As a former sonic employee a few things come to mind: 1) I hated making blasts, especially snickers. Cup busting was all too common and the more candy, the more likely it was to bust. Plus cleaning up the candy station after blast sales was rough. 2) The burgers were held on the right side of the grill at 160F even past the 10 min mark. Needless to say, it was something that happened just after lunch or dinner. Freshness depended on the cook that day. 3) I was paid minimum wage and rarely got raises even though my performance was not shoddy. Sonic simply doesn’t pay employees well at all. 4) Ice machines and condiment areas were playgrounds for mold. Seals weren’t always cleaned, and if I was in the kitchen, it took extra time to clean these areas properly. There wasn’t enough time during the shift to do it, so it happened near closing time. Once I graduated college and left sonic, I vowed never to eat there again because of just how bad some of the practices were. Plus their food is average at best.
I am currently working at sonic and honestly it’s the best ,only thing I hate is when people come at the same time and order at the same time and make orders difficult. And your manager wasn’t a great one if she paid you a little amount and did not clean out the stuff that needed to be cleaned .
I went there thinking it was gonna be this amazing place from seeing all the delicious looking commercials, boy was I wrong. The food was pure trash. The info in this video is one of the nastiest things I've heard of yet. I've worked around soft serve ice cream machines and ice making machines and those can become dangerously disgusting if you don't have people maintaining them on a regular basis. One question, Im having a hard time understanding what they mean when the cup bursts ? How does a styrofoam cup just burst??
as an ex employee the half priced shakes summer deal were a nightmare. And when it came to that time our shake machine would start to make it a bit runny. It also drove me nuts when people asked for blasts at that time when it wasn't half off. The blast machine would look like a creation of a horror movie for the next few hours 🤢

All I can say is blame it on y’all GM😭the sonic I work at is great we do flips everyday and we filter everyday, and after every blast we use a sanitary cup to clean...‼️so speak for your own sonic.
This is why I like working at canes, we filter the oil 2-3 times a day, constantly rotate the food so its never more than 2 days old in the fridge. The whole kitchen gets pulled apart and every crack gets fully cleaned every close shift. They check and spot clean the bathrooms every 15 minutes. The condiment and drink nozzles get cleaned every shift too. I feel hella good about working and eating there.
I've worked multiple sonics in multiple states, talked to multiple owners, and managers. None of the issues brought up in this video have ever been done. Because they actually check their cameras.
I am currently working at Sonic Drive-in. And definitely don't love this representation. That is all individual stores lazy and carelessness. At my sonic everything gets cleaned out, we always restart if we burst a cup, always change out the containers and dump old product. We strive for a good, clean, functional store. I can confirm though that the harder the blast the harder it is to make, however, it's our jobs to please the customer so we deal with it.
as someone who has worked at two different sonics, all of this is right. my biggest issue sonic is how they treat employees, though. car hops make less than minimum wage, and sometimes managers would be skimpy with making sure they got enough tips to cover the difference. employees rarely get raises, no matter how hard they work. depending on the store, employees don't get enough breaks. I've had to stay an hour late (making it an 11 hour shift) without a single break.. I just avoid sonic now
I'm crossed trained at sonic (can cook, and car hop) and I've seen both how the food and shakes are made. It all depends on the store. Our sonic has never failed an inspection and is kept in very clean condition. It just bugs me that this video makes it seen like all sonic drive-in are like this
I can’t understand people who genuinely don’t care to clean their machines/utensils. I’ve worked at the busiest Panera as a dishwasher and cleaned the dining room as well as the restrooms. I hated my job, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do my best or was lazy at it. I was paid minimum wage with no tips and I still made sure all of my work was done properly. From cleaning bagel/bread machines to soup warmers to the fountain drink area. Even the big machine that made lattes and espressos. It was tedious and even while it being incredibly busy nonstop, I still did it and with no help. On top of the cleaning, I’d cover the registers and prepped food and croutons and even cover bakery in one shift. Not trying to make myself look or sound all high and mighty, but I took my job seriously and did it because people paid to eat there and I wanted them to get what they paid for. If I new something was moldy or had plastic/paper in it, I would never serve it to anyone. It’s just pure laziness from the people saying they never cleaned the machines or tubes. Do your job even if you hate it.
