The battlefront 2 fiasco showed me how little some of these content creators actually care about Star Wars. For months they put out videos dunking on it for the MTX loot crate system (even though MTX were entirely removed from the game before launch), and then they all pretended to be sad when it was ultimately abandoned by DICE.
Crazy how almost all Star Wars content creators are actively running people AWAY from classic Star Wars content with all these thumbnails
But it's not just Star Wars, UA-camrs for every fan base are constantly looking for things to get people upset over, they don't want people to simply have fun.

The only thing I do hope Aspyr does implement is working anti-cheat software. That way, if crossplay is patched in at a later date; no-one's fun is ruined by malicious people wanting to give themselves an unfair advantage.

I’ve never played the original battlefronts but I have preordered it for £26 in the UK. I just wished there was a battlefront 3. Realistically it’ll never happen though. Hopefully the classic lives up to the hype created

They announced a few days ago that they are not using the mod and are using the Xbox dlc files. The trailer was captured in the fall with Kit and Asajj's characters updated since then to the official dlc. I'd also like to point out that the person who made the mod, per their videos on UA-cam, was actually EXCITED to see their work in the game officially with people getting mad on their behalf. This is so click bait-y. Why is it whenever we get something new out that gets people excited, it has to immediately be shut down by people with these crappy videos to sow discord instead of letting people just be happy with a new game?
Exactly! This is happening everywhere with everything, people LOOK for things to be upset about and others follow suit because they want to “fit in”. There’s also a board game making a comeback this year that I’ve been excited about and people are nitpicking even that!

Aspyr put out a statement to IGN addressing this already and that the mod looking stuff was placeholder in part of the trailer as old content, which has now been replaced.
The thing that scares me are the old bugs/glitches.. I watched another video that mentioned there is a way to glitch yourself into the wall and shoot through the walls while nobody can get to you , this is going to ruin the multiplayer online if it is still an issue

No, battlefront 2004 and 2005 galactic conquest aren’t similar enough to do that. The collection will be just that, a collection. Two battlefront games in one launcher, that’s it. It’s like halo MCC

Question I can't find the answer to online: Does online play allow you to lock onto targets? I'm playing now without aim assist to prepare for playing online with others but I feel locking onto targets will also not be an option. Thanks in advance

There generally wasn't "DLC" in the sense that we understand it today, you generally had to buy a separate "expansion pack" which often came on a separate disc, in another box, with new artwork, etc.

Classic battlefronts allows you to exit vehicles and they won’t explode. Ea battlefronts make vehicles explode when you exit them.
Classic battlefront allows multi-passenger vehicles. Ea battlefront does not.
Classic battlefront main mode is non-linear (can win by getting kills, capturing all command posts, or capturing most command posts). EA battlefront main mode is linear and has phases (can only win one way; by completing phases).
Classic battlefronts didn’t put most time into the heroes. EA battlefronts seemed to focus too much on the heroes.
Classic battlefront had meaningful classes that did different things for the team that wasn’t just killing (heal, repair, supply, anti-tank was one class). EA battlefront classes are only classes to kill people in different ways (there is no healer; only a guy that gives health buffs thst ruin ttk, no supply, no repair, no anti-tank class as all classes are that now, etc).
Classic battlefronts were about providing a sandbox for teamwork and freedom. EA battlefronts were about providing a linear gameplay for the individual that is carefully curated.

My favorite thing about Battle front 2 is when revenge of the sith game out on dvd and on the second disc had a demo of the game. It had a timer you could just pop the disc out and put it back in. Really cool!
On launch of this game. I can confirm. Both on ps4 and ps5. None of the multiplayer works. You can barely join a dedicated server and you cant find your friends games. Its broken, dont buy this for console if your intent is to have fun with your friends. You wont. I regret this purchase and im tired of being lied to by this company.

