I’m not and have never really been a hardcore stan / big fan of anyone on UA-cam since I was 12 and had just discovered it, but consistently I have been a fan of yours. I truly do believe you are one of the best modern comics on social media platforms atm. While I don’t understand how you’re not Matt Riffe /Theo Von level of fame, (I kinda do, it’s because you’re not trying to please an algorithm) I’m quite glad that you’re not. Also just want to thank you for always being open about your OCD because you were the first person I ever saw talking about it and joking about it but not minimising how awful it is and it made me feel more confident talking about my own experience. Thanks for talking so openly about your experience with OCD Drew. I do the same “no-OCD” thing too sometimes where I’ll make the “deal” with myself to not do any compulsions but that in and of itself BECOMES a compulsion (“if you do any OCD behaviour then the bad thing will happen”) and it just compounds the stress and everything feels even WORSE. Anyway I always love your content so much, you are so funny and brighten my day even when talking about topics that are really hard. I would say I love you but I don’t know you, but I love the impact you have on my days when I get to watch a Drew video.

I don’t have OCD but I have diagnosed depression and social anxiety really bad and I love watching Drew bc he calms my mind down. I’m able to focus on him and get a laugh out now and then. I love hearing him just talk 😁💛

The world has felt bad lately. It feels like people have less compassion for one another. Your videos never fail to make me laugh and smile though, and ease some of the loneliness.
Whenever I have an awkward social interaction, I like to play “Only God Can Judge Me” by 2Pac as a means of self-soothing lol. Kind of a comfort song for me, which probably sounds kind of funny, but I think it offers a decent mix of perspective and sentiments like “all you other motherfuckers can get out of my business”, which feels pretty nice to yell out when your ego just took a hit from a social faux pas.
Anyway, would recommend next time you feel embarrassed.
My daughter thought her name was baby until I had her baby brother recently.
And yes my OCD does that and I actually just typed this whole thing out and had to delete it because I can’t acknowledge this any further, thank you for understanding

I know this is 4 months old but the OCD thing about trying to reverse psychology it is SO REAL and I’m so glad you mentioned it. Sometimes I feel like an OCD fraud (whatever that means) when I have those moments so I’m so glad to hear other people experience it too and it’s not just me!!!
Also I’m pretty sure the actor that ate the melted ice cream is Rob McEllhenny and if it isn’t I know for sure he also did that method

i have OCD and i've experienced exactly what you were talking about, i even talked to my therapist at the time about it. she wasn't really familiar with OCD, so she just basically said something along the lines of "well that's good you should use it to your advantage". Needless to say, i quit going because it's really just another form of a mental compulsion /: it's also hard when obsessions/compulsions go away or come back or morph into different things so it feels never ending

Drew youve been a great comfort to me over the years. Ive delt with severe ocd, which jas evolved over the years with themes always changing (pure-o being constant) and the rituals and loops are so extreme and oddly specific at times; its truly hell and an overlooked mental illness. So i confide in hearing you speak on it in a casual lighthearted manner. Love the vids as always, your personality is very welcoming and the funniest on UA-cam. It sucks when medication doesnt give you the results you hoped for, but who needs them when you have drew :) ( its definitely not that simple at all but these vids are a nice form of momentary escapism)

Whenever I start to feel a bit disassociated your vids always help me to feel more in the moment or at home if that makes sense? Sometimes I get this extreme homesick feeling while I AM HOME? and it’s the worst because there’s nothing you can do about it. Listening to you talk about literally anything in the world is so comforting during those times…feels like hanging out with a friend.
Whenever I see a new video from you I can’t even explain how excited and happy I feel. I wish you could post more, but I completely understand why you don’t. There’s so much fear in posting, at least for me. Fear of judgement, being a perfectionist and judging yourself, not believing others when they wrote positive comments. I know sooo many people have written the same as me, that they could listen to you talk about absolutely anything…and I swear that’s true.
