"Flower boob is a real thing." LOL, you're killing me. Can't wait for the dress reveals. I just know they'll be spectacular. And, yes, you've been missed.
My motb dress last year - I went to the thrift store, saw a dress that inspired me. Bought it for $3.50. I went home, shopped my stash and found matching fabric. Used the skirt from the dress, made a bodice, hemmed the skirt. I loved it, perfect color, perfect fit.
Yay Vivmom is back! Wow beautiful fabrics! I love that you say "buy the fabric, it's a gift to ourselves". It is such fun and life is short so why not and you are right there is no such thing as too much fabric 😂
I am glad to know that I am not the only one buying fabric and vintage patterns for the three important events; bridal shower in a couple weeks, rehearsal dinner and wedding. I am so excited about sewing dresses and using gorgeous fabrics. I wish the mother of the bride would decide on the style and color or her dress, so I can make my final choices and start sewing. Looking forward to seeing your outfits.
I didn't notice "boob" blouse the way the three flowers were spaced. What I did notice was the color, fit and how the color complimented your skin tone.
I have to comment one more time. I have MISSED your videos so MUCH. No one else makes me laugh like you about sewing stuff! I am picturing one more week to the big day and your dress not done? YIIIIIKES! So fun! All lhe best to you and your family --have a WONDERFUL time!
Loved the fabrics you showed us on the video. Yes, everything will fall into place regarding your outfits for the wedding! When all is said and done, you will be a stunning mother of the bride with a wonderful smile on your face. Enjoy your special time with Candace when you see her. She will be a beautiful bride on May 7th.
Hey 👋🏻, so happy to see you Vivmom. You are just radiant and glowing. So nice to take a vacation. It does wonders. Your fabrics are all so beautiful 🤩 . The idea was great for that beautiful mauve see through but I get it that sometimes we just don’t want that extra work . Takes more patience to. So anxious to se your beautiful makes. So enjoy each moment till the wedding.
Love the silk that would have been an overlay! Can't imagine the gorgeousness that you chose over it. Weddings are over in a moment so enjoy and live in the moment.
Always fun to check in - you always make me laugh or smile. I laughed out loud…flower boobs. I didn’t notice till you pointed it out. Love all the fabrics and can’t wait to see your makes for the wedding.
I know you a lot better as you choose your wedding event fabrics. The rejects are so beautiful and hope you find a worthy project. As the day gets closer, remember you only have this one daughter's wedding AND your job is to be Happy and not stressed. A year from now you will be so in love with what you make so if you are stressed about minute things - remember ONLY YOU will see them!. Am anxiously waiting to see your dress reveal (in detail please). Dying to know why the just seen fabrics did not make the cut! God bless and have a great time.
Brides are always beautiful as well as the mother of the bride. Just all the radiant faces are enough! Do your best, enjoy the day and God Bless You all! Can't wait to hear how it went!
I am in the UK, I watch your channel, and I often think firstly how lucky you are with your fabric stores, such beautiful fabrics all the time the purple silk is literally stunning, Nothing like that in the UK. Often when you do the pattern sales I am amazed at the cost difference, either the big 4 or the indie patterns. It’s literally nothing to pay £20 uk for patterns.
As a beginner I love your fabric selections and your description of each fabric I get a lot of great ideas and expands my knowledge of how I select my fabrics. Love your videos.
There's a Vogue pattern that would be great for the fancy mauve fabric, it's V8943. That cotton with gold flowers is stunning. We missed you Viv. I'm praying for Candice to have a beautiful wedding.
So very nice to see you. I love all your fabric. The silk would be nice as an overlay with a fabric of the same tone under it. The shimmer of that silk would be awesome. Look forward to seeing you on your next video.
Well hello Vivian! I am absolutely surprised and delighted to have discovered your exciting wedding preparations update. It was so much fun to watch. I hope you don't mind but, while listening to this stellar wedding preparations status report...I wished I could--in real time-share my thoughts as they came to mind. (I'm pretty sure I am not the only enthusiastic, would-be wedding wardrobe consultant, that will watch this video and feel compelled to share. I am positive, however, I am the only presumptuous sewist-in waiting, who is still thrilled about taking up the hobby but has yet to make her first garment in 40 years! Thank you for taking the time to make and send this video. In doing so, we all get to really play the part we feel in our hearts: members of VivMom Sews family, if only distant