People compare stardew valley and animal crossing way too much, having played both i have come to the conclusion that they are very different games... and i love them both. Edit: thanks for all the great replies :)
I totally agree with you! they have huge fundamental differences; most notably of course how you can play through many days in one sitting in stardew, put down the game for a week, then pick it up and still be right where you left off (which I actually prefer to AC with my current busy life)

I'm currently playing Stardew Valley for the first time, and yesterday I witnessed the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies for the first time as well. Needless to say, when that track started playing on this compilation, I immediately wanted to shed a tear or two. Such a special moment to witness. Now I have to see if there is any similar event in real life and make it a bucket list thing!
I used to be so deep into the game like a year ago but there have been so many updates that I'm a little nervous to get back into it or start over lol. It's like a whole new game now lol
My friend had gotten me into Stardew years ago, we had a world together, up to year 8! We were so in love with the game, because alike Minecraft all you do is grind and have fun times. Then we both became busy, very busy. Priorities on top of priorities. It was to the point where our every day chatting became once a week, then to simple text messages. We maintain that contact, closeness and familiarity but it just wasnt much the same to screaming in the skull cavern... burning down villages with flint & steal and TNT or slaying others kiDS over a war of beds, solving puzzles as Atlas and P-Body, yelling Connor's 28 stab wounds meme, admiring the chicken from I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator, voice acting the Danganronpa characters, losing friendship by golfing, yelling to pass a clean plate while the steak is Overcooked2, competitive Tricky Towers, trolling together in discord servers... etc. But this update. This update had brought back all those fine memories. Those "good ol' days". We booted up our aging world, saw our matching alien characters, my ex husband stuck in the wall, our decorated sheds, our farm. Our work and fun that was built into a world. Our 400 hours into that one world that we would repeat. We managed to relive the same feeling of surprise when discovering the updates without the Wiki. Just like the feeling I had when I discovered the family lore of the Wizard and Caroline. Dont stress about it, enjoy it as if you are playing with an old friend who has always had your back.
this is so nice. I just recently started getting into this game again because of animal crossing coming out. while playing it, i forgot just how hard the music hits bro. *engage nostalgia overwhelmingness*
I just found out that patch 1.5 just came out earlier today for consoles. Perfect time to play some local co op/split screen with that special person :)

I’m missing summer break and the days where I played 14 hours of this game right in a row. Thankfully, listening to this music while doing early morning studying is pretty great, too. :) Thanks for making this and bringing a little more joy and peace to my life.
