I remember when Mecca first came out in the 90s. I was at a store on Broadway in Manhattan and the guy who worked there was unpacking boxes to put on the rack. He hands me a Mecca t shirt and says get this it’s gonna be the new hot brand.

Very educational and inspiring! I like learning the history from ground zero and the risks he took, always thinking ahead. I am sure it helped extremely to have a family member as a partner and best friend who got your back and didn't turn or sell out on him. It's soo hard to trust people nowadays!

Back in 2001 rap tshirts weren't really that vintage yet. If you think about it a 1990 or 1995 rap t found in 2001 wouldn't even be that old. I'm curious exactly what was 20 yrs old back in 2001 or 05 as for vintage rap ts , sneakers, street, skate wear and snap backs.
