Yeah, definitely a difference. Runcam is more "colorful", but at the expense of clarity. Would do in a pinch, but no way I'd leave a DJI camera for it. Great vid and tutorial! You and Bardwell are my go to sources for FPV info. Thanks!!
Fortunately my eyes aren't discriminating enough where either one seems "bad". Just like I can enjoy $2 cigars and $7 bottles of wine, either of these will work for me, so why not save the money? Either of them are way better than the analog I was flying less than a year ago, and still do sometimes. And that is still fun too. Like sex and pizza, even the worst fpv is still good.
Yeah that’s why I snagged 5 original vistas 3 weeks ago. I am diggin the rich colors of the runcam though. I trust your opinion so I may pick one up for comparison.
The only difference is the color saturation. The Runcam looks more vivid yet darker in the darks (maybe its a contrast difference/ or both) Quality wise - it looks AWESOME. Too bad I don't own DJI goggles ☹
Nice video dude. I just got one of these because I couldn't resist the price... $135! I haven't installed it in anything yet, but it's probably gonna wind up in a plane. I started w/digital this summer when the V2 goggles were readily available but the Air Units were super hard to come by. The DJI originals were going for $400 on Amazon. I love that stuff is available again, and think I'll be happy with the Runcam. Love the color pop it has!
i'm not 100% sure you can technically see 120p in a 60p clip, but somehow the dji looks smoother (call me crazy). Like some others here, i'm only just now moving from ana to digi and that itself is more than enough for me at least for now. Having said that, i can see some ppl wanting higher frame rates when the situation calls for it, like ure hitting a tiny gap coming off a spin or whatever and that extra resolution could be the difference in seeing that wire running across said gap. happy flying! Edit: yes i too am relieved that dji has opened the market up. Disrupting a potential monopoly is another major factor to consider, even if i'm "grabbing the phoenix just cos caddx is out"
Quick question. Are you able to remove the fc part from the unit? I only need the vtx part... Is that possible? Dont know if im asking right. Im new to this lol
No diff in my eyes between 60 and 120. Runcam has done me good for several years now and when the analog Phoenix 2 cam out I was impressed with the color saturation, and it's just as good here, so Runcam is the winner here imo and hits that nexus point of quality meets price
Did you crop the link video down to 4:3? I thought it was locked at 16:9? As far as latency goes, it's really not something an observer can see in a video. It's something you feel as a pilot. Did you feel a difference?
Im not sure he had the dji camera on full quality? i think maybe it was on the low latency mode?...runcam sure know how to make them colours pop though..but it will be dji for me :)
Only thing i hate is that 1 screw on each side . i like that og cam for that. But pyro had a fat order couple weeks ago I'm sure they got some or newbedrone but I dont like ordering from them 😂
yeah, chinese in mainland deceiving the cunsumers using this trick. They made you buy it but tell the half true and has inficient instruction. for example, they show it not in Product instruction, that the system cannot direkt access to smartphone and display on smartphone without dji googles.

Excellent video and insane flying!
Great Video! I saw more "colors" , good choice

Great vid as always brother. Appreciate the info!
That runcam looking good tho!!!
It's the latency for most people IMO. Great video though, I agree that having more competition is a good thing!

I found Vista Nebula Pros very recently. I picked up a couple.

Don't worry, I have DJI goggles and I still fly Analog 😉

How do i get video out of these cameras to a monitor (hdmi?) without having to use/buy them googles?

Lookin great bro!
Digital is out of reach for me tho!

You can adjust colors on dji if you like
@@DoctorrMetal only the saturation...which isnt gonna change the colour, just make the colour it see' stronger

🔥🔥🔥
🤔...🧐 A BIG Difference🤣
This is a 60 fps video...
If it ain’t 120fps I don’t want one
i think you would notice latency more than frame rate
