• Installing Tannus Armo...
You should ride through a thorny field with both and see if either get a flat.
They're good for that it's Thorny sidewalks that will get you
That’s what I was hoping for. I don’t think my decision of flat protection will ride on the softness added. I actually prefer a stiffness because I get a more efficient thrust out of my pedaling. Softening is like low tire pressure that makes you do extra work.
@@jesseschumacher4080This video was supposed to compare the two for puncture resistance. No such luck. I use Flat Out in the tubes of my 4” wide fat tires. 450 miles and no flats yet. This area I live in has thorns everywhere.
I did that with tannus and no flats hundreds of thorns and the taffy liners couldn't handle it
I learned from an old timer Just run tow straps inside wheel! Cheap and works
i also heard to run fire hose as liners.
I once used Tannus Armour and after a while both the front and rear Armour compressed permanently to about 1/8 of an inch in thickness. I got a flat from a small metal shaving in the front tire and it went right through the Tannus Armour. I tried riding with a front tire flat with the Tannus Armour and stopped because I was concerned about the rim becoming damaged. I no longer use Tannus Armour and use some tire liners with Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB Smart Guard. They are heavy tires and are advertised as being thick enough to not get flats from objects the size of a thumbtack. I road several thousand miles without any flats.
If your bike tires are as flat resistant as car tires, that is ideal. Objects like screws and nails that give car tires a flat will also give you bike tires a flat unless you have airless tires or airless tire liners.
Thanks for this comment. I remember hearing people having to deflate their tires after every ride. I’m all set on paying $160 for a pair of tannus armor and I’ll just get mr tuffy for half the price and get the same results.
@@Nickles4 You're welcome and happy trials.
@@johnb9005 So what do you advise for my 26 by 4 flat?
Interesting comparison - My personal experience riding in Southern California (Mecca for Goathead thorns) is that Tannus proves worthy. I have used several "liners" and none worked as needed. I've had the Tannus inserts w/tubes for about 6 months now and not 1 flat. I thought it would be interesting to count the thorns I picked up and pulled out, over 50 so far. I'm a believer in the Tannus solution.
No tire in the world for a Ebike or bicycles should ever go flat from a thorn. I am using 26x2 inch Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires on my road bike, years between flats at 10,000 miles a year. Now I need a 20x3 inch tire, but Schwalbe doesn't make one.
@@WildernessMusic_GentleSereneNo tyre in the world? Don't be so ridiculous..😂
@@thetruebrit85i think hes saying every tire should have thorn protection
Did your put the stock 4" tubes back in the Tannis liners or buy new smaller tubes? Please.
@@petejansen8098 I put the smaller tubes in and it fits perfectly. I used foot powder in the tires and on the tubes to make it easier to fit. I love them.
I've been rolling with mr. Tuffy's for over 15 years overall they work great and they're cheap I would recommend this to anybody who doesn't want to push there bike when they get a flat tire get them you'll be glad you did
Ultra light version? Never had a flat?
Have You tried "rhinoDillos" ?
Its a mr tuffy product too but with an improved formula apparently
@@Tobi-wr4co no I haven't

You said they're cheap ?I don't think so..
On my hub motor on back tire e bike, i fixed flats n put the mr tuffy liner on without taking back tire off, i use rachet strap to raise back end of bike up off ground strapped around a tree branch or beam of roof or whatever you can strap it to
People when you go riding on hub motor ebike carry a rachet strap also so you can fix a flat easier if you need to, works good when putting tire back on with tire up in air, also carry bottle of unexpired bottle of green slime or 2 bottles, this saved me a few times fixing flats, best to put green slime in before you go riding, carry extra valve stems, one time green slim messed up my valve stem n couldn't pump up tire- had to put new one in, also carry steal long valve stem remover tool- one time plastic valve stem remover tool on green slime bottle broke n wouldn't take valve stem out, also carry skinny needle noise plyers- one time valve stem got stuck n valve stem remover tool wouldn't remove it
Especially on a e bike people, if you got wide tires n a heavy ebike it is hard to roll back home with a flat if you are miles away
Good suggestions - sounds like the voice of experience!

One day I put in tannus armour inserts n only got one flat in 10 months, best thing to do unless you put motorcycle tires on
Watching You do all that work is crazy. I put the bike on My work stand, cracked one side of each tire front and back tires , inserted the Tuffy liners with one hand inside, reinstalled tire side and inflated !! NEVER took a tire off the bike or tire off the wheel. Yes tube changing is a different story.