RAW EXOTICS I also work at sonic, cheese sticks are probably the best and one of the freshest things we served since they are dropped only once the customer had ordered them
These videos are such BS! The Department of Health, who by the way conduct REGULAR inspections on any restaurant has the results of these inspections available on their website.
styx53ocean Twice a year isn’t regular. And the health inspections are a joke, I worked for Sonic for a combined 4 years and trust me, the restaurants aren’t kept like they should and health inspectors don’t look as hard as they should. In the store that I managed our ice cream machines were regularly cleaned, but several other locations nearby that I visited did not and had disgusting habits.
I've worked in kitchens when the health inspector comes and it always ended the same way: the owner counting out a wad of cash, and the inspector thanking him and leaving.
Glad I've never eaten at Sonic then. That is just gross. I worked at grocery store in the deli, meat, and produce departments and the health inspections are very thorough.
I work at sonic. We have metal cuffs that we use to make blasts. We take pride in our work. We clean our ice cream machine every other day and no new milk base is put into old milk base.
I worked at Sonic for four years, and 90% of this is hype and lies. It all comes down to management at the location and if the workers are lazy, you have a dirty store. We cleaned the ice cream machine and slush machine daily. The only thing to avoid is the bacon.. it can sit for up to 48 hrs before tossed.
Ok so ive been working as a carhop/fountian at sonic for about 8 months now, and most of this is BS. We clean our ice cream machine every three days, sometimes every two if we have been very busy, we have never seen mold, and always keep the ice cream station clean, its the fountians job. Making blasts with alot of candy is not that hard at all, the blender literally does all the damn work, its the users fault if they rub the inside of the cup on the blades and scratch the insides, but who tf uses paper cups still, all we have is styrofoam and we dont make shakes or blasts with the lids on so all thats also BS. We clean the blenders after every peanut butter blast or shake to prevent cross contamination for allergies, but not after every single use durring a rush bc sometime it can get very hectic and theres no point in cleaning it when it only has less than a quarter teaspoons worth of ice cream on the blades. We have never used our hands to dump candy in the station, when you can literally just pour it in there. And i doubt that a location was *storing* a bag of ice cream mix in the sink, no, they had it there for a second before they put it into the machine bc a fountain also has about 8 other jobs at hand and its hard to not be interrupted by having to do something else real quick. Lastly, who goes to sonic to eat healthy, ITS A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT literally nothing is healthy there except the lettuce, tomatoes, and the ice, people come to sonic to pig out and take a break, not watch their caloric intake and keep their paleo diet, the ice cream is so popular bc its made to make people happy once in a while, ive never brought out ice cream to people where they wernt excited to recieve it, its not supposed to be healthy. All in all, if you choose a clean sonic you wont yave any problems bc most likely the people who are willing to keep it clean are happy with their jobs and will try to stay good at it.
sam perise You work at a really good one then. I’m a Hop at one and while it isn’t that bad we’ve had our moments. Like the Tea urn nozzle wasn’t cleaned for at least a month and I found black mold in it :))))) But a town away from me had maggots and mold under the ice cream bins. Honestly some Sonics are disgusting
Just be lucky you work at a good one. I’ve talked to several former employees from different Sonics and we all agree, they suck. I’ve meet one person from a different state who liked working at sonic.
Thank you for putting this video together. This was an amazing video to watch front to back. You have a great voice for UA-cam and I hope you continue to make videos in the future. Good luck sir.
I have been at the same Sonic in Pueblo West, CO for just about two years. My poor friend and I clean the machine every Friday with the GM. We keep our story very clean. I am by myself for most oof half price shakes during the summer and I can tell you that anyone that actually knows how to make ice-cream the right way, hardly ever breaks cups. If I do break one, I throw it away and start all over. I keep my station very clean and make sure no peanut candies are mixed with other ones so no one is affected if they have allergies. This video must target only a few locations because My store is in tip-top shape.
I used to work at Sonic in 2013-2014, and I can say that the cream that came off the trucks for the shakes smelled rancid straight from the truck and I always wondered why. Blasts are easy to make, just put in half a cup of ice cream then whatever topping then ice cream on top and then blend it.
I hated working here. I always avoided making blasts because it seriously scared me. It busted on me and it took forever. The ice cream did come in bags that we put in containers. We kept our things clean though for the most part besides the one time a girl got her hair stuck in the blender and it was barely sanitized after. Plus fruit flies are always on the bananas. And the burgers come out the freezer looking like the gcf ones and my old manager used to eat some of the food with her bare hands and nobody uses gloves unless you’re in the kitchen.
