And she is mostly right about that. I say mostly because there are still bad things that can happen to you during your life or bad people you might meet during your life that can change you as a person even if you had good childhood and caring parents. Everything depends so much about the people around you and what kind of life you have experienced well beyond childhood and ofc if you have poor education and I mean that as poor elementary school level education that leaves you without the ability of critical thinking, then you might be more easily lead to believe in things that someone who wants to use you wants you to believe.
So yes she has the right idea but there are so many things that can throw a person into darkness and out of balance to do terrible things even after you have lived your childhood. So thats why everyone needs good people around them throughout the life

      @@amcname8789
Beginning in January, 1918 a certain Corporal Adolph Hitler served in WWI under a Jewish officer named Hugo Gutmann. That's right, a Jew. Gutmann was impressed with that Corporal and in turn, he certainly must not have objected to serving under Gutmann, because he volunteered for dangerous mission after dangerous mission. Gutmann recommended that Corporal to receive the Iron Cross for Bravery, which was unheard of for someone of that low rank. Hitler proudly wore that medal for the rest of his life. Sorry, but Hitler's complete hatred of Jews did NOT originate in his childhood. Something happened AFTER 1918 (after Gutmann) to cause that. You can scoff at that idea, if you so choose, but you are left with the fact that Corporal Hitler was quite content with serving under a Jewish commanding officer in WWI. He even wrote in Mein Kampf that 1914 thru 1918 were the "happiest years of his life". I believe that the 'something' that caused his intense hatred of Jews may have been the Spartacist Revolt (October 1918 thru January 1919). If true, it would also explain his obsession with invading the Soviet Union. In any event, his childhood experiences did not cause his hatred of Jews.
A final footnote: Hugo Gutmann was arrested by the SS in 1938. When they found out who he was, they released him and advised him to leave Germany, which he did. His life is another story.

What a lovely, lovely Lady. She spoke so well and dignified about this horrific event in her life. She spoke from a heart that was not filled with hate , even though she had every right to hold so much of it after what she had been forced to go through. Thank you Mam.

" All of us have the capacity to be sadistic and horrible to others but we managed to not do it, but the potential for destructiveness is in all of us. "
    chills down my spine...
That was common knowledge but she worded it so well. And, even after all that she went through and saw, her last sentence was an understanding on her part of how her oppressors turned out to be, was maybe not entirely their fault. Don't know if I could ever be like that, in her shoes so...hats off to her.👏

The defense condition she's referring to, where a person hears about something something so awful that they just flat out deny it is called cognitive dissonance.
I actually experienced this when I was first told about the Holocaust in detail as a kid.