relatives! Candace, everything you are hoping will be on your wedding day will turn out beautifully. You are going to be this season's most loved, elegant and sophisticated bride. And, be assured, your Momma will accomplish all of the wardrobe preparations awaiting her attention with plenty of time to spare. Please remind her that she has been using her many and varied fashion creativity skills for years...she is ready and you need her. If she was unable to get a stitch of her own dresses done, please remind her that her wardrobe is filled with exquisite garments of her own creation that would perfectly compliment this most important and holy occasion (your wedding ceremony), and your style and color choices beautifully worn by each member of your wedding party. It is perfect already. We can all see it in our mind's eye and feel it in our hearts. God bless you most lovely Candace-- cherished bride-to-be be; your beloved--soon to be--husband; and Vivian and Brad, your parent's whose love for you has no bounds. Sincerely, Anita Jonsson Your Canadian Cousin 🙏💖
I agree that your fabric selections are gorgeous. I also tend toward mauve and purple. That first fabric over the white is scrumptious. That white by itself speaks skinny legged pant suit to me. I'm looking forward to seeing your final selections. Happy sewing!
Well, I think taking the fitness bag was a great idea. In your head you were thinking this vacation was gonna be about a strict regimen, like a working vacation, and by setting such a low bar of expectations, you were really able to exult in the luxury of just enjoying yourself! That's a win! I like the shirt you wore, beautiful print,, not sure those were really boob flowers, since they weren't in the exact spots and they were two of several flowers on the front so you may want a second opinion (as sewers we notice stuff that's not on the average person's radar). All the fabric is gorgeous! Give yourself a break and take the pants to a tailor...(this is the best way to enjoy the run up to a wonderful event). This video really made me laugh though, your enthusiasm for fabric (and weddings) is contagious!
You have a good eye for fabric and patterns. I (we) know that you will be beautiful in whatever you wear. Your daughter will be very proud of you. You got this. I've been there too. 🤣
I love the fabric your top is made out of.🤗 I'm making my elopement dress when I lose a few pounds. I have a few months yet....he he...SO happy for you and your family...CONGRATS!!!
Glad you had a great vacation! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the wedding. Beautiful fabrics - look forward to seeing those in future videos.
Hi vivmom we have missed you loads, what lovely 🥰 fabrics you have cannot wait to see what you have been making and what your final choice for the wedding.Candace will look fabulous in her outfits you made for her have a lovely day cannot wait to see the photos. Dawn 🏴
As soon as I saw your white satin fabric my head screamed pant suit with the mauve as a long flowing topper. It would b stunning. Love all your fabrics I also would have a hard time deciding what to make but so much fun dreaming about the possibilities!!!! Good luck
Oh my gosh I love you so much!! I was wondering how things were going! I’m so glad you took the time to send us an update. I know your dress is going to be fabulous! Everything you make certainly is! I can’t wait for the fashion show! Enjoy the wedding! We will be here when you get back!
Two words: Shape wear. Good luck. I'm as excited as you are. 🤩 Unfortunately, my version of You Tube no longer displays the date of video... So I have no idea when you did this video OR will be back... I don't want to miss a thing.
I have 4 daughters, and all are married. I too was just feeling excited for each one for their special day. I'm happy you a not a frazzled mess and can feel and say your excited and happy. Everything will fall perfectly into place. Congratulations to all of
Viv you got this. Try a 16/8 intermittent fasting for the next 2 weeks. Drink plenty of water and lay off any sugars and you will be amazed and be good to go in the dress! Great to see you.
I was going to make a grandma of the groom dress so I picked my pattern made curved back adjustments and narrow shoulder adjustments and made a mock up out of a soft beautiful floral vintage sheet. It looks like a hospital gown! No joke. I think the sheet enhances the hospital gown look, but still not attractive in style. It fits well but still looks like a hospital gown verified by my two sisters! My husband took me shopping instead! I have a beautiful outfit that I will be able to use for more than just the wedding. I admire all the sewing you get done. Your makes are always stylish and beautiful.