There are three types of commentors in this comment section: 1) People who have never worked at a Sonic 2) People who have never worked at a well run Sonic 3) People who have never worked at a poorly run Sonic Also I used to get double cups frequently at this one Sonic. I'm pretty sure I separated them a few times and saw that both were fine, but now I'm concerned since both type 2 and 3 have confirmed that cup busting is a thing.
I think the lady misses the point. Who has ever said, "I think I want something healthy, hey there's a Sonic!". Its a guilty pleasure. We don't all have to be super serious 24/7.
The 10% real ice cream means that the soft serve mix is 10% dairy/milk fat. I order soft serve mix in bulk for my home ice cream shop. It comes in 2.5 gallon bags and is pasteurized,
We actually don’t have to clean the ice cream machine that much and it actually depends on what location you go to so I can’t vouch for the crappy locations but actually our ice cream mix is 100% real ice cream mix and yes we pour them into plastic tubs that feed it into the machine that freezes it out gets cleaned out weekly we can tell instantly when it’s bad because it stinks
At the sonic where I used to work they never cleaned the ice cream machine and if you ordered a blast and you where allergic to peanut butter there could be peanut residue left on the blender because it is never cleaned.
Stephen Leslie the managers never told us to clean the machines they only told us to add more cream to it and they never showed us how to properly clean it. If I am not shown how to do something then how can I clean it.
dubrob210 I’m sorry but I am already moved beyond Sonic I found a job that pays 10.25 a hour that is DOUBLE what I got at sonic and it is the same wage managers get at sonic. I never planned to have a career at Sonic it was a first job and that’s it they treated me like shit and so I left.
i work at sonic but i dont do anything with the shakes and slushies, im a cook. we keep our burgers sitting on the grill for a long ass time and it usually doesn't tastes as good as if you order it fresh so always order the burgers fresh. we also keep the stuff like the chedder peppers and mozz sticks sitting around. the cheese is usually not gooey by then so order those stuff fresh too.
@@oneworldcommunity117 bro they loveee tryna save that old ass slop. I swear i just tossed out a tender that was shaped just like a rat. Look like it had legs & the long tail just fried
@@htownhungryhustle9611 jesus lmfao that sounds fuckin horrible! yeah some of these sonics they just have employees that suck ass. maybe go to a different sonic or something
I actually work at a Sonic and it is a terrible place to work ours in tx sucks our first aid kit hasn't been filled in years hands never get washed gloves never worn and food made slooply Sonic is disgusting never eat there and we don't even get paid for overtime which we are forced to work fast food in general is unexcusably not worth eating
Unpopular opinion: it's not that hard to not bust a cup y'all just be blending at full speed with no control lmao. It happens to me too now and then, but it's always because I tilted the cup wrong (any angle will bust the cup) or I pushed it too far up. Any "dirty" Sonic secrets always varies from location to location. If you guys did pull outs and flipped everything every night like you're supposed to and wiped everything done well with contender, you should have absolutely no mold.
The blasts are a pain in the ass and most of the time they pour it in a new cup or just put a big sticker over the hole. They also just dump the ice cream and clean it MAYBE once every few days and water it down. Also, never ever order green tea. No one ever does, so they brew a big pot of it and it sits out all day and then they put it in the fridge for weeks/months. I worked there for a whole summer and they brewed new green tea ONE time.
I worked for Mc D's down in Arizona at one time. They didn't clean their shake machines save for once a week. They even dumped returned drinks back into them. I brought the issue up to the head managers and he just told me, "That's just how it works". I know for fact those have to be cleaned every night, the one I worked at in WA had us cleaning them religiously for health safety reasons.
It’s dumb how the stupid industry works like that if it goes for all, that manager seemed so careless smh this is just wrong but fast food here and there is okay I’m just gonna avoid it at all costs especially if it’s “cheap”
As a former employee the ice cream is disgusting the buckets that hold the candy and filled with mold and rotted candy at the bottom and the actual ice cream machine is absolutely horrible no one ever cleans it
I’m a commercial hvac technician and I can assure you that every ice machine at any restaurant has mold in it unless you just so happen to go there after the machine has be cleaned. And that goes for any ice cream machines as well.
