friendship, as it reminded me of all my four legged best friends that gave me such joy, and, who I still miss to this day. Thank you xx
My condolences and i empathized for your loss. A loss of a pet is difficult to overcome, especially when it happens. I last saw my pet dog just before covid and i was due to fly back home after two years of lockdown. He passed on, just before i could fly back. He passed away at the age of 13 as well. When I last saw him, he was still active and age didn't seem to affect him. It's kinda crazy when age really hits, they really go downhill from there on.
Bless you Shawne and Angel, my heart goes out to you, we just had to put our dear cat Merlin to sleep on the 19th of March,he was 18 and a half. It’s so difficult but weren’t we fortunate to know such loyal love.

This was too hard to watch 😭 My dog was 14 years old and past away in November last year and went through all the same things towards the end. The weight loss, losing strength, uncontrollable pooing… she would try to find places to hide and sleep, and I knew the time was coming. I didn’t want her to be alone and I kept staying by her side until it was time. I miss her so much
