  • Today I wanted to share a bit of what changes we have going on in our Family. While this might be a change for us, not Fultiming as a family anymore, we are far from over RVing. In fact, I have so many ideas that I think having a place to build, test and work on more ideas and information to share is only going to help the DIY RVing. So if you love that kind of info get ready because I am already planning a bunch of ideas.

Thank you so much, our entire family is thankful for you being here. Just a heads up because I have so many ideas that I think having a place to build, test and work on more ideas and information to share is only going to help the DIY RVing. So if you love that kind of info get ready because I am already planning a bunch of ideas.

Many RV channels bought a home-base or already had one prior to utubing, and many of us non utubers have a home-base too lol. So it’s all good. 🍻

Jared-your channel has always been one of my favorites. Beautifully filmed and edited, loaded with information and ideas. I’m so glad you aren’t leaving You Tube. It will be awesome to see what you do with your house, learn from your tips, successes and boo-boos. All the best to you and your family in 2024 and beyond. If we don’t see you on the road we will see you next time. Blessings, joy and good health!

I've talked to a lot of full-timers that passed through this area. And every one of them has told me there comes a time when they realize it's time to establish a home base.
It is obvious this minor change was something you and Mrs. AARV's have been discussing for some time. A new year, a new direction; and, more practical vids that are also fun to watch. I'm looking forward to it.

Many younger UA-cam RVers are buying properties too, but they still travel part time in some sort of RV. Everyone has to figure out what works for them. Good luck, and thanks for sharing your experiences with the UA-cam community.

So many full timers have called it a day and gone back to sticks and bricks, some "creators" have been upfront about it and others have tried to keep it under wraps. Good job Jared, you have done very well and provided great information to newbies and experienced RVers alike. Family comes first, we look forward to the next installment of your lifetime.

Its been a journey you have not been alone on. So many people like me have lived vicariously through your adventures. We aren't perfect but we should always pursue perfection in the context of looking forward. When we look back we will see mistakes but what should hope for is growth!!! Your boys have grown so no on to the next great adventure. Maybe you can bring us along on that one too!

You have a great channel, Jared. I have learned a LOT over the years and hope to see more.
My one word of advice…don’t let the trolls bait you. It seems there is a vibe of “bad blood” going around the full-time community that is lashing out at content creators that “betrayed the dream” by buying property. Don’t worry about it, don’t address it, don’t even look at it. Keep doing what you have done and be positive, and disregard the small minority that isn’t happy unless everyone else is unhappy.
Best of luck! See you in the next video!

Oh Jared, you have touched my heart. We can totally relate to life changing and the sadness of not traveling as much with the kids. Our grandson who is 16 years old now has traveled and camped with us cross country. We were never full timers but often spent whole summers traveling. Yes, it is exciting to see what is next and OH THE MEMORIES ❤️❤️❤️. You’re such a good man, helping your family.

Excellent video. I think it is great the way you have taken on a new challenge. I’ve never been a full time RV’er but have RV’d for 40 years. My kids and now grandkids have enjoyed the years and memories traveling. I have no doubt you will continue to make those memories. Cheers and Happy Nee Year.

It’s just a matter of time before full timers find a place and settle down. Having a home base makes perfect sense but it does deviate from the standard narrative of how wonderful full time rving can be. We full timed for two years with no home base it definitely takes a special couple to deal with the logistics of living a very mobile life. We failed to make the most of our time on the road but are now living happily on our own land away from the city and still able to travel whenever possible.

It’s amazing how many full-time RVers are now purchasing sticks and bricks. Full-time RV is definitely a young man’s game It becomes very tiring long-term. At 66 years old, snow birding for 3 months down in Fla for the winter is about as much RV living as I want to do in a straight length of time.
Good luck on your new adventures into the new year….

Family obligations have a way of changing your plans, you got to do what best for you and your family. As for your boys, well, young birds have to fly! You raise them as best you can, try to give them wonderful memories, morals to build on, and some day you just stand there and watch them soar. Best of luck fixing up the house and hope you and your family have a wonderful new year.

Jarad - my wife and I are mirroring your evolution in that we are coming off the road from 2 years of Full time RV’ing and bought a house in late 2023. Bittersweet is as good a perspective as you can come up with. The disappointment of having to worry about “The house” when you’re 2,000 miles away from it and want to change plans and spend additional time where you are or deviate from your plans because you found something to experience you never would have found looms large.
All I can say is it’s been a privilege to have had the experience and only being able to go on a 4 month RV trip from our home in GA to our RV Lot(s) in NW Montana is still a privilege many will never have.
We briefly met at the 2022 Tampa show and I appreciated your genuine effort in “connecting with your audience”. The only thing in life that’s inevitable is change, a large part of inner happiness is a decision to be happy, these laments are certainly good problems to have.
Be safe and I look forward to your future videos.

Thank you for all the great videos and even though new ones may not be about RV'ing, they will still be entertaining and worth watching. I love your marbles analogy.