They don’t even say how bad the working environment is....my sonic was so toxic that I had to quit. Drama all the time. And they will talk trash on customers so much. 🤦♀️
-All the Sonic commercials were filmed at my Sonic in Duarte, California. -We had no A/C and were sweating working a small crowded building during Summer when it hits triple digits. - Blasts were a bitch to make because the cups would always break from the bottom. -Our Ice Cream Machine would not work and it would gush out the liquid ice cream giving us no hard ice cream for sundaes, cones, and blasts. -We would get paid minimum wage with no raises at all. Not even 10 cents.
This is true my location never cleans the machine and there’s mold in them sometimes we never pour the old ice cream out we just mix the new in with it
Does anyone really go to Sonic for “healthy food”? The last thing I think when I get a burger or shake from sonic is whether it’s healthy or not. Nice try lol
I work at Sonic and I believe it depends on where you work and with who. If you have a good manager, they will make their employees clean, throw out used cups, and use proper utensils rather than hands. Or even the employee will do their job right because they aren’t lazy and know how they would want their food served. And if you have someone in charge/working who doesn’t care about their job/customers is when things became unsanitary.
I have worked at Sonic and none of this has happened at my location. It depends on location. Now go back and listen to your "Remember to listen" shit. 😂
@@rachelraer1170 I know how you kids work at 17 and still in school. You all stand around on the clock and rarely clean. Whether you're a carhop, fountain, or cook. You're most likely a carhop and you most likely have never touched contender or a rag unless you're wiping a table. I've seen 16 years olds with a better work ethic.
LMAO THIS IS WHY I QUIT. My sonic never cleaned anything. If they dropped their frozen food on the floor they would just pick it back up and use it. There was rotten food on the walk in and also mold all over. The back of sonic also had rats and they never had the decency to call an exterminator or anything
Nah, most of this only applies to shitty af sonics. The only thing true in this video for every sonic is the cups busting, but if that happens, you restart completely so it’s not a big deal
I worked at Sonic for over 5 years. I've never had a problem with making a Blast. No broken cup, the machine was cleaned every four hours, and of course they're bad for you... It's ice cream, not frozen yogurt. And honestly, Sonic is the best job I ever had. It was easy, fun, and I never had a problem working there. I went from a Front Swamp Cook all the way to manager, and became one of the fastest on Ice Cream. Also, Sonic sends out Corporate Reps to inspect the stores frequently. And those Reps are always thorough with their inspections.
Worked there for a year when I was 16. Very dirty and gross food. The ice cream machine was rarely ever cleaned and when it was, it was black at the bottom. Ice machine had what looked like dirty ice. The cooks didn’t wear hairnets and had long shaggy hair. Also the customers... Jesus the customers.. i know it varies from place to place but they were awful. You definitely don’t get paid enough there.
I am a formal Sonic employee from Madisonville, TX and we have a cleaning schedule for our ice cream machines, and yes making those master blasts are a pain in the ass, but we have to remake them because that’s policy. Not every franchise is the same but that’s my franchise
As a present worker of sonic this is completely true. One time one of the slushee machines had ants crawling in it for weeks until I found out and cleaned it out I told my manager and she said “welp they already ate it now” fuckin disgusting. The tots and fries are cooked in old ass grease and the tea is never dumped to make a new one every 3 hours like it’s supposed to. The cups you drink out of have hit the floor and given to you because the manager says “ it’s not dirty “ the floor isn’t dirty? We walk outside and track filth inside and the cup you put your mouth that touches the floor isn’t dirty? I got in trouble for throwing the cups I dropped away but I don’t give a fuck. Oh and the hotdogs and other meats that hit the floor get blowed of by the cooks mouth and is given to you with the sauces you asked for. I’m quitting very soon because this is fuckin insane.
My sonic cleans pumps daily, ice machines monthly and ice cream machines weekly, we also constantly flip everything new in old out and the blast breaks for new people, snickers ,and frozen cookie dough
As a former sonic cook and manager, I can confirm this is all true lmao We almost never cleaned the machine, maybe once or a twice a week if it was a slow week. The ice cream was by far the worst thing to make, especially when they were half priced
I worked at sonic , i only ever experienced one cup burst and it busted while someone else was making it. When that happens, you’re supposed to throw it away and rinse the blade and then restart. We cleaned our machines every night. It was honestly extremely clean. We swept the parking lot, mopped and power washed, replaced candy/slush flavors, and much more every night. I always had the closing shift so I couldn’t leave till that stuff was done. It all depends on your location I guess!
