Sharon: "'Wireless' is a song about a soldier who goes to war convinced that he is going for a good cause. He’s indoctrinated by government-controlled media and thinks he’s going to be welcomed back as a savior, only to find out he has been used. This has resulted in people seeing him as a brutal conqueror instead, and now he finds himself on the wrong side. His life and the lives of many are deceived and destroyed.

I got into them not long after Unforgiving was realeased. I listened to most of the stuff they had out at the time. However, I thought Hydra was pretty average but I've been blown away since Resist. 😁

Thanks For This Video!!! As a former Military guy, I seen the effects of war, and the careless use of "Heros" with "Halos" get thrown into the fray. The Leaders who make these decisions often have no care for the lives of the ones who die or sacrifice. Thanks again Within Temptation for representing the chaos of war in this video and showing that it's all nations. And were all in this chaos together young and old. Much Love and gratitude. Within Temptation is timeless. Discovered this band back in 2009 during my college years and have never stopped listening since then. This band has created a soundtrack to pretty much every major event in my life, and I am truly greatful for their talent. Blessings to all you and thank you for such great music.
Same here. The first time heard Angels was when it was used with clips from Final Fantasy VI’s added FMV cutscenes. Sadly, I believe that video has been deleted as I cannot find it anymore, but it was my introduction to WT who changed my views on how metal and classical music can be blended so beautifully.

They have been my favorite band since 2005, and Sharon den Adel is the greatest female front woman in metal today and has been for a very long time.
There is no one even close to them, they are like a fine red wine they just get better with age.
I remember when I first heard their music 14 years ago around the time I turned 18 & instantly became a fan (which never happens with me). They’re still my favorite to this day (especially after seeing them live twice so far).
Funnily enough I first heard them in a football (soccer) video on UA-cam around 2008, I researched who they were, and they've been my favourite band since.
How you can have the most immaculate sound is unreal. Youre one hell of a unit. Love you all.

Yes, musically it's fire. However the lyrics combined with the music video appears to be some kind of political message pertaining to Ukraine and NATO pushing at Russia by conspiring to put NATO nuclear missile silos right on the border with Russia pointed directly at Moscow. The real horrific sadness and ugliness of it all is coming from all NATO countries not understanding that it is the WEST who are the aggressors in this.
The press tricked all of you into supporting Ukraine by withholding this info from all of you and by lying to you, falsely accusing Russia of wanting to then invade Europe.
Today, no one even talks about Putin wanting to invade Europe because over a year later it's clear that was utterly false, just like the RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA lies about the 2016 to 2020 president of the United States.
Then there's the lie the West told it's populations to trick them into supporting Ukraine that Ukraine was a sovereign nation when it's a territory of Russia, who as agreements and treaties with Russia going all the way back to 1991 that they would never let NATO military into their country, nor join NATO.

If people want the killing to stop, then they need to stop supporting the aggressors in this war, Ukraine, NATO, the USA, Britain and Israel and start putting pressure on Zelensky to resign as president of Ukraine after surrendering to Putin.
If this war does not end, it will turn nuclear and you will no longer have the internet to watch this music video that is bitch slapping the wrong side of this war, while defending the aggressors.

@@UhYeahWhateverDude No, unfortunately I don't remember the exact day. I tend to remember the exact month, and with a little guesswork I'm fairly certain I've narrowed it down to a specific week. At that time here in Bulgaria there was mandatory military service for all young men, so in 2003 I served my country for an extension of 9 months. I'll spare you the details, but when I heard the Ice Queen song, I remember being excited about graduating from the training center and joining a combat unit. I know the exact date of this event, and from that I suppose I must have heard WT no more than a week earlier. I liked the song so much that I wrote down the name with the intention of checking the group online when I was sent to garrison. I've liked the band ever since and I'm happy that they managed to stay interesting for so many years.