On the subject of the pants hems. It is more about the pressing than the stitches. Measure with the intended shoes! Measure on the guy. Fold under and pin. Have them sit down of few minutes then check the length before going on. Do any re-adjusting. Take the pants to the ironing board and compare the two legs looking for glaring differences, just to check yourself before any cutting. Take one leg out of the way and with a damp pressing cloth of dish towel press with steam the edge only. That crease won't come out so be careful. The hem crease you made is the bottom of the pant leg, if you aren't doing a cuff. Measure the length you want for the hem turn under and cut the rest away. Serge the edge leaving the seam unstitched so you can open it for ease so hem lays flat with no puckering. Right side out, press again before stitching. Stitch by hand no matter what. Give a final pressing to the whole pant and let dry hanging from ankles. You can do it!
Viv, Loved ALL the fabric, but I have to comment on that ‘solid’ brick-ish!!! When you held it up to yourself, I could definitely picture it with accessories and it would be just gorgeous on you!! Even a nice shawl with it would be perfect!!! Can’t wait to see the makes! I just finish my ‘first’ ever ‘practice’ dress and I have to say that it was not too bad for a first try. I made it out of really inexpensive “Goodwell” haul and so it hardly cost anything. But since it was basically a practice, it will be worn only around home! Lol. Next time will be much better, I’m thinking. Enjoy the wedding!!!!
You're just bubbling!!! I love it & so excited for you! Just enjoy all the wedding events. By the way, sewing and buying fabrics are two different hobbies!
Ask Brad's opinion too, if you're stuck. You could wear a paper sack and still look great! Don't forget to wear something that you feel truly comfortable in! Dancing, hugging, sitting, eating, pics. All of the above!
So delighted that you are so rejuvenated from your vacation. That’s probably why you’re not so stressed about the upcoming nuptials. You look like you got a great tan . If need be just let those darts out if necessary. ✝️🙏😁
A waist cincher works wonders. The purple silk overlay is gorgeous! I hope you can find a close match for the lining and make something after the big day. The two brick colors will be nice this fall. Teal and Gold would have looked smashing had you had enough. I could imagine a matching gold bolero to go with a sheath dress. It is always fun to me to go out and buy lipsticks for the dresses, Your lips are nice and thick, unlike mine. Have fun reveling in the joy!
I love all the fabric! You might as well cave in to the fact that your psyche is begging for something in the rust or brick color and well it should! That material is to die for. It used to be one of my favorite colors along with peachy oranges. Now that My hair is gray and I’m in my 70s, I find I don’t wear it well. “C’est la vie!”
Nice to see you Viv and to have the update on your ever changing wedding plans. I love that purple, and cotton sateen is such an easy fabric to work. @9:43, a thread was started on PatternReview about Zelouf, but it just died out and they never became a sponsor as far as I can see. I lined two coats I made in just that colour. One side was shiny and the other had a faux suede look and feel.
Wellcome back! it is interested you bought the same fabric after few years. That prouve what consistent is your apearance, every dress showing is an emblema of your amazing personality
Well at least Brad got a work out lifting your fitness bag. Lots of joy and many blessings on your daughters and fiancé special day. My sewing is on hold for few days as we leave in just few days for 42 days down in Florida to visit family. So I’m busy getting few things done around my house and packing. Just cutting my portions down & walking I’ve lost 15 lbs & lost 1/2 inch in hips & boobs.
I thought I was the only one to take weights on holiday with good intention! 🤣 For a few minutes I thought you were still trying to decide which fabric and pattern to use for the wedding! I remember always being on the last minute finishing Vogue designer evening dresses back in the day when patterns just fit without any adjustments whatsoever. Happy days, if a little stressful. So many beautiful fabrics you decided against, I can’t wait to see what you chose! So glad you had an enjoyable holiday and I hope the preparations continue to go well! Love from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
You are a Delight! I'm late into catching up on your vids. Hope I can find the ones where you show your dresses for the wedding. Again, Viv, you are Beautifully Delightful ❤
I really didn't see the flower boobs until you pointed them out... LOL Looking forward to the dress reveal! I know they will just be spectacular. I just love the mauve fabric right at the beginning, although a different coloured underlining, maybe a similar colour to the fabric other than the white would be just beautiful :)
Brad got a workout picking up your fitness bag.... hahaha! The fabric you pick up at 10:15 (the grey with flowers) from Fabric Mart.... I wanted that so bad I could hardly stand it, when it was on sale. Alas I literally have no more space and cannot buy more fabric. Boo Hoo Hoo! One of the most beautiful fabrics I have ever seen!!!