Keep the videos rolling out brotha! I always enjoy hearing your honest reviews on anything e-bike related👍👍 you have my support from Nova Scotia, Canada.
Cheers,
Thanks Aaron! Will do! I have a bunch of videos in queue. 😁
Man you comparison videos are right on point every single time
Great video as usual and I love your clean workspace!
Not always that clean but yes I like it too
UPDATE. I knew I read it somewhere, so I got out my Tannus installation guide and on page 3 under Tips For Installing Tannus Armour it states (It is common for the Amour to compress over time. It still is providing shock absorption and puncture resistance but will perform better when properly maintained. To minimize compression deflate the tires while not use. This allows the Armour compound to rebound to provide ideal performance.) So does that mean when your not riding your bike, your suppose to let the air out of the tires? I'm sorry but that's not happening. I don't know how everyone else feels, but if I would have known that earlier, I would not have purchased the Armours.
Fucking hell Russell why do you copy paste this comment on all tannus videos? Worse part is you pretend its the first time, every time!
Wow that sucks.
I've now got TAnnus on my fat bike and they are excellent. I had MR Tuffy but found them a nightmare to install...they slipped about inside the tyre and when I eventually removed them it was clear that they had settled inside the tyre in a series of twisty curves meaning there were areas of tyre not protected...and yes I did puncture because of it...
I like that wooden work stand, that's pure genius.
Haha I wondered when someone would notice that 🙂
Thinking of building one myself, great idea CC
Wow, that wooden handlebar stand is blowing my mind! That's the video that youtube is begging for!
I just had a screw enter my back e-bike tire. It went through the tire and Mr. Tuffy liner, but the FlatOut sealant sealed the hole with very little air loss. Double your protection and double your fun. Their is nothing wrong with redundancy and it will keep you from walking your bike many miles, or save you time with an on-the-spot repair job. Who knows what type of weather conditions await you? I did not notice any different ride quality with both of the tire protector products. I love your videos on Rad Bike upgrades. Ready to pull the trigger on the Area 13, Bolton E-Bike, controller upgrade for my wife's Rad Mini ST.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been riding the Tannus foam inserts on my ebike for over 3 years during which I average over 5,000 miles per year with no flats while also enjoying a nice “cushy” ride. They’re simply the best way to go!
Heard some good some bad are the flat and worn? No flats, so do you still use the original innertubes the Tannurus came with? Any slower/worse handling? 15k is very 👍
I have about 4-5 years, around 5k of hard offroad ebike use. Still ride that ebike to this day and never had a flat/issues. I just ordered another set for my new ebike.
Wow, that would have popped the tire on a large-scale operation ore-mining vehicle.
If I do do liners, it's gonna be the Tannus for me. I want the protection, but I want that cush ride even more. Thanks, CC
It really is one of my favorite upgrades I like a cushy ride.
I installed Mr. Tuffy’s on my Rad Mini and it reduced the rolling resistance so much it felt like a completely different bike! It accelerates way better than before! A great investment, get the 26”x4” and wrap the extra within the tire casing...don’t cut it...quick sidebar...Locktite Non-Permanent fixed all of my rear wheel spoke problems..!
What spoke problem?
ditto, what spoke problem? spoke loosening & wheels becoming untrue?
Lol dude just learned about more psi = less resistance.
NAIL 💅 POLISH =The best thread locker
Thanks for the video .
I guess if Tuffy actually performs against punctures say riding on deer trails or pot holes etc .its worth the $$.
I pick my haven't got a flat on my Rad yet .and I have no liners . but I can't wait to get a hold of the Tannus liners .thanks to your reviews .👍😃
Thanks for giving you honest opinion. I just had ordered the Mr Tuffy and then found the Tannus liners. I wasn't sure if they'd be worth the extra coin for my Frey AM1000, but after seeing this, I am definitely ordering some. Keep up the info on E-bikes. After getting mine, I can see they are the future.
Frey bikes look awesome! Always wanted to test ride one.
Awesome!! I need the Tannus!! I've had atleast 4 flats luckily not far from home.
