- just beefing this thing up before I go use it. its not going to change anything other than protect the sides from getting smashed from the loader. all of the used spreaders I have looked at where smashed to all hell from the loader smacking them so I am preventing that while adding a little capacity.

It's really cool to see Tim playing with his little Brother!
Looks like Tim and William are pretty good buddies!
Just saw that video where you saved that man from the flood. Youre a hardworking, honest man who looks out for his people. WIsh everyone was just like you man. Really great stuff! Love to see it
Tim picking Will out of spreader having a blast XD 🤣
Super happy for your farm Wes... Theresa's suggestion was a great one ... I know you knew that too but I imagine the increased capacity will really earn it's keep..... love to see the smiles from your gas ... not that gas.... (gear acquisition syndrome)... at least that's what we call it in the music industry.... always come watch your vids..... so ty
I like the hummingbird on the back of Teresa’s jacket that is cool. Please show it or talk about in next video please
Chandlers are good equipment. I live about 129 miles south from Gainsville Ga where they are built. Darn good litter spreaders. I think you will be pleased...
Nice spreader Wes! I like to see you incorporating compost into your soil.
Tim seems to be a good big brother
Very impressed with your knowledge and ability,,,,,,congratulations to you
I'm glad William and Tim get along good .. gonna look good with those boards . Just worried about the extra weight with the extra height and little axles an tires.. Good buy
IN the UK we call them Greedy Boards.
Used to be on trucks years ago on trucks hauling sugar beet
A really nice video of big brother (tim) looking out for little bro (William Edward).
That saw saves you sooooooo much money. 👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
you can find a good spreading widht by putting containers out in the field running the widht of your spreading pattern and compare the weight of matereal that lands inside. did that with our granulated fertilizer spreader, i found that about 80% of the listed widht was acceptable in my case, but its a complete different design spreader.
You should thank your wife everyday for getting you to buy the right spreader. Most of us would take our wives to dealership to buy new piece of equipment and end up coming home with something half as wide , old as dirt and being held together by the rust ! lol
We run 2 stolfus 5 ton spreaders with those same size tires and they were a pain in the ass I really hope you have good luck with the chandler it looks like a beautiful spreader Wes
Great to see the mill back in action. The spreader also saves the lease and repair fees on the rental.
That white oak may have brought you a good penny, it’s top choice in todays ultra high end homes
Wes - you bought a Christmas present for your self :) - hopefully it works great ! - I look forward to a video of the spreader in action
Can never go wrong with greedy boards 👍
Great built spreader the only problem we ever had with the Chandelier was the rims. They will crack from turning. Cut centers out and make new solid 1/2 inch plates then weld them in. Put gussets between centers and rim. Look like shit but bullet proof. You with be pleased with that spreader.
The tire size/rims looks small for the weight this machine can carry... it does look like a weakpoint, that and hopefully he doesn't have to deal with too many muddy areas.
They shouldn't of used chinese rims, their quality & metalurgy suck
Hey chief , You gots the u tube bucks , get one of those beautiful old trucks running . Those are the most classy things . And sell a tee shirt .... 2 big lug nuts on a bolt and a giant adjustable wrench that says Asian Tight lol
Chandler keeps parts all the way back to the 80’s in their parts department. So your In good shape as far as getting any parts need. Their only 25 minutes from my location. So if you need anything just hit me up I can get the right part for you and save you the headache of receiving wrong parts and having to return them.
Can’t wait to see how the spreader works out for you been debating buying one for lime and chicken litter working on making our farm more independent
We have been spreading chicken and turkey litter on some of our rented ground . Nothing wrong with natural fertilizer from compost and animals. We believe that even though we are a large farm that we can still keep up our soil health while covering acres . I like your enginuity and creativity for improving your equipment while saving costs . Great work !
Awesome spreader Wes
Amen wes some time used isn't better its the piece of mind . Have a great day
OLF destroys illusions of his critics.
I'm thinking 3 light bars (removable), 2 yellow beacons and blue under glow. Nice implement addition.
Grate spreader best of luck with it
Put shims/spacers down before the first board so it doesn't hold moisture and compost/litter against the metal on top. All you need is 1/8th to 1/4 inch.
Those are damn good spreaders should serve you well.
Good morning Wes!!!
Good content. 👍 I was hoping to see the boards installed on the spreader.
I thought I tuned into another channel since this is a new piece of equipment
And OLF never buys new. LOL.
I do buy new stuff... how long have you been watching ?
That was funny her getting on to you for it being scratched.
