I do peel the backs off to stick but I find old packages of labels at thrift stores and estate sales so their "stick" isn't as sticky, so I add a bit of glue.

So you are not peeling the back off and sticking? If that is the case then maybe just a heavier weighted paper to use instead of address labels??
