    Some folks correctly pointed out I had locked the corners of the video, compromising the lens breathing comparison. You're right! Here's the proper focus breathing part. It doesn't change the results. ua-cam.com/video/q5g5KYOUU4o/v-deo.html
    As for why I patched the corners of the video: my teleprompter is not large enough to clear the full picture using this lens, so I shot a clean plate for the corners and used that to cover the vignetting introduced by the teleprompter. I took out the teleprompter for the focus breathing section, but in the edit I forgot to disable the mask. :)

    I wish that manufacturers like Tokina and Tamron would make anamorphic lenses for full frame, as well as the camera manufacturers such as Sony, Canon and Nikon. I can't see them doing it, but it is still a wish that they would enter this niche market.

    Lovely footage, Tito! I have been loving the super wide look of shooting open gate 6k on my S1 with the aivascope and a Contax zeiss 50mm. I think I could get pretty close to as wide as this vazen setup, I have an old 45mm I haven't tried it yet with, which would get it pretty close!

    • @AnamorphicOnABudget
      @AnamorphicOnABudget  3 роки тому

    There is focus breathing. You edited the edges so that it doesn't appear so. The price is already good for this lens. Why be dishonest? You are reviewing a Chinese lens, not trying to be a Chinese. I mean, I'm not sure this brand is Chinese. I suspect it is because usually Chinese brands avoid telling their story and specifying their place of origin and/or manufactoring on their website.

    • @AnamorphicOnABudget

      I already addressed a comment that pointed out the edges. I got distracted on my edit. Still, no need to be racist on the comments.

    • @SillyFaces2
      @SillyFaces2 3 роки тому +1

      @@AnamorphicOnABudget thanks for pointing that out. However, it is not racist to tell the Truth, that because their country is taken over by atheists, John 2:22 "Who rejects the Christ is a Liar" is going to be statistically and measurably true. So @bradar bradar actually told some truth. It is better not to punish him for saying something that is emprically (measurably, scientifically, sociologically, economically) true. The Tribe that made them atheist, by funding Mao in the 50s and Lenin in the 10-20s, are directly responsible for their culture massacring >200 million Christians. So the "trust" factor has vanished in their culture, which is why Trump was forced to launch a Protective Tarriffs Trade War against them, to counteract their atheist-dominated culture's dishonest business practices, which even exploits their own laborers (especially religious Chinese citizens, whom they actively persecute).
      So basically, it is unjust to call bradar "racist". I hope you're not a Liberal, because that's what they do typically. (I'm not saying Conservatives are good either. It's just that Liberals tend to be more atheistic, and thus will make many Freudian slips).
      That said, some years ago, thanks to your site, I got a German Rathenauer 2x anamorphic projector lens, which has the most Star Trek The Motion Picture (1979) blue flares EVER. It's not overly saturated blue like those awful Atlas's and Siriu. But it sucks because I have to always use 70mm (APS-C) or 100mm FF focal lengths to avoid barelling. Like you, I am done with adapter anamorphics. This Vazen 50mm (and 35mm soon?) might be just what I need! The anamorphic flare isn't so ugly like Atlas' and Siriu, and breathing is happily small. And ironically, it is produced by atheist China! Yay!
      Imagine the price in 200 million Christian lives that Mao exterminated, before this Lens came out! And he was funded by Tribe. Look up 'The Plot Against The Church' written Anon by our Cold War Era Cardinals. Some of them got liquidated for publishing that. So whenever u call a guy "racist" for merely telling the Truth about their tragic atheism / dishonesty culture, 200 million Souls cry out to Heaven for Justice, because that only covers up their crimes. Their own citizens want Freedom from atheist Oppression there. So the best thing for all of us to do, is like bradar does--expose their dishonest business practices, which are caused by their leaders' collective atheism. Hole them accountable, and help rescue their own Citizens from the slave labor exploitation culture they run. That's why these lenses BTW, are so cheap. But we in the West, being mostly ignorant of all this, don't care. Now THAT's an Epic Film story just waiting to be told! Anyone here have the courage to do that?

    • @SillyFaces2
      @SillyFaces2 3 роки тому +1

      You're completely right about their dishonest business practices. That's why Trump had to raise Protective Tariff's against them. They owe damages for 70+ yrs of economic cheating-us. But even their own Citizens live in fear of their atheist Leaders. So it would be nice to somehow help their Citizens break free, while demanding more honest business practices from their leaders manipulating the world currencies.