lol omg ur so funny...i agree, never too much fabric! im so excited for this whole prep and hope we get to see your dress...great thing about knowing to sew is it doesnt matter if size changes we can always find a way to fix...tfs:)
I was drooling over all of the fabrics - can hardly wait till I see what you make out of them. I think your top is beautiful and do not worry about the “flower boobs”.
I didn’t notice until they were pointed out and even then went pffft, no big deal. I mean, that is nothing. Real flower boob is giant but this is only a faux flower boob.
Love love all you bring… such beautiful fabrics and real life stories… i am sure this weekend will prove that you are in the right place right time and right fit. Looking forward to all future reveals… many blessings to you and your family and your soon to be son in law💕
Those fabrics are gorgeous!!! I absolutely love the mauve silk! My color! Oh so beautiful! But the others also are gorgeous! I would have just as difficult a time, trust me! Ha! But I have no doubt it will all come together and everyone will be gorgeous! And the wedding as lovely as can be! And I know everyone is anxious to see pictures of the event!!! ❤️🙏🏻
Wonderful to see and hear from you. Happy to hear the wedding plans are going well. Good fallback plan. Can you get more of the blue fabric, with the gold flowers? Beautiful fabric. Wishing your family all the best, on your daughters wedding day. God bless the mother of the bride. Luv to all.
Hooray!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I meant to lend you some encouragement… it’s okay to take out the darts of your dress….who among us doesn’t want to lose that last 5…10…or whatever pounds for a very special event? I can say with CERTAINTY that even if you do it won’t matter…. LATER.. I pray that you center yourself, and let go of what you think you want…..in the end, your figure is perfect! 10 pounds, wouldn’t have made a difference! YOU ARE SO PERFECT AND LOVEABLE 💕💜💕
Hi Viv, fabric makes me happy! Your enthusiasm for fabric makes me happy! What can I say that you haven’t already said about fabric! I love my stash and can spend hours thinking about the various garments I will make. Then I come down to earth BUT I still have my inner glow. All good wishes for your family’s big event and every happiness for the young couple. Laura X💜
I like the mauve but I’d rather use black underneath. I can understand why you wouldn’t want to take on the two layers… not enough hours! I love your top you have on… looks really pretty! The gradient looks like it’s heavy enough for a jacket or duster! You make me laugh buying the same pieces! We all do this; know what we like! I have so many duplicated patterns. I have so many duplicates away last year. Best wishes to the bride and groom! Cheryl
Beautiful fabrics! My favorite was the one with the pink overlay but alas, it didn't work out. So excited for the next couple of weeks. I know you will get all these dresses done just in time.
Love all the fabrics Viv! I really like the pink flowers with gray background, where did U buy that? Viv you'll get down in weight, it's just a lot of water in the system! Can hardly wait to see your dress for the wedding! Have fun!!!
Weddings and all thei preparations are exciting! Looking forward to seeing all the garments. Enjoy, enjoy this special time. Wishing God’s blessings on the bride and groom!
Oooooo such fantastic materials wow hard to choose your killing me lol everything will be fine you are going to be a fabulous mother of the bride can't wait to see it all
hi! congratulations on the upcoming wedding of your daughter :) love your posts! that white with the purple overlay would be Stunning! ahhh! it'll all work out :) beautiful fabrics... appreciate your words of encouragement on creativity :) cannot wait to see what you've made... have fun :)
You are so calm! I would have been a nervous wreck! Those fabrics are gorgeous!
"Flower boob is a real thing." LOL, you're killing me. Can't wait for the dress reveals. I just know they'll be spectacular. And, yes, you've been missed.
Yes... and flower something-else has been trending as well. I find the trend distracting and irritating.
My motb dress last year - I went to the thrift store, saw a dress that inspired me. Bought it for $3.50. I went home, shopped my stash and found matching fabric. Used the skirt from the dress, made a bodice, hemmed the skirt. I loved it, perfect color, perfect fit.
I had a bit of a laugh when I read your comment. I found my MOTB at the opportunity shop. It was brand new with tags still on. A lovely dress.
The mauve seems to go with a light beige underneath. The white is a little stark for the mauve. You will look lovely
I have to comment one more time. I have MISSED your videos so MUCH. No one else makes me laugh like you about sewing stuff! I am picturing one more week to the big day and your dress not done? YIIIIIKES! So fun! All lhe best to you and your family --have a WONDERFUL time!

