OMG there's nothing wrong with it, I can see this caravan ending up full of Pine cladding and pallet wood doors 8-)
A remote control caravan lol I have seen it all now :)
It's not unusual as the caravans grow bigger and heavier these days. Many of them reached a point where moving it by hand isn't really possible anymore.
And handy, if you don't like your guests, just wait until they're asleep and send them on down the road.

Fix up??? It's awesome as is. I love it. Knowing you it will be spectacular when done, but as you were touring, i was thinking wow. It needs no work at all. I like light wood, not everyone does, though. 😀

Nice caravan guys - Renovation idea for the future;- Get some pallets + plywood + floor covering of your choice and build a raised floor platform for the awning, you can then create another room kitted out with a settee + the mobile kitchen + decorate in a Moroccan theme with ceiling + window drapes etc = should impress your mum! - also might be worth erecting a large outside sun screen net for the van (to slow down UV damage to the van & awning).
Just one other thought,....see if you can buy those commercial marque ground stake screws to hold the awning down in bad weather!

So curious to see what you change! I live in a UK caravan and have just changed the curtains and seating area, which made a huge difference.

We use to have a show in America we're 2-3 couples would exchange houses for one week and redo a room, it was called Trading Spaces. The couples would have the help of a designer and a carpenter. It was very entertaining and for the most part turned out really nice. However, there were a couple times I thought where the change was not any better. I think what you guys do to the caravan will be very nice.

What a great find especially with the fully fitted solar panel! The awning and ground sheet etc are an added bonus. Loved Theos acting lol. I would probably just buy a couple of large throws, some nice cushions and change the curtains, though that would need a sewing machine and take quite a while. A few nice pictures or wall arty things and accessories. Look forward to seeing your finished results.
PS that front folding table is a fantastic design!

Great seeing you in a caravan, I had to do a double take, thought I was on the wrong channel. Lol.
Two thumbs up on that purchase, kids ! Bee, I think that your mother will approve especially when she does not need to go out in the middle of the night to visit the loo.
I know that at 63 and a half if , and when, I get around to doing a van build, I plan on putting in a wet bath because going outside in the middle of the night is going to be a deal-breaker for me. Since I would be doing boondocking and various parking lots at Festival grounds the likelihood of having available toilets in the middle of the night it's going to be slim to none. Speaking of which, how is that fancy out-house of y'all's coming?

Portuguese sasquatch going on there. If it were me, I just got a new kitchen and office/chill space.
dont forget your pots and pans can also go in the drawer under the oven!

I live in my Lunar caravan in Spain. Mine is a Zenith model, 5.8metres 6 berth. Very comfortable and practical. Also I have just fitted a motor mover to make it easier to move around. I have been going through the process of getting it registered in Spain. Nearly there after 6 months! I have an appointment next week at Trafico (government transport department) which I hope will be the last step! I hope mother likes your caravan. Looks great.

Haha If it was me, I'd give a good clean, call it retro and leave it at that. :) Not sure about the remote control though. I have enough trouble turning off my ceiling fans when the remote plays up. I'd hate the caravan to be on the move when the batteries die LOL

new curtains, new covers on the seats, bunting along the front cupboards to stop you banging your head and definitely needs fairy lights
Congrats on your new camper. I would maybe „just“ exchange the curtains and the covers of the cushions/polsters, lights. Everything else is very functional, so I would try to keep it. A bit detail bits amd bobs to finish it of with a personal note. The mover (remote) is cool if you are alone and need to move the caravan into a small space.

Lovely caravan! Congrats! 💜Nice and cool with the blinds only, wont work. Last summer in Portugal my Motorhome heated up like a oven, even with the roof (has 2 layers of sunblock sheet) of our terrace above the roof of the motorhome. It was terrible.
This is super nice. I would like to get something like this for my husband and I. We are going to do a housing project up in the top of Florida. It's will be vast farmland up there. So this would be great. Excited to see what you do to get ideas for the future.

It’s like your basement of your house. It is the extra space you can use whenever you need to.
Such a lovely van ,like new , cant believe you are going to paint it inside. Its value will plummet. Can imagine the brush runs streaks and drips. dust collectors.,
We don’t care what the resale would be. We bought it as a guest accommodation for friends and family. That said it would definitely sell for more than we paid and not a drip in sight 😎
Would be funny to start moving the caravan with an unsuspecting guest inside!

I hope your lovely caravan is better made than the US models! Would be very scarry using paint on vinyl coverd
pressed board or or cheap ply and now fiberglass :-/. Cabinet doors might be solid wood in our caravans. Good luck with your beauty, you have a lovely sense of color and an eye for style, so I'm eager to see your update!! Love you guys :-).

What year is your new nest? It looks great, I don’t think it needs much doing at all and if you find you’re not using it much then you can always sell it on, great buy
Hi both I am a very loyal subscriber and absolutely love your life style. I am going to look at narrowboats today (so excited) don’t have much budget so don’t know what would be available. I was just wandering knowing that you have had one.I am also a brummy and not sure yet how far I would like to cruise, but also trying to weigh up my options with a self converted van. I think with the boat it’s just the fear of the unknown and permits moorings blackening and surveys.
Any advice would be great fully received.
