      www.moldman.com is where I get all my molds. For a small fee they even make you custom molds. They are great.

    I so love your videos! I have learned so much. May I ask please what type of Wick or size I should say did you with the milk carton with?

    • @LaurensLollipops
      @LaurensLollipops  5 років тому

      Size of the wick depends on the size of the mold. What size milk carton? When you purchase it the seller should specify burn in inches. I prefer square braid cotton for most projects. But there are several factors for choosing a wick...one of my suppliers has a great tool to help you determine the best wick...they also sell great supplies. www.candlescience.com/learning/wick-guide
      Hope that helps.

    Love your videos and I hope you still reply. I noticed on your first video when making the chuck pillar you didn't use a wick pin but on this one you did. Is there a reason why & is it really necessary?

    • @LaurensLollipops
      @LaurensLollipops  5 років тому

      Sorry for the time it has taken for me to respond to your question. Clearly I am better at crafting them I am managing social media. Apologies for creating some confusion on the wick. Some candle mold; most pillars have a small hole at the base of the mold, allowing you to wick the mold before you pour the candle. Some molds; containers and most votives don't have a pre drilled wick hole, in those cases you use a wick pin or a zinc core wick tab. Hope that answers your question.

    What types of wics do you use according to the diameter of the candles? This has been a tough one for me. I would be super appreciative to be enlightened on that.

    • @everythinghunkydory
      @everythinghunkydory 10 років тому

      Yes wick size is chosen my diameter. It is also sold that way. I prefer square braid for pillar candles because it provides a fuller flame. Tapers a flat braid. Containers a zinc core, tabbed wick to aid in the even burning. Lots of suppliers I get mine at letitshineusa.com

      @@everythinghunkydory , you say you like to use zinc in your container candles. What type of wax do you use?

  • @katiepotato4612

    what sort of wax melter are you using? With the spout?

    • @everythinghunkydory
      @everythinghunkydory 9 років тому

      As a starter you can use all sorts of this to melt wax. double boilers, crock pots, but in my everyday use I have purchased a double walled insulated wax melter from CES- they have all different sizes. I am using my 22 lb melter in this video. A few bonuses to the melter- you set the temp and your wax is melted and heated to temp- unlike stove top methods which can vary and be unpredictable. If also has an auto off switch if the wax gets to hot. Important since wax being oil based will ignite at 450 degrees