That’s true about the milk but the ice cream is only in there for a couple hours - except when it sits during the night 😐 but it’s still chilled. Blasts are terrible bc the blenders are really too weak for them. As far as the desserts not being healthy - well it’s up to the customer to decide what size they want & if they share it. Our 44 oz cups are normally sold for ice, coke, or tea. Large cups are still pretty big and it blows my mind when people order them, but hey, maybe they had a bad day 🤷🏼♀️ Kitchen isn’t too bad. It’s crazy hot since it’s such a small area and there’s the grills and grease stations. Our onion rings are made fresh everyday too. I mean it truly depends -but objectively most important- tip your car hop, they aren’t paid much, it’s below minimum wage

I work at sonic. We have metal cuffs that we use to make blasts. We take pride in our work. We clean our ice cream machine every other day and no new milk base is put into old milk base.
Lol yeah this vid's inaccurate but imagine taking pride in a menial wage labor job, couldn't be me
I worked at Sonic for four years, and 90% of this is hype and lies.
Like the Tea urn nozzle wasn’t cleaned for at least a month and I found black mold in it :)))))
But a town away from me had maggots and mold under the ice cream bins. Honestly some Sonics are disgusting
Yes! The sonic I work for is very clean also & a great place to work!
Just be lucky you work at a good one. I’ve talked to several former employees from different Sonics and we all agree, they suck. I’ve meet one person from a different state who liked working at sonic.
Wow we clean ours every single day no days skipped
Bruh, I get they get PAID to say this bullcrap about Sonic. Except about the blasts, I actually do kind of believe employees hated making blasts.
Food inspectors take notes
This is dumb. Real ice cream is better than fake ice cream. The shakes at sonic tastes more like real ice cream than the shakes at other restaurants.
Nothing like buying your own gallon ice cream and adding all the damn topping you want on it.
Ya boi Juan 💯💯💯
And still saving money.
Little did they know this is pretty much every fast food restaurant.
Yea no shit
I miss the two funny dudes from the commercials.
Thank you for putting this video together. This was an amazing video to watch front to back. You have a great voice for UA-cam and I hope you continue to make videos in the future. Good luck sir.
i worked at sonic for about two years and all of this is correct. glad someone spoke up
While this is true not all Sonics are the same
this is literally just bad employees
I have been at the same Sonic in Pueblo West, CO for just about two years. My poor friend and I clean the machine every Friday with the GM. We keep our story very clean. I am by myself for most oof half price shakes during the summer and I can tell you that anyone that actually knows how to make ice-cream the right way, hardly ever breaks cups. If I do break one, I throw it away and start all over. I keep my station very clean and make sure no peanut candies are mixed with other ones so no one is affected if they have allergies. This video must target only a few locations because My store is in tip-top shape.
People really shouldn’t be ordering anything from Sonic that’s not a drink.
I used to work at Sonic in 2013-2014, and I can say that the cream that came off the trucks for the shakes smelled rancid straight from the truck and I always wondered why. Blasts are easy to make, just put in half a cup of ice cream then whatever topping then ice cream on top and then blend it.
Do you remember the name of those morning energy drinks? I want to see if they can still make it, but I cannot remember the names or ingredients.
@@delananicholson3444 Are you referring to the Java Chillers? The coffee and ice cream blend.
There are three types of commentors in this comment section:
1) People who have never worked at a Sonic
2) People who have never worked at a well run Sonic
3) People who have never worked at a poorly run Sonic
Also I used to get double cups frequently at this one Sonic. I'm pretty sure I separated them a few times and saw that both were fine, but now I'm concerned since both type 2 and 3 have confirmed that cup busting is a thing.
I work at Sonic and this ISN'T TRUE
I think the lady misses the point. Who has ever said, "I think I want something healthy, hey there's a Sonic!". Its a guilty pleasure. We don't all have to be super serious 24/7.
The 10% real ice cream means that the soft serve mix is 10% dairy/milk fat. I order soft serve mix in bulk for my home ice cream shop. It comes in 2.5 gallon bags and is pasteurized,
My local Sonic has 2.7 star review out of 137 reviews lol. Can't imagine what is like inside their kitchen area 🤢🤮
WooferJr leave the hate train at the station please!!!
