9:37 i love how the woman ignore the guy setting fire to the board after glancing at him and the fire and goes back to talking with her friend like she didn't just witness arson.. 😂
Reverend Jorgensen (Meat Loaf): "She wasn't supposed to *drink* it! She was supposed to rub it on her neck! That wasn't voodoo; that was voo-*don't*!" Hahaha, Voodoo is one of my fav episodes, I didn't realize Meat Loaf was the Rev - wow! His performance was hilarious and so memorable. RIP!

Rip Meat Loaf. Great singer songwriter, great musician, great actor, and great person. I can’t say I have seen a cameo of him in a movie that I didn’t enjoy.
@@GathKingLeppbertI Cameo, a small part in a play or movie, played by a distinguished actor or celebrity. I think this would be a justifiable use of the word.
@@vladtepes97 I don’t know if this is supposed to be a joke or what it’s hard to understand through text, but also a great roll. That one I think is more than just a cameo.
I know he did it all for Trudy, but Monk fulfilling Rickover’s final request in life is kinda intriguing. Also spoilers for the movie so don’t scroll any further if you haven’t seen it. Maybe that’s why Molly was so indifferent when her fiancée was killed. Her father is a corrupt murder…Okay I’m joking, but GOD the movie was so good besides her character’s emotions. You’d think this woman would be distraught and overwhelmed. Especially since the man she loved died the way he did. I get it. This is Monk’s movie. He’s dealing with his own mental health issues. And let me clarify, I really really enjoyed the movie. No real gripe about anything else besides the simplicity of the solve. However, i personally believe they could’ve went a step further with Molly’s character. Given her more of a role besides barely grieving fiancée. And I get this probably would’ve gotten cut and not been added to final production, but and hear me out… What if Molly was so incredibly enraged by the idea that her fiancée was killed that (only for a few minutes in the movie) considers murdering him to avenge the love of her life. This has multiple layers, since: 1. Her father being a cold blooded murder, it’s literally in her blood. Maybe Monk has to remind her of that and that she should choose to live more like her mother 2. Monk literally spent an entire series looking to avenge Trudy’s death. He could share with Molly his difficulties throughout the years. I just think Molly was an underused treasure chest. She’s the bridge (not on hydraulics lol ❤️Randy) between the series in 2002 and the movie in 2023. Okay my rant and edits are finished. If you got this far, I love you and wish you the best❤️
I don't know; I feel like Molly acted exactly like every single loved one of a victim acted on this show. Practically every episode where we see a significant other or family member (and they didn't do it), they're upset and hurt, but in the same way you are when your dog dies. Obvious exception to Monk himself. Is it realistic? No. But it's also not realistic for so many people to casually kill someone and get on with their day jobs with full emotional integrity in all other regards. That's just how this show (and every other 2000s murder mystery show) works. Also, this is a personal thing, but I definitely felt that Molly was used a LOT in the film. Arguably too much for someone who had no presence in the original series. She was well-acted with a good, simple arc, and she and Monk provided a two-way grounding point for each other that fit into the movie's primary theme. I don't think she needed to be changed, or go on a negative spiral. She’s given a ton of focus as-is. BTW, if you're a bit disappointed with the lack of character interactions between Monk and his daughter, I highly recommend the novels. Several of them focus on her.
I have to say: I find Rickover incredibly stupid, I mean, he would’ve gotten away with three murders (and probably Monk’s murder) if he didn’t bury the body in his *FREAKING YARD!!!*
Only way he could ensure it wasn’t found by renovation or construction. Not the ideal solution, particularly after he was promoted and had more resources, but it also gave him a private place to actually bury the body without being seen.
I's 2024 and I just found this extremely good, Love it TV series and I watch it over and over. Every episode is a winner. I remember when Tony was in "13 ghosts" and be was also a widower. He is just GREAT!
My guess is that she saw that the paramedic checks off that she was not the first responder there for covering her tracks. in other words, she pretty much written her medical obituary before anyone worthwhile seeing her.
The incorrect spelling of her name. Targer as opposed to Teeger. It was the same spelling on the package with her voodoo doll so she realized that the paramedic was “the guy” who has been sending voodoo dolls
The parachute "drowning" is one reason why water from the lungs and/or stomach of a victim is tested. With microscopic and chemical analysis, you can find where they entered the water, or if the water is from the tap.
The case about the dolls, reminds me of another famous detective with OCD. "How do you hide a tree? In a forest. Where do you hide a murder? Among other murders"
For the candidate crime, didn't the bodyguard tell anyone that someone just asked him to murder an intern? I feel like you should be telling literally anyone you can tell after you hear a favor like that.
It was probably all kept to vague wording and implication. It wouldn't be enough to go out with an accusation, at least before the intern showed up dead.
What makes me laugh is usually they choose some really attractive model guy or woman and make them need money and kill someone in some weird way to get it but i love it
The most impossible thing from this video was the guy accidentally catching the fish while going for the rock. Trying to get them on purpose is hard enough 😅
yea, that paramedic, not the brightest murderer....think they would have noticed signs of a fight even if she had won and killed Natalie, think they would have questioned the mess.
That first solution is hilariously awful. Monk knew he hired the hit because he pointed at the gunman? And he says this wasn't possible because balloons were in the way? That's his big "gotcha"? Not only is this terrible reasoning, but if the balloons were in the way, then how did the gunman hit his target in the first place? The writers really dropped the bomb on that one.
He got him in the end cause he panicked also, didn't really help himself. Also that was the pilot episode so they were still finding their footing with the writing
The balloons were in the way of where he was standing. They weren't in the way of where the bodyguard was standing which was on the other side of the stage. However the part that never made sense to me is why point to the correct place where the shooter was to begin with. If he gets caught he's gonna tell who hired him.
She did a little after monk but went to college and left acting. Last I heard she got a job working for tiktok. The actual company not as a content creator

Mr. Monk for president. All the dark secrets would be solved.

The nation's wealth would go to the sanitation department.

Use the same DA that prosecuted Columbo’s cases

Love Monk, but there are quite a lot of episodes where the crimes and/or how they are solved don’t make sense. Anyway a lot of fun.