Great video I’m new to ebikes and and have a Rad rover 6 with tannus liners coming this year thanks for a great demo on liners new sub great job
I appreciate your thoughts on the tire liners, I've talked with others who bought Tannus and they pretty much said the same as you, but your the first that has done both, so I definitely appreciate your input. i personally bought the Mr Tuffies, but like you said, I didn't see any difference in the ride, while, friends that have bought Tannus Armour all said it's like riding on a cloud. I'm getting my Aventon Aventure in mid June, so I may buy Tannus Amour for my new E-bike. Thanks again, always enjoy your videos!
yep it really does change the ride quality quite a bit and i'm a fan :) quite expensive though
I just got my Aventure. I am debating on which liner to go with. How has your experience been over the past two months?
@@adammerritt4404 I've had both Mr Tuffies and Tannus and yes Tannus is more expensive, but they are worth it. I put them on my Aventon and the ride is so much better and they'll handle goat heads from the west and midwest, so they'll handle anything we have here in the east. I've had mine on my Aventure for over a year and have no flats, even after riding through an area where there was glass all over the road, looked like it was windshield glass.
My observation on the Mr Tuffy liners. Yes, they do reduce the goats head thorn punctures. If you get a tuff thorn and it breaks off and the pointy part stays in the tire after more riding the thorn WILL get thru the tube. Yes the rolling resistance is less, however the ride over gravel/sidewalk cracks is much rougher.
With Slime liners I've got numerous things embedded in the tire and even take small chunks out of tires, revealing the green lining without puncturing. Have had flats from thorns just missing the liner, though.
Bryan, you are something else! Wish you were living close to me and you could come over and organize my garage, yours is absolutely clean and neat! Thanks for the review of Mr. Tuffy's liners. I will not try them, rather I will try the Tannus Armour.
Just got an E-Bike and decide today to do some long-distance riding. Only 1.5 miles I get a flat in the rear, I can't find where anything punctured through the tire, but somehow the tube needed a patch. So here I am looking for something to prevent this from happening again.
Lol I just ordered tannus armour for the altra duo yesterday and now watching your vid had 2 rear flats like you say mite as well have a nice ride to ..
can you cut it like a duct tape by the time you tuck it inside the tire shield?
Just installed my tannus liner on my rear for my himiway. I popped it right at the beginning of winter, a little thorn did it in. But I haven't done the front yet, but was gonna just start with the rear. Giving her a charge now, and am excited to give it a feel. I saw a video that says you can just do it on one tire and it'll be fine. Have you rode with only 1 liner in?
If you use the tannus in your tire does it change the air tire pressure? Like say if you run 25 and you use the tannus would you put 20 because it is now less room because of the padding?
I do bikepacking and have used Mr. Tuffy over the past 2 years and not one flat. I’ve never tried any other type of flat guard but I’ve found something that works for me so I’ll stick with it.
ive used mr tuffy couple times now, no flats with it yet. a lot cheaper too.
I wonder how it would feel and give you confidence if you installed both at the same time. Did you also notice any major difference with the top speed and angular momentum?
i did not notice any top speed difference but really didn't specifically test that either. i would bet the foam liners might reduce speed a little, more rotating mass....
Like CitizenCycle mentions in his comment, Tannus Armour may have a little bit more rotating mass where we are a foam insert. The two are compatible together but that's emptying your wallet even more. We feel one or the other is sufficient. Obviously Tannus being our choice! Its good stuff. Like riding on the clouds. Cheers
I am one who was on the fence between the two. thanks for this
I use Mr Tuffy tire liners and slime tire sealant, they stop everything except nails and screws. I've learned to avoid construction areas because they spill nails all over the streets... 😠 I'm also familiar with the more comfortable ride when I was using Schwalbe Marathon tires which had a thick rubber compound. But that was on thin tires on a hybrid bike. With fat tires you get a similar effect so the ride isn't so harsh that I would favor the Tannus armor over what I use currently.
I ride a recumbent trike and have the tannus airless tires. But thinking of going back to Schwalbe Big Apple Plus tires 2.15" wide and put the Tannus Armour in....wonder what this does to the rolling resistance. Looking for a tire for riding on gravel and rail trails along with roads.
It's worth noting that Tannus doesn't claim their run-flat support on fat tires. It might work anyway, but Tannus does have that asterisk in there.
You sir are correct! *Does not apply to the follow sizes: 20x3.0-4.0, 20x4.1-4.8, and 26x4.0-4.8.
What is run flat support?
I have 2 Juiced Ripcurrent S for the last two years and had the Mr. Tuffy's in both and never had a flat. I switched to Tannus Armour and Maxxis Minion tires. IMO the Tannus inserts causes higher rolling resistance vs the Mr Tuffy's. I now have 2 months on the Tannus and for the first month the tire pressure kept dropping 2-3 psi every week. If you can do a battery range test Full to flat between the Tannus and Mr Tuffy on the same ebike and tires I would like to see those results.