She will be a beautiful bride on May 7th.
They are all gorgeous, Viv! Jewel colours and beautiful drape 😍 I am so intrigued to see what your eventual dress looks like...
So happy to see you; you are absolutely hysterical and refreshing! I cannot wait to see the wedding attire! 👗
Always fun to check in - you always make me laugh or smile. I laughed out loud…flower boobs. I didn’t notice till you pointed it out. Love all the fabrics and can’t wait to see your makes for the wedding.

Gorgeous fabrics as usual. All will work out. Remember to enjoy yourselves!!!
Brides are always beautiful as well as the mother of the bride. Just all the radiant faces are enough!
Do your best, enjoy the day and God Bless You all! Can't wait to hear how it went!
I never noticed the flower boob until you said something. 😂 It’s really not bad at all.
Oh, YES, love, love, love Steak 'n Shake!
Check out Butterick pattern 6414. It may complement waistline. Taffeta fabric would look nicely. Good luck, 👍

This was delightful, and YOU are delightful! I hope you have an awesome mother-of-the-bride day and that everything goes as smooth as silk! 💕💕

I didn't even notice your flower placement until you mentioned it.😗 I love your fabric choices and can't wait to see your final dress.
You have a good eye for fabric and patterns. I (we) know that you will be beautiful in whatever you wear. Your daughter will be very proud of you. You got this. I've been there too. 🤣
Most of the time I sew under duress (birthdays, Christmas, etc.), but you have taken this to a whole new level. Good luck!
I love the fabric your top is made out of.🤗 I'm making my elopement dress when I lose a few pounds. I have a few months yet....he he...SO happy for you and your family...CONGRATS!!!
You are going to be the most beautiful mother-of-the-bride ever! 🌻🍄
Glad you had a great vacation!
Can't wait to see what you come up with for the wedding. Beautiful fabrics - look forward to seeing those in future videos.
You are right "everything will fall into place". It will be a beautiful wedding and you will cry but have a great time.
Hi vivmom we have missed you loads, what lovely 🥰 fabrics you have cannot wait to see what you have been making and what your final choice for the wedding.Candace will look fabulous in her outfits you made for her have a lovely day cannot wait to see the photos. Dawn 🏴
Make the mauve shiny fabric overlay over the stretch white satin! Please! I love it!
You are as cool as a cucumber!!! Such excitement! I can only imagine your dress! Cannot wait to see! Way to go Vivmom!
I just love that you make me feel better about the fabrics I've bought & are still awaiting the moment of inspiration to turn them into clothes 🤣😘
As soon as I saw your white satin fabric my head screamed pant suit with the mauve as a long flowing topper. It would b stunning. Love all your fabrics I also would have a hard time deciding what to make but so much fun dreaming about the possibilities!!!! Good luck

Love the purple and mint.
Viv you got this. Try a 16/8 intermittent fasting for the next 2 weeks. Drink plenty of water and lay off any sugars and you will be amazed and be good to go in the dress! Great to see you.

I am a nurse turned attorney later as a second career, your comment is a hoot. You are correct. Hospital gowns do not work at weddings.
On the subject of the pants hems. It is more about the pressing than the stitches. Measure with the intended shoes! Measure on the guy. Fold under and pin. Thanks Barbara Anne! I’ve been studying up on this and I welcome your excellent tips. Onward and upward!😄
Ahhhh the light whispy print rayon. I love them all, but that one took my heart!!!

Love the floral fabrics 👍🙂
I love to hear the excitement in your voice! God Bless and enjoy this special time. Good to see you again.

Missed you 😘😘😘 and sooo exciting 🥳🥳🥳 xx
Fab to see you and yr lovely fabric!
Whatever you decide to make will be beautiful. So happy for Candace. Have a wonderful wedding and just enjoy your time together.
Love, love the blouse fabric! Really complimentary on you.
You where missed and Lol your vaca was a real one food and all. Love your choice for the wedding .
Christine here, congratulations on Candace’s wedding. I am sure that everything will be wonderful. Love all your fabrics! Hugs xx
Gorgeous fabrics. All worthy to make some special.
You are a Delight! I'm late into catching up on your vids. Hope I can find the ones where you show your dresses for the wedding. Again, Viv, you are Beautifully Delightful ❤
Aw shucks, thanks terrybear! What a sweetheart.😄
I just checked this week to see if you had a video up. How fun & exciting it will be. Enjoy it all. Can't wait to see pictures.
One of the most beautiful fabrics I have ever seen!!!
love this- you will be beautiful whatever you wear, Vivmom~~ congrats to you and Brad, and of course the lovely bride and her groom...
lol omg ur so funny...i agree, never too much fabric! im so excited for this whole prep and hope we get to see your dress...great thing about knowing to sew is it doesnt matter if size changes we can always find a way to fix...tfs:)
To fit Candice’s dress a thought is to use the brooch pins from hildie & jo at Joann with crystals.
All of the fabrics are beautiful. I can hardly wait to see what you end up with.
Thank you! Yes I bought two tons of happy fabric this spring. And haven't started a thing. 😄😄
❤️🙏🏻
There's no such thing as to much fabric 😜
We need it all!
Indeed 😅
Gorgeous fabric as usual….look forward to seeing the dresses…..🌺
You are able to select the most beautiful fabric! Giveaways huh? I’m here for it!!
Laura X💜
You're Great !!! As usual. Love seeing you again.
Thanks for sharing! I love your message, "buy all the fabrics"!!! Ha!! I can't wait to see you MOTB dress!!

Take the suit pants to a dry cleaning establishment that does alterations. Worth EVERY penny to cross those off your list!
Love all of the fabrics!😋
