Oh man, that WoW Classic Login Screen hit me! Those were good times.
lol the best
Hey Jake, thanks for the video, I totally agree :D Now I really enjoy spending time in the sun, nearly empty shops and public spaces. Like everyday is a holiday.. but just for us. Love exploring every inch of my city and surroundings without a rush. It's a pity my friends don't have such possibility. Are you planning to share with us some of your travels/hikes, maybe on different channel? Love the background videos, greetings from Poland
Hey! Yeah it’s sad we can’t spend more time with friends during the week but they work. It’s kind of a weird feeling but it’s fine. That’s so cool to hear you are from Poland. One of our best friends is from Poland! Yeah we will share more about it next year
The cruise and European vaca sounds cool. Last spring I saved my but off by working all the OT I could and took a 7 day tour of Israel in mid-August. That was a bucket list trip. This August is my 40th high school reunion so not traveling more than 300 miles to drive to Virginia Beach for the reunion. I am looking forward to the day when I can just get in my car with my dog and drive cross country. I am thinking of car camping in my Subaru Outback or buying a roof top tent.
That sounds like a great way to celebrate early retirement. Driving around the us with your dog would be a lot of fun. I follow a guy on UA-cam who does that.
❤ America is such a beautiful, amazing Country ❤
another great video! I am so close to my first $100k in investments! Do you have a list of your videos a "beginner" should watch on your channel? I opened a M1 account after watching some of your videos and if you have any videos that show how to use M1 that would be great! I like the M1 "pies" interface, so I am looking forward to using it, but I am not sure how to start when it comes to making a "dividend growth" pie. Thanks!
I would recommend checking out these videos to learn more about reaching Financial Independence with dividend investing. There is a lot here, so you may want to consider watching at 1.5x speed.
The simple path to wealth with dividend investing: ua-cam.com/video/86rluNC0xWY/v-deo.html
This is how I recommend most people focus where to invest if they want to live off their dividend portfolio
The Simple Path to Wealth with dividend investing (Core and Satellite Portfolio: ua-cam.com/video/iEwAipBKPUo/v-deo.html
This video is important because I talk about keeping things simple and using the core and satellite approach to investing.
How to pay ZERO taxes on JEPI or SCHD dividend: ua-cam.com/video/9_LX-ayAzo0/v-deo.html
This video is great because it shows that you can retire before the age of 59.5 and still pay no taxes on your dividend income
The stages of F.I.R.E. (Financial Independence, Retire Early: ua-cam.com/video/PMz5yIzPHjo/v-deo.html

This is how I invest with my Roth IRA. This is not a dividend focus, this is more focused on growth
Planning for early retirement with dividend investing: ua-cam.com/video/cJffRqYQpqo/v-deo.html
This is a playlist of all different topics that you will want to consider when thinking about retiring early with dividend investing. These videos are a little older, but helpful. I would suggest watching these on 1.5x or 2x speed
@@DividendGrowthInvesting thank you sir!!! Cheers and love to you and your family!
It's the cool thing now to be a introvert....
Well I think people are just tired of people lol
Something to look forward to in the near future. I turn 60 next month and plan on retireing at the end of the year, or maybe earlier. Having the ability to spend time as I want with my family instead of the work grind is what I'm looking forward to the most. Have a great time with your family on your travels.
Being able to choose how and where you spend your time is the most important! That's exciting you are retiring here very soon! I bet you and your family are very excited!
@DividendGrowthInvesting Thanks, and you are absolutely correct. We are looking forward to it. Love your videos and your investing knowledge. I've learned a lot and continue to. Wish you the best on your trip to Europe. I served in Germany, back in '03 and like it. You made me laugh when you mentioned introvert. Very familiar. Keep up your videos, and thank you!
@@manna5610 I was there in 2005. Feels like an eternity ago.
I like these types of videos. We get a sneak peek at what is at the end of the FIRE rainbow!
I'm glad you like them! That rainbow can look different for everyone which makes pursuing FIRE even better!
One of the biggest concerns for i and wife is whats the best investing platform account that we can use to invest in and be able to access from aboard. for example migration to another country. how would we be able to get access to our accounts and live off the dividends?
Well if you go somewhere more permanent, you could get a local checking account. That is what I did while living in Germany. Otherwise, you can use your accounts from the US in other countries, e.g. ATMs charge a small fee. Credit cards with no foreign transaction fees are great. We live in a digital world now :)
@@DividendGrowthInvesting what about the broker account would I be able to log in and view my investing accounts? for example m1 finance
@@ksbbeta Of course! Unless you are in a country that bans certain websites but I can't imagine that.
helloo!! cool picture in the beginning of the vid 🤩
hey there!! Yeah I love it here!
I love the six days of Saturdays and one Sunday.
Yes!!
On Friday evening I went out for dinner with 2 mixed couples, American men + German wives, and other German friends of them. I was asking one of the American men if he wanted to go back to live in the USA The answer was NO. His wife told me they lived in Montana for several years and they went back to Germany because they were exhausted, just work, work, work all the time. He told me that, from his point of view, everything was better in Germany, the food, the education of his 2 sons, holidays, healthcare, etc. John, the second American man, who has been retired for a while, agreed with him.
We were in a restaurant in Bernkastel-Kuess enjoying the good weather and some classic cars.
You should come to the Mosel Valley one day and visit all the hidden gems here.
Ich freue mich auf eure Reise nach Europa.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Eva Maria

Great video Jake. Kind of centers me listening to you just talk about your plans and the “small” things that make F.I. worth making the sacrifices for. I’m so damn close and I’m starting to make plans for the day that I actually step away. A lot of excitement but also a lot of anxiety about the unknown afterwards. Was this the case for you at all? It probably helped that you were let go from your job so you didn’t have to quit but I imagine that there was still a bit of initial anxiousness? It’s one thing to dream about it but it’s a whole other thing to actually do it.
Also, I love that you mentioned H-E-B 😂 If HEB ever goes public, I’m in! Best grocery store hands down. The BBQ, the tortillas, the produce! Top notch! Outsiders are excited about visiting a gas station (Buccees) so surely grocery stores can get hyped up too 😂
lol buccees and HEB are the best!!! Oh i'm right there with you when it comes to the anxiety that comes with quitting or making the change from working full time to reaching FI. I don't think the anxiety will ever fully go away. All you can do is prepare the best you can and be satisfied that you did all that you could to prepare. I would say I wish I had a bigger cash reserve or emergency fund before reaching FI. I actually was planning on working 1 more year so I didn't get to have that cash buffer.. It is what is I guess.. Still happy where I'm at though and I'm sure you will be as well!
Welcome back to Utah. I'm your neighbor, living in Highland.
Thanks! That is one of my favorite areas in Utah! I wish I bought a home back in Alpine before the tech boom in Lehi.
I don't like pressure. I am an introvert. Sales, that's the career for me 🤯.
How did you survive?
lol it was pretty hard at times. I have a lot of energy during the day, but then at night I completely crash. Glad its over lol
Omg! Such a great video! Hello from Austin!

''asking pto and someone having power over you''.
This is why i want to become financial independed.
Currently i'm sitting at home with a burnout because my PTO requests has been denied for three months.. so now i've paid-off sick leave for no idea how long while they could have had me gone for a week or two instead..
I've got more money now since i ever had. But it slowly has to grow. Hoping to be somewhere financial well off in 10 to 20 years max.
Only time will tell!
Yeah I absolutely hated the fact that someone else could say no to be being able to spend christmas with my family or take off for a birthday... Maybe Barista FIRE is something for you. This may cut down that timeline in half and you may end up loving it!