So what do you prefer,? I just bought a rip current s also 🤠
@@jewboyjon75 I have converted all tires to tubeless.
That's what keeps me from getting them. I've heard mixed opinions on the resistance, but I don't see how it's not gonna be a little too squishy and slow for road use. Trails, I'll be on them all day. Absolutely. But for an ebike that spends more time on the road, I think I'd rather stick to double skin tubes. The amount a slightly too low tire slows you down, and drains the battery is substantial enough for me to skip them. Sucks because I like the idea and really want them, but I'll wait until I do up a straight trail ride. I really wish they would get on different composition/hardness options. And I mean it's not like they're super overpriced. But especially the fatties, are a little ridiculous for a little piece of molded foam. You don't really have much choice if you need them, and I wouldn't mind the price if I do end up needing them enough. But I've only got two flats in the past year, and both could have potentially gone right through the t.a. anyway. Big spike of glass, and then metal. Idk. Doubling an old tube or two has kept out the little dumb stuff, so.
Great video thanks. I just purchased a e cells hunting version bike, I was wondering is there a site that I can get performance aftermarket parts? I am just learning about these bikes I heard about torque arms for the frame.
Thank you.
I have to watch this again. I fell asleep last time. Lol. I was just looking at these Liners Today,on Amazon.
Great Video *CitizenCycle!* You're hired! 🤘
Thank you yet again...I will be getting a pair based on your review
Do you know if the himiway will work on those steady racks since they have fenders? I looked at the fender version but it doesn’t allow for the 4” tires?
I started with Mr. Tuffy's and after 1,200 miles through every kind of terrain I have yet to get a flat - - ->>>.
What about those thorns in the desert or whatever there called, did you ride in the desert where those are at?
When i ride in the forest in flagstaff Az i never got a flat, but on side of interstate from flagstaff to bellemont i got a flat one time
I added the tannus armour to my diy ebike, a 2019 Montague Paratrooper and a Bafang Mid Drive. It was hard getting the tube and tannus on the 1.95" tires I have on the bike. My next build, hoping to be my reward when the fed finally approves my disability I want a fat tire recumbent electric mountain bike! i tried a ride at the beach and it was a nogo. I am running 20lbs of pressure in the innertubes I do like the softer ride feel.
Thank you for your review, CC.
My pleasure!
Hello. I was looking at new liners. Same thing for me almost. About 20 miles on Aventon Aventure and have a flat back tire. Do the Tanis you refer to reduce mileage because the are squishy so it's harder on the motor???
I have been running liners since they first hit the market , ugh ,,, 22+ years ( gee now I 'm old ) . Those Tannus look interesting . In the 1970s bmx riders had solid polyurethane " Honeycomb tread" tires . Some loved them and some hated them .
Would you recommend adding that tire slime AND adding the tannus armour liner?
What do you recommend for the rad mini 2 step thru fat tire bike? I read some reviews that say the Tannus is not compatible? Love your videos!
Great video I have a Ariel Rider D-Class there tires are 24x4 what size. Should I get because I'm confused by the way measure tire si
This liner are expensive but ended up buying a 20x4 and 26x4 for my 2 big sur ebikes. Pain to install them. My question will be , do I leave them like that, or should I go tubeless? By the way a have the tannus the other ones can cause punture between the inner tube and the liner if the psi is low and ride it like that
I used the Mr. Tuffy liners on the current build.
50 miles, and my first Flat this morning. Need to pull the tire off this evening, and find out what the cause is.
There’s a trick to inserting liners - insert an aired up tube to hold the liner in place, and go around the rim about 30 degrees at a time, tucking in the liner a bit at a time, then checking that it’s centered before popping it on the rim…
Thanks for the review of the Mr Tuffy... I'm buying the Tannus!
Always a pleasure to whatch and look forward to.
Thanks Alan!
Nice guns, like your presentation, no "eeees and uhhs" and you are getting more knowledgeable all the time, keep up the good work!
Was getting crazy flats on the rear of my Ariel Rider X-Class which is a 20x4.0 size. Installed a Mr. Tuffy and have yet to get a flat in over 1,000 miles mostly off-road. My original rear tire had gotten somewhat large holes ripped in it and the tire liner started to become the tire lol. The tire never went flat, even with the liner showing through! I found the install to be not as easy as I thought. I wish the Mr. Tuffy could stick to the inside of the tire with some mild adhesive. It seemed like the liner might slide to one side or the other if you're not careful.
