  • The Colorado Supreme Court created a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP) program to allow qualified paralegals to provide legal services in family law matters. Becoming an LLP requires passing a character and fitness check, taking an ethics course, and passing an exam. This license allows LLPs to manage their own family law cases for clients, unlike paralegals who typically assist attorneys. The goal is to increase access to legal representation in family court.
