Sir does Scraping or debridment cause opening of nutrient canal’s and further spread of infection to underlying tissues. Is that true sir. Little confusion happening
a pom pom is a piece of cotton wool enclosed within an outer layer of gauze ..the free edges of which are secured with a ligature like suture material ...these are used for dressing of intraoral cavities ....like dry socket or during marsupilaization of cystic cavity...they can be impregnated with a antibacterial paste such whitehead's varnish or bismuth iodoform to avoid infection

Scraping may bring out dead fractured bone or other particals to facilitate healing or which may causing delayed healing !!!

not necessary in every case ...if needed you can do it after 2-3 days

for clot disintegration it will take 2 - 3 days...after clot disintegration, bare bone and nerve endings get exposed which will cause pain.