... Ive been using Mr. Tuffy on 26x4 and have 2 flats 6000 km from 3inch finishing nails .. they seem to be fairly thorn resistant... to hold the Tuffy in place i use bits of tuck tape/venture tape ..works well to hold it in place ..
What’s it like using both at the same time
Great video!!
As adamant as you are with liners I am with tubeless. 2 years of riding 3 different bikes and not one flat with Stan's sealant and no tubes. Plus it shaves weight off the wheelset
The question not asked or answered, what about both? When I do Mr. Tuffy, I use strips of black tape to hold the liner to the tube, and when it gets to a certain pressure, the tape releases but everything is in place.
Great information...going to get Tannus...when that "time" comes....with no rear suspension...every piece of cushioning helps for a big person....
Do you use the green slime stuff that goes in the innertube for extra protection
Can you use these for electric scooters to prevent flats?
have you noticed any speed or range loss with the tanus armor
Is it a good idea or not even recommended you use Tannus foam liner in cooperation with puncture resistant tubes for double protection ?
I have a 20” x 3” fat tire EBike , what size Tannus tire liner do I buy
Can I still use the 29in tube and put it in the 29in tannus armor ??
Was the Mr. Tuffy, sticky on one side? I don’t see how, some that looks like thick electrical tape, will stop a leak? Is it sled healing material?
Mr tuffy are not sticky; they just sit in there and stays put once the tube is inflated; the tire liner is actually a thick strip of re-enforced rubber & it wont stop a leak. however, the tannus, you can ride on them with NO air and still be OK. i switched from mr tuffy to tannus. worth the money.
How long do the Tannus last under suggested lower pressure? How long do Tannus last under full rated pressure? Tannus admits to their liners becoming compressed after time, what is that time? OR more specific: I will be trying Tannus liners in a 20x3 inch tire on a LectricXP3.0 bike of 65 pounds, my weight is 200lbs, Tire pressure will be 40psi, and road conditions will be all very good asphalt.
I just ordered the Tannus inserts after watching your informative. Question when I fill the tube with the Tannus inserts do I use the recommender psi in the tire or should I put less cause of the inserts. Thanks
I'm guessing you'll want go slightly lower, but that lower pressure might provide similar firmness and flex to the tire.
I have been running 12 to 15 psi in my 20x4 inch tires and the ride is fine with the Tannus liners. Handles much better than before.
@@ohwell2790 12-15 psi sounds right. That's what is nice about our Armour. You can run lower psi which gives better control, and comfort. Cheers
@@RideTannus I run the CST Roly Poly 26x4.8 @ 6# in the rear, and 4.5-5# in the front. Where I live there is a lot of soft, deep sand, and goat heads are terrible problem. Are these pressures going to work well with the inserts?
@@skooterbrah If you're riding in the sand a lot a good # to run would be 6-10 psi with our Armour Inserts. Anything below that we don't recommend really. You can play with the psi up or down to get it where you are most comfortable. Hope this helps!
Any updates on the tannus liners?
I have heard that they get flattened out over time. Has anyone experienced this?
The Armour will compress some after it’s installed depending on the pressure of the tire. The higher the psi the more condensed the Armour will become. If you wish to keep the Armour as thick as possible then maintain a lower psi. You may also deflate your tire if you’re not going to be riding for a longer period. This allows the Armour to rebound back to its original size.
Shortly after buying my Rad Rover I got a flat, got it fixed and a week and a half later got another flat and had another flat and had to walk 3 miles back, that was it for me, I ordered Mr Tuffy liners in it and put 8,000 miles on it, gave it to my brother in law and the tires are bald and still no flats, I swear by them for the price.

Daily riding tannus for little over a year. After a flat puncture in center of tire. I notice the 1/2” center foam compacts as thin as sidewalls. Thus the flat. Great when new. And Who’s gonna let their air out daily just so they last longer,
Same thing happened to me . causing 2 flats until I figured it out . I had to walk my bike back from a long distance the last flat .
I just saw a video where you can install them without removing the tires I’ve got some Tuffy liners coming I’m gonna try it.
Any ideas which model an old guy should ride? I know they are heavy but that should not be a problem and might make for a more stable ride.