Jh D theyre not even hating 🙂
Efvh exe
We actually don’t have to clean the ice cream machine that much and it actually depends on what location you go to so I can’t vouch for the crappy locations but actually our ice cream mix is 100% real ice cream mix and yes we pour them into plastic tubs that feed it into the machine that freezes it out gets cleaned out weekly we can tell instantly when it’s bad because it stinks
Sonic for sure. Its 10% butterfat, real creamy.
At the sonic where I used to work they never cleaned the ice cream machine and if you ordered a blast and you where allergic to peanut butter there could be peanut residue left on the blender because it is never cleaned.
Way to show up to work for a check and not do your job.
Stephen Leslie the managers never told us to clean the machines they only told us to add more cream to it and they never showed us how to properly clean it. If I am not shown how to do something then how can I clean it.
@@noahc1884 do it yourself, work overtime if you have to. Eventually you'll replace that useless manager.
dubrob210 I’m sorry but I am already moved beyond Sonic I found a job that pays 10.25 a hour that is DOUBLE what I got at sonic and it is the same wage managers get at sonic. I never planned to have a career at Sonic it was a first job and that’s it they treated me like shit and so I left.
that makes me not want to go to sonic again
This must be fake
The ice cream people who sonic don't buy from made this video
This is why I don’t eat out.
"Ex Workers Reveal What You Should Never Order At Sonic". Any food they cooked. There is a reason they are ex-workers. ;)
i work at sonic and this is all very false. this makes me furious
i work at sonic but i dont do anything with the shakes and slushies, im a cook. we keep our burgers sitting on the grill for a long ass time and it usually doesn't tastes as good as if you order it fresh so always order the burgers fresh. we also keep the stuff like the chedder peppers and mozz sticks sitting around. the cheese is usually not gooey by then so order those stuff fresh too.
Why would you do that?
@@jimblack5611 idk that's what they tell us to do. Pretty sure it's something to do with not wasting food
Well I haven’t died yet so 🤷♀️ 🤷♂️
Unpopular opinion: it's not that hard to not bust a cup y'all just be blending at full speed with no control lmao.
Some of this shit is so true lol exactly why I quit 😂😂
The blasts are a pain in the ass and most of the time they pour it in a new cup or just put a big sticker over the hole. They also just dump the ice cream and clean it MAYBE once every few days and water it down.
Also, never ever order green tea. No one ever does, so they brew a big pot of it and it sits out all day and then they put it in the fridge for weeks/months. I worked there for a whole summer and they brewed new green tea ONE time.
I used to work there and they NEVER CLEAN THE TUBES 😭😭😭
Missgrace97 I work at sonic now we clean them
Why didn't you clean them then
Missgrace97 I’ll clean your tubes. 😉
We did when I worked there
Winter Bleu bananas go bad quickly. Shit happens dude. The sonic I worked at was clean af but we’d have bad bananas every once in a while
never order onion rings at sonic because if the waiter takes damage he loses all his rings
No the ice cream thing is not a thing
This is 100% true I've worked for this company 10+ years. My ex store is located in Grapevine, TX on hall-johnson Rd.
I'm still gonna eat it though
Retroman 1234 no one cares
Example of "you are what you eat" pure slop. Enjoy
Me, from a country with no Sonic: wait, SEGA just made a restaurant chain?
Ikr
So this is where Sonic gets his chilli dogs
I never knew sonic had his own restaurant!!!
Mashed is trying to be that guy who shows the kids how chicken nuggets are made and I’m the kids still willing to eat it
You mean a fast food place has unhealthy food? CALL THE PRESSES
What ice cream and candy aren't healthy? mind blown lol
As a former employee the ice cream is disgusting the buckets that hold the candy and filled with mold and rotted candy at the bottom and the actual ice cream machine is absolutely horrible no one ever cleans it
Who else watched this video after they ate sonic??😬😮
No just me ok........
I’m a commercial hvac technician and I can assure you that every ice machine at any restaurant has mold in it unless you just so happen to go there after the machine has be cleaned. And that goes for any ice cream machines as well.
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!!
IT WAS SAID YOU'D DESTROY BAD REASTRUANTS NOT JOIN THEM!!!
BRING FLAVOR TO DESSERTS NOT LEAVE THEM IN DARKNESS....

I work at sonic now! Not every sonic is like this video we sanitize everything and double cup our blast so the cup doesn’t break!