Good choice with spreader
I loved the chandler I used to run I can’t remember if it was 20 or 25 but great spreader never had any problems with it
Also great call in taking out the middle piece I was not that smart and put litter in it while that thing was in there… you can imagine how that went I was in there with a shovel for a couple hours lol
Do you think you should put some rubber between the wood and steel? It seems like a moisture trap.
Either that or if he uses some sealer/glue to keep it out?
Rubber sweats worse than wood.
It looks good. Ive never seen 7,000 lb. axles. with 6 Lugs.
It may be hard to get it to spread only 20ft. The spinner speed may be too slow to get a consistent distribution. It might be best to cut your rate in half at a 40ft spread pattern and split your tire tracks. This will accomplish the same goal as a 20ft spread pattern but with less load on the spinner motors and a more even distribution. you can see your previous tracks and be fairly even. We spread 2 plus tons of lime in our area and on higher rates this provides more consistency.
Thats a nice sawmill. You should cut more often and post the videos.
Good video
good buy by the wife
Hello I think a good choice cause you say so. Waiting to see how it works. Your sawmill very nice I'd like get same. Have a good day.
Very nice spreader. Maybe I missed it...does it have a chain oiler? If not make sure if it's not gonna run for a few days, oil the chain with a mixture of old motor oil and diesel fuel. Lime is heavy and doing the first load after not running for a while with crap in between the chain without it being oiled causes stress over time. Dont ask me how I know
Dam must be nice to get new shiny equipment
Look at you!
@@onelonleyfarmer haha I figured I’d get ya
👍👍
After the warranty is off, you can do whatever you want with it.
Those tire rim although made in China it is possible that the steel metal is scrap from a WW2 USA or UK or Japanese battleships and destroyer grave yard as old battleships and destroyer in the Phillipines and Indonesia area are been scrap for there metal illegally as there are in a ships grave yard. As there is one USA battleships or destroyer in the area is completely missing from the seabed already and may more other are half scrap.
Affectionately know as "Hungry boards in New Zealand Wes
Them rim's should be MADE in MEXICO or MADE in INDIA but not CHINA..... FUNNY as F .... we love you Wesley.... keep it between the rows :-)
Why is this thing no running on the oil pressure of the tractor?
There are a few guys around here that have Knight slingers that they use to spread lime.
So do you load up your litter and just drive down the street dispensing it? In California (near & far from Krapramento) they just toss it along with lit cigarettes out the window there’s a reward for turning people in I’m surprised with dash cams there hasn’t been more of that
They are good spreaders. You'll be happy with spreading lime. Compost I'm thinking you'll be wanting a larger one. I have a 22ft one that I spread litter with. I spread 3-4 tons/acre and would hate to go with a smaller one.
im probably going to get another one just to speed up the process of compost.
Best thing you can do is to put that wood on, not because I have experience but it just sounds right
Wes, yes I think the saw mill did stop for a second, that's just by watching the sawdust coming out
Did Tim lose some weight? Carrying weight high makes it better when gravity* reaches out and wants to pull it down *32 ft/sec^2
What is Williams spread width & weight? Theresa is feeding him well and apparently you properly!

IS THERE A FILTER FOR THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM I DIDN'T SEE ONE AND YOU NEED TO PAINT ON THE SIDE NO FERTALIZER
👍
Forgot to add...Nice spreader and the reinforcing will help from ruining the top rails.
Anyone figure out what part of the video the Modification was in?
You won't like the little tires the things sink like a rock on them and the little axles won't take the punishment for long ours has the big tires and axles an I still wish we had bigger tires. Pretty good spreaders just minor things to watch on them they will Crack the welds on real rough ground. I took my extensions off because we kept tearing the spreader up with the weight....
🚜👍🍻
Is your compost from the Mushroom farms? Do they sell it or give it away? Id like to try it.
Lol, nice to see your family doing well. I know it sucks, they sneak Chinese parts on everything. But what happens when you do away with American industry. Hope all is well.
I can't believe you scratched it already I'm pissed
I would paint them oak boards with used motor oil to help them against rot.
Can you show the two oil pumps?
thankyou
You can see them in yesterday's video!
Right behind the PTO shaft!
Perfect for the farmall 😜😜
No farmer ever overloads a spreader
Yeah you will need fatter tyres at some point
Hiya Wes
Pine not oak. You did it all wrong. 🙂😅😎
The only thing she knows about feet is how many she messaged in her previous life . 🤣
Say thumbnail of wife and "spread her" title. Thought we were finally going to see a fun video. 🤪
Bang boards….
Not in”white”oak ,cully !
What's up
