The demo for this game was basically my introduction to the 40k universe. Before this, I thought Warhammer was just a medieval fantasy world. Oh was I wrong… Praise be the God Emperor Edit: I am aware that there is the fantasy version of Warhammer (that was my first exposure to it). I just wasn’t aware of the 40k universe that existed alongside it.
I'm torn here. On the one hand I love the God-Emperor of Mankind and would gladly serve in his name to destroy the xenos scum But on the other hand I luv me boys, i luv me dakka, I luv me fightin' and most of I luvs me WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!
I can't wait for space marine 2. It's a shame Darktide was released in the state it was. They're 'updating' it but it's taking so long for them to do anything worth while.
I didn’t have much problems with darktide. Some of the penance is annoying and my game crashed maybe like 1/16th of a time. I just don’t have people to play with
This game is so much fun. I'm not the biggest fan of hack and slash games but I loved every minute of this. The combat felt powerful and heavy and the orcks are so loud and ridiculous it's amazing. Posed a fair challenge at times too. And that thunderhammer+jump pack bit was gold. This game holds up surprisingly well. Simple mechanics done right.

I’d say lore wise the video was fine, I nearly had a metal collapse when you called the fantastic and beautiful storm bolter a heavy bolter but I guess I understand the mistake. Good video (thumbs up emoji) Edit: Actually there is something I want to mention, and it has to do with the bit talking about the blood ravens. Every chapter of space marines has different culture and crap, so it’s not uncommon to see a chapter like the blood ravens or black templar screaming while rushing into battle while their ultramarine reinforcements talk about the codex astarties or some crap while they use actual strategy. Not something necessary to know for this kind of video, just thought I’d mention it

It is insane how well this game has held up, so much so people still play the online. Hopefully the second will be just as great, even though I won't lie, tyrannids aren't nearly as fun as orks.
I suspect they’ll have demons invade again, or maybe the orks just decide to show up, other factions probably wouldn’t play well with the games play style

There are only 2 video games from all of GW's shovelware that are worth anything. The 1990s version of Chaos Gate and Space Marine. Had high hopes for the sequel until I saw the developer and writing staff. Here is hoping it becomes the third GW video game worth your time.

And he apologized up front that he might get "giddy" because it was one of his favorite franchises. Like two minutes in he was happily cackling as he shaved through the Ork horde and was shouting out loud over the good time he was having. That's more than ten years ago at this point but I still remember that and think "Shit, dude, it's nice to hear him having so much fun." He's fightin' the good fight against Chaos now.