They don’t even say how bad the working environment is....my sonic was so toxic that I had to quit. Drama all the time. And they will talk trash on customers so much. 🤦♀️
So,,,, just don't go to Sonic. That's easy.
it's expensive
-All the Sonic commercials were filmed at my Sonic in Duarte, California.
-We had no A/C and were sweating working a small crowded building during Summer when it hits triple digits.
- Blasts were a bitch to make because the cups would always break from the bottom.
-Our Ice Cream Machine would not work and it would gush out the liquid ice cream giving us no hard ice cream for sundaes, cones, and blasts.
-We would get paid minimum wage with no raises at all. Not even 10 cents.
*GET YOUR ICE CREAM FROM COLD STONE CREAMERY* (better choice, cleaner environment, fresher products) *Words from a former employee*

@@theroadtocosplayandcomicco5840 lmao tbh...
I was waiting for a lie but Everything was true asf 😂
KJ Frr 😂😂💯
I have worked at Sonic and none of this has happened at my location. It depends on location. Now go back and listen to your "Remember to listen" shit. 😂
ScottieNO PiMpin Lmao no wonder you got an IPad 😂💯
What is really killing the restaurant industry: UA-cam's info channels. P.S., Sonic's burgers are disgusting.
Lmao I work at sonic and all this is true.
RACHELRAE GAMEZ same and literally everything they said in there then store I work at does lmfao nasty affff but i still eat it if I make it
Then quit and get a real job instead of standing around all day
B Ward lmao I’m still in high school. And I don’t stand around all day if I’m working at 17 and school full time.
josh king right. I’m surprised our store hasn’t been shut down.
I always had a feeling, I never knew why people liked sonic ice cream so much, I always thought it did not taste like ice cream anyway...now I know
Nah, most of this only applies to shitty af sonics.
I'm lactose intolerant so I don't have to worry about the ice cream
America...is not fast food unless its a drive thru
I mean... I may die from eating the ice cream but atleast it looks god damn delicious
i have ordered there and they gave me LESS THAN HALF of the fries..
This fast food restaurant is Sonic the Hedgehog's favourite XD.
Not funny didn't laugh dry ass jokes leave
Didn’t funny
Worked there for a year when I was 16. Very dirty and gross food. The ice cream machine was rarely ever cleaned and when it was, it was black at the bottom. Ice machine had what looked like dirty ice. The cooks didn’t wear hairnets and had long shaggy hair. Also the customers... Jesus the customers.. i know it varies from place to place but they were awful. You definitely don’t get paid enough there.
Im on my way to sonic now anyone want anything?
Sonny Demetro ice cream
"Stick to the burgers and fries"...
Oh, Honey... It's not just the ice cream you should worry about
Sonic is just a gimmick and the place sucks!
Not really.
It's just outdated.
Bobbie Ebert right that's what I said 💯
I am a formal Sonic employee from Madisonville, TX and we have a cleaning schedule for our ice cream machines, and yes making those master blasts are a pain in the ass, but we have to remake them because that’s policy. Not every franchise is the same but that’s my franchise
Sonic is simply not good
@Hideika and tater tots
Nico Corbo they should of name it dr eggman
Only spot I can get a Green apple Sprite to go with my crushed xanax
*sonic was never good*
As a present worker of sonic this is completely true.
Happy new years 👏👏
HAPPY NEW YEAR!💥✨🎆🎇🎉🎊😀😄😸🎉🎇😄💥😸🎆😀
happy new years
My sonic cleans pumps daily, ice machines monthly and ice cream machines weekly, we also constantly flip everything new in old out and the blast breaks for new people, snickers ,and frozen cookie dough
As a former sonic cook and manager, I can confirm this is all true lmao
We almost never cleaned the machine, maybe once or a twice a week if it was a slow week.
The ice cream was by far the worst thing to make, especially when they were half priced
Thank God you no longer work there. Hopefully you will never work in the hospitality/food line again. Poor work ethic, poor morals. Shame on you! 😦
It all depends on your location I guess!
just gross, back to McDonald's where they'll spit on your burger.
Large cups are still pretty big and it blows my mind when people order them, but hey, maybe they had a bad day 🤷🏼♀️
Kitchen isn’t too bad. It’s crazy hot since it’s such a small area and there’s the grills and grease stations. Our onion rings are made fresh everyday too.
I mean it truly depends
-but objectively most important- tip your car hop, they aren’t paid much, it’s below minimum wage