I’m 73 years old and like the safety feature and extremely strong frame and good looks of my radrunner plus! I purchased it online a year ago. I chose this brand in that not being to test drive it , rad had a 14 day no questions asked refund policy, you pay return shipping unless a factory defect. Also must not have scratched or damaged the bike. It is rather heavy and I believe the mini stepthru rad over would have been a good alternative in that it is lighter, foldable, and $500 less. All of the safety features on my Radrunner plus at a cost of $1800 would have cost about $3000 with other brands. Whatever brand you buy get a step thru! You won’t regret it, at least with the strong frame of a Radrunner Plus!

Wondering if you are ever going to do a video on Liquid Flatout Product. A lot less expensive than Tannus and Mr Tuffy. Seem to do the same thing. Your thoughts. Hope you do.
Will them thing fit and goes with the ariel rider grizzly..?
I've had the tannus on my Radrunner since March this year. Only 1 flat and that's because some A-Hole shot at me with a Pellet gun. How do I know I was shot at? The Pellet was inside my Rim when I changed the Tube. 😡
Could you link ware u got tire pump
You should mention the weight factor. Which one weighs more, Tannus, or Mr Tuffy?
Tannus is excellent, but I suggest you use a good, durable inner tube. I had a rear flat though I had a Tannus installed. No puncture, but maybe the inner tube just failed.
I am looking at those same two liners for my new ebike, a fat 20 tire bike. I'm fat so I needed a fat tire one. Anyway, 5 years ago I built a 29" motorized bicycle. It came with cheapo tires on it. Riding the neighborhood I had 3 flats in the first couple months. Always the back tire. I put on some Continental bike tires, 29 X 2.25s, and Tuffy liners. No more flats. Flat tires ruin the whole concept of bicycling for older riders like me. I can't be walking the bike home several miles. The last time I hid it in some bushes, walked home, got the car and came back. Dollar for dollar, I think the Tuffys make more cents. An object longer than the foam is thick will flatten a foam lined tire.
The Tuffy liners are actually tough.
Liked your vid.. Try not to talk too much, talky videos get on my nerves.
I threw my old rusty bike behind a bush when the bus driver told me a bike is additional $25 fare, it was still there 5 days later upon return
Awesome & Thanks :)
Question do you have to use the battery on the E bike or can you just write it like a regular bike and choose when to use the battery
You don't need to turn the bike on You can ride it as a regular bike with no power
Nice work bro
the first thing I did when I unboxed my Himiway Cruiser, was install Tannus liners, and squirted some Flat Out slime into the tube... did that with my Radrover way back when I still had it
What do you think of the ride? Do you feel the difference? I really notice it.
I run both as well. So far both have not failed me.
Of topic. What tires do you recommend for 20x4 ebikes for off road? My original tires are already bald at 100 miles.
i guess it is quite off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream new movies online ?

@Kenneth Lian happy to help =)
Do you run both in the same tire? Ultimate puncture protection lol
What if you put in both? Does that make it immortal? I can imagine some sort of highlander style quickening taking place upon instalation. You know like complete with thunderbolts and maybe small localised earth tremors. I'm hoping you don't need to slay another bike's tires first in order to do so on ethical grounds. If so Ill just go with tannis. :)
Hey, you guys call me crazy but.... what about if I use the Mr Tuffy and the Tannus together????????
I had the same thought!
Free video idea, someone grab it
My bike has 20x4 tires and had three flats in two months (two nails and one screw). Put Mr. Tuffy liners on and no flats since. Odd thing is all flats have been on the back tire and am wondering if there is something about the back tire that makes it more prone to punctures than the front. Tannus sent me a notice that 20x4 is now available but am hesitating due to the price.
I have the 2020 rad mini . 20 x 3.3 tires . After three months and 3 flats . I put the Tuffy Liners in . No issues since . loving them .
Good to know I've been waiting for the 20x4 liners to come out. Maybe the back tire is more prone to puncture since there's more weight there with the rear motor..?
Very often you’ll get a flat on the rear tire because the front wheel will pick up a tack, nail, or goathead and throw it into the path of the rear tire.
Motorcycles also suffer far more flats on the rear than on the front. Conventional wisdom is that the front tire runs over an object and stands it up so the rear tire can get punctured by it.
Yeah I was wondering about that then I realised it must be because of the weight
I got a large staple in my rear but the liner deflected it.
That is awesome! That's the goal. Cheers
Can you put the liners with tannus?
