My dads tundra had the same cover. We installed it back in 2014 and he sold his truck 2 years ago. We loved that cover and had zero issues with it. His cover back then had the velcro straps but I'm loving this new clip design. looks like a way better system. I picked up a 2021 tundra the other day. So I'm definitely getting this cover for mine. Love the price and everything about it. Love the truck and how it looks on it.
jason, awesome! Glad to hear it was a good cover and lasted, that should definitely help some others make the decision here in the comments. How do you like your 2021 so far? I wish my 2016 had some of upgrades the newer ones have.
@@PottersWork im loving it so far. The infotainment is wonderful and the newer led headlights and foglights are worlds brighter than the halogen ones. Not a fan of push button start but the keyless entry is wonderful to have. Overall its still very much the same truck. All the added safety like lane departure and traffic alert are nice added bonuses as well
jason kallu, I would love to have the CarPlay option in my truck, and the LED headlights would be welcome as well. I would be happy with just those 2 things.
I like mine but I have the Velcro straps which get stuck down between the bed and cab. That's a real pain to get them out. Thinking of putting clips onto the straps.
So yours came from the factory with velcro? I like that mine did not, I really didn't like the velcro on a previous cover I had...seemed to wrinkle up over time too.
I followed your instructions but it seems that the velcro has more slack on one side than the other on the sides of the truck. I tried to pull but it barely moves and there is a large crease in the middle of the cover which has the slack
If it’s side to side, is it possible the cover is not centered in the front bulkhead track? I show that at 5:15 in the video, mine had to be adjusted a little.
@@akashpatel2009, it should have some decent resistance at the back when you lock it down…make sure you haven’t stuck the Velcro down yet before you snap it down. That will make it a lot harder since that snapping/locking motion pulls the cover tight.
Scott, 275/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires (33” basically) and just a 2” leveling kit. I do have 1.5” Spidertrax wheel spacers also behind my stock wheels. Thanks for watching and hope it was helpful!
Chan, no noise, seems to handle just fine. It does seem to get a little air under it sometimes if it’s windy. I do get a little water in around the tailgate, but I’d say it keeps my stuff 98% dry.
I just got one today. Opened it up and there’s no bulkhead seal to put at the front of the bed. There is a seal already on the metal piece that would go against the bulkhead. I wonder if it now comes pre installed stuck to the cover frame. Or if mine is missing it too
If this was helpful, liking the video helps me out a lot! Thanks for watching!

When you say it has slack, do you mean from side to side or from front to back?

Side to side. Also is it normal for it to be hard to snap at the back always? I guess I need to move the right side more in so the Velcro reaches

What suspension set up and tire size do you have for your Tundra
Thanks for a great video

So how do you adjust the self adjuster clips on the back , one of mine is to tight ?
Dennis, that’s a good question, I would have to take a peek at mine…I didn’t have to adjust mine so I’m not sure.
How's this handle on highway driving? Any noises and leaks?

Great video! Does the weather strip go all around or just tbt back near window? Thanks
Hello! The weatherstrip just goes along the back window. Hope that helps!
You had to buy the weather stripping separately, correct? My kit didn’t come with one and I’m going to have to run to the depot.
Carlos, actually mine did come with the weather stripping...I wonder why yours did not? It’s just the 1/2” thick foam with adhesive back

My Clips don't look like that and I can't make them Titan in a secure enough manner
Cindi, which clips? The ones that hold the rails down?
Great video. Thank you.
Davey, thank you! Hopefully it was helpful!
@@PottersWork Your welcome. Just ordered me the same cover for my Tundra. I’ll be watching you again.
@@dancindavey1515, my cover is still going strong! Not one issue so far. Hope you have the same experience
Thank you for the how to video. I guess i'd better turn off my tablet and go install mine. Thank you again
You're welcome! Hopefully it made it a little easier seeing the video. Did it go on smooth?
@PottersWork Yes it did. It took my daughter and I around 45 minutes to get it done. Thank you again
@@brandonlarson9251, awesome! And you got some bonding time with your daughter as well
@@PottersWork Yes sir
Great video, getting some butter bar vibes though lol