I have to wonder if they will still included the abillity for unlimited force choke XD cause that was a thing. For those that did not know if you played a villan with the force choke and saber throw abillity you could hold someone in a force choke then switch to lightsaber throw and the person would still be in the force choke,taking damage while your stamina bar(?) didnt go down at all.
I think the collection is worth the price with the loyalty discount especially, if the upscaling and antialiasing helps clean the game up to run efficiently and cleanly on modern hardware, and especially if there’s is a healthy online player base to round out the single and multiplayer experience. I’m really hoping cross play gets opened up though

the real question is why will the re-release have such a large game size for just the 2 old games, updated textures and original dlc, where is all that extra game size coming from?
Uncompressed and unoptimized lazy AI upscaled textures. They definitely don't look "x10 times the filesize" worth of quality to me either. Modern game devs just have no care for optimizing anything anymore.
I think I played battlefront 2 on the PSP. Or course the joystick was damaged, so I couldn't play it very well and it kinda hurt my thumb since it was the pad part that was missing, but it was still pretty fun all things considered.
Maybe I'll have to check it out.

Question: I saw a Battlefront UA-camr play the old version if this game. In the gameplay he shown, he said you had limited ammo capacity. Is this true and is this still the case in the Remastered version? I personally don't think it will be Last of Us gun play at least.
Whatever the originals had, this new version will have. The battlefront classic collection is just that, a collection of the classics. It’s two of the classics in one game launcher with content port over from different platforms like the Xbox dlc (the new maps and characters) and 64 player count from pc. Whatever questions you have that are different from the originals would’ve been addressed by now by the developers.

tbh i kinda respect that the DLC with kit fisto and asajj ventress on xbox live there are several DLCs from the lego starwars games that are exclusive to consoles i play with xbox series X and well for example the force awakens phantom limb level pack and droid character pack were exclusive to PS players and that was kinda unfair so i respect xbox users getting someone to even the ballence like their own exclusive glitches for speedruns etc

Question:
Will console players be able to customize how big battles can be? Like in PC you can bump up the team size way higher, or will we have the XL maps (just like in PC) but on console.
This is something I’ve been wondering, so far they only mentioned 64 player multiplayer, but I want to know if that number will also be applied to PVE or will we be able to go even higher than that (again console).
Second question:
How exactly are we going to launch the game? Will there be a menu to select the “version” we want to play, or anything like that?
Something that came to my mind, is how amazing would’ve been if in the DLC for Battlefront II the also added Bespin: Platforms, I love that map and it would be amazing to play it on Battlefront II; just think how of an amazing experience will be, to have that freedom to choose any map you want on any battlefront and just play, also hoping for the gunships to behave the same way they did in Battlefront (2004)

If you own BF2 on Xbox one, you have the DLC. Both DLC characters and Maps. With Hero Assault on a lot more maps.
Same goes with the original BF1 DLC

I'm just generally excited to play these games again, I had so much fun back in the day although I found the first Battlefront generally difficult to play at times but the sequel was easier it seemed... but it might just be me😅 I'm excited to play some good old Battlefront the way it was meant to be played!

@@That_One_Guy_fr I also found out how lightsaber blocking works in the game. There’s more to it if you want to learn that on your own, but the basics are if you look at the center of the map while blocking then you’ll block a lightsaber attack from any direction.

As someone who grew up with SWBF2015 and never had a chance to play these games. I've always wanted to go back and play them but never had a PS2 or Xbox 360. Got so excited when I heard they were being ported over

I enjoyed bf 2004 more. I just think it has better maps and has air vehicles on ground maps. I don’t really care about the heroes.

I’m going on a wait and see approach. Aspyr has already messed up previous star wars re-releases. Republic Commando ran bad on switch, they cancelled the dlc for kotor 2 that essentially finished the story up as it was originally rushed back than and this dlc was supposed to come out even back then but didn’t and with racer there were a few issues there too. And with the recent Tomb Raider trilogy they mostly got it right but it still had controversy like more content on epic game store and the modern controls not really being good or fitting the game at all luckily u can do old tank controls.

I have a pc so I already own bf1 and bf2 and have modded them to look amazing and great with new features. The ONLY reason I would get this game is to play with my console noob friends. They have basically cut crossplay for greed. They want you to buy the game twice.
