    Just got a pair of Tannus inserts for my Hemiway Cruiser. The hardest, knuckle bruising part was aligning the innertube valve into the rim 'after' inserting the Tannus liner. Thanks so much for taking the time to post this, how-to video. Makes it so much easier than doing it blindly.

    I used the same tire with the same tube and followed the instructions as provided. Took about an hour as I also put “ flat out” in tube as well. One point I highly recommend is to break the bead on both sides and to slightly inflate tube. The ride feels the same. Great video. Thank you.

    Throwing the Tannus Armor into the Cloths dryer for 5 minutes straitens it out back to normal il also making it much more playable. You should try it trust me, makes it so much easier.

      That is a new one for us. I like it! We've always recommended some sunlight or a hair dryer. I guess just make sure the boss is ok with it before ya do it lol. Thanks for sharing!

    The instructions that came with my tire levers state that they are not for installing a tire. They should only be used for removing a tire from a rim or removing ears from under a flat brim hat.

    • @traviseller3770
      @traviseller3770 2 роки тому

      Yeah those metal tire levers are a great way to mess your wheel up If you use a little body English hold your tire down into the drop Center you can generally do this with a small plastic tire liver or do it by hand is a decent video but there are a lot of mistakes they would give people trouble

    From my experience working with Tannus Armour liners, you need to run smaller tubes. If not you'll have a heck of a hard time putting everything back together.

    I followed along with what you did- I have a RAD Rover step thru 1 with 4" tires. When I removed the tire deflated and removed tube, this was the front tire. Then inserted the TA, it seemed big for the tire but finally got it in, then inserted a new tube that was sent with the TA, aligned valve pushed everything in place, then reset tire. Set on floor roll it around with a little weight, then began to inflate tire, stopping at 10#'s to roll and massage it, then finished inflating. After inflating to 15#'s I noticed valve stem was sitting at an angle, so deflated, repeated procedure from installing tube and reinflation, making sure valve stem was straight, once again valve stem was set at an angle, after full inflation. QUESTION: WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?

    • @ryanjspinks
      @ryanjspinks 3 роки тому +3

      Try inflating the tube on its own, valve stem may be crooked from the factory

      @@ryanjspinks Got it straightened out, when it inflated the tire twisted, this caused it to keep kicking the valve stem off to the side. So now I have developed a process by which I install and then inflate to avoid this in the future, I have the rear tire to do this weekend.

    I had a bike shop installed these on my Cyrusher 690 . I can't go up a hill anymore without killing myself peddling with assist on. Could the shop have done something to the motor? The Batterie is good. This could be just bad timing for the motor as well. I had Cyrusher check everything via video. The thought it was the controller so I replaced it. No change. Just looking for advice. Thanks

      Get a bag of zipties & use them to hold the tire tightly to the rim as you work your way around it. You shouldn't have many zip ties left when you're done lol
      Oh & a little dish soap on the tire on the area that has to go over the under the rim helps alot

    Only thing is, I've noticed tire pressure drops, is that normal or due to the material condensing under the weight of my bike? The tube is the correct size and is brand new so I'm not sure if I did something wrong
