I take great delight in spending time looking through dusty music manuscripts and old publications (new ones too for that matter). This tune comes from John Peacock’s collection of tunes for the Northumbrian pipes from the early nineteenth century. When I first played through the material in this book it completely passed me by, but then some friends requested it and pointed me towards the fabulous recording made by the Andy May Trio on the album ‘About Time’ and I’ve been loving it ever since.
