Go digital...but the smart hobbyist will stay far far away from dji..if you're just a consumer type who cares little about the fpv community go for it ..otherwise go HDZero so you won't be a PITA for everyone else you try to fly with...🖖🏼
@Steve Beatty i love Open Source, and I want HD Zero to succeed. But for 5" bando bashing, it really lacks the penetration, image quality, and hardware durability of DJI. DJI is also less expensive, and has goggles on the market. I'd say DJI is best platform for most hobbiest and professionals right now, Walk Snail if you want a beta quality clone of DJI without the corporate overlords, and HDZero/analog for Racing/Whoops 👌 The good news is there's lots of good options now
@@Fly_High_FPV sorry....from the viewpoint of someone who flies parks and schools and has been trying to fly with dji users for a few years now...the dji system was poorly thought out and clearly was not designed with the existing fpv ecosystem in mind...else we wouldn't have all the problems we do have with them in the field...I have been involved in rc for nearly 40 years now...there has never been a system that required segregating at events... nor one that hogged so much of the available frequency band just so they can have a slightly better center image..If not for HDZero I would still be flying analog as I could not in good faith support such an intrusive system......As far as the bando claims. ...dji simply gives up out of embarrassment when it reaches the edge of it's range or can't provide a perfect image and blacks out...seen that myself twice now...helped the poor folks find their quads...1 some 400 feet from where he last had a clear image (static by that time ?) ..I'd rather have a little snow than a black out ..just a personal thing..I hope you understand. 😉 I'd point out that HDZero has far surpassed dji's hard range limit but I don't really do long range...too far to walk for recovery ..🥴 good luck 🖖🏼
ive just gone dji 2 weeks ago i wish i had done it sooner i have got nebula pro vista and the og dji vista both are great for latency and have 4.3 50mbs ive been waiting on the runcam wasp looks awesome .
Good to have another option if the Polar Vista's run out. Thanks for the review DrainMan. If you 'upgrade' to WTFOS, I would love to a video and your take on installing and configuring it. That might tip me over the edge to install it as well.
Please do a comparison with this and the polar. I would never buy a 60 fps cam , but I would buy the wasp over others if it definitely has better low light performance.
The runcam link wasp is the new all time best DJI camera/vtx system you can get now. When on sale on aliexpress. These can be purchased for $115 after tax and shipped. Which is practically identical to analog pricing.
Nice rip. Where's the night footage?? I have a Nebula Pro on a LR and I've been caught out late coming back wishing it was a Polar, and I have a Polar on my night rig but looks meh in daylight.
Watch Nick Burns video on the Runcam Link Falcon - It kicked the shit out of the Nebula Pro Nano in low light sensitivity! Wasn't close - the Falcon was great!
I stocked up on dji cameras when I found out that they were going away. Glad to know there is a replacement out there. Now the only question is can it survive a drowning? I had two water landings with my dji vista setup and it recovered with no problems.
@@RanHam was just curious as I did the same with a vista on salt water, it wasn't full submerged but still works! Just amazing, you don't get that with analogue in general
I was thinking the same thing, Dave. Probably going to block the root hack if it's got the brand new firmware. I'm glad I just grabbed one of the last OG Vistas I could find.
@WillPowerFPV ive still got plenty 👌 ive actually been barking up Foxeer's tree to hurry the fuck up and drop a 120FPS cam for DJI...they promised 120fps apollo, but it released as 60fps right after the 120fps shortage had resolved itself. I would kill for a digital Predator/T-Rex
@@Fly_High_FPV yeah, that would kick ass! To be perfectly honest, I've never really had a runcam camera that I've been blown away by. I do run a couple nebula Pro Nanos, but the rest of my rigs are running the DJI camera and it would be nice not to have to "downgrade". I noticed in another video, some really strange colors out of this wasp camera, but I guess on the plus note it is way better at night than any of the caddx cameras, aside from the polar (which is still better, but who wants 60 FPS) 🤢
@@Fly_High_FPV oh, and that's good to know. I might want to stock up on a couple of those before they sell out. I just got the LED strips you sent me last week, and they're excellent! Also, I've never had anything shipped so inexpensively from the states before, it did take a while to get here, and it did 14 stops between Illinois and alabama, but I'm okay with that to save a significant amount of money..😅👌 thanks.✌️
IMO, this Wasp is not nearly as exciting as Runcam's previous camera the Runcam Link Falcon... Wasp specs: 120fps, 720P, 4:3 only, No Adjustments in goggles, 7.5g for the camera, $139.99. Falcon: 120fps, 1080P - 1920 x 1080! So, with V2 goggles you will get your full 810P resolution possible, FULL adjustments in goggles to tweak your image quality, 4:3 & 16:9 (since we can adjust settings in the goggles, I think this is also adjustable), 4 GRAMS!, $154.99 - so, $15 more than the Wasp, but IMO worth it! In other reviews comparing the Wasp to other cameras, it seems to be a tad over sharpened. We can't adjust that! See JB's review from yesterday. Nick Burns compares the Falcon to the Nebula Pro Nano and we can see no over sharpening, IMO. We can also see a comparable image quality, with a very slight saturation level difference, which is adjustable in the goggles. Wasp can't do that! BIG BONUS: Against the Nebula Pro Nano, the Falcon has a huge advantage in low light sensitivity and night flying!
Yo D’man can you hit me up I’ve got a few questions for ya about my birds that I have and the radios that I’ve got for them. Also have a well hit me up yo please
Man I’m sry but I think this wasp cam is crap. Haven’t really cared for any runcam products. The image never truly impresses. To much distortion and blur.
Sure, you just have to install a Crossfire receiver for each quad you fly. The Vista/Link and any camera for them, work perfectly fine with ANY transmitter. You just need a receiver for that transmitter. :)
@@KOrnhOliO1 which begs the question... Why all the fuzz? I ordered one just because I am addict and can't help myself. But the Falcon is a much better deal for sure!
Sweet Thanks Drainman. For the review. Looking good bro. 💪🏻👊🏻
I’m so glad to see this I wasn’t ready to dump the system yet
I been thinking of going digital so bad lately and I think this out the cherry on top to make that move for sure now
Holla, i've got V2 goggles in stock, Ethix Headstraps, and TrueRC antennas. And of course. I'm always happy to help 🙌
Send it brother you will love it

Does it have to remain in the 4;3 aspect ratio or is ther an option to go 16;9
Thanks for the review but how does it work in low lite & nite?
Nice one bro
where do find instructions to connect cam to goggles
it almost has it all.
except 16:9
the curve needs adjustment
From a country thats not the USA Florida the flying around indicates IAN never paid a visit.

NO....and no adjustments in V2 goggles like other 120fps cameras! :(
