He looked so hurt (╯︵╰,)
He indeed does look hurt, but at the same time, error was also hurt by inks reaction, which I feel after rewatching that bit, was ink pushing error away, and error retaliating due to how ink did it. Really, they both could've handled it better cause its obvious they both do have feeling for the other, but are in a denial state atm.

@@bastlase I believe Ink did that intentionally for Error to proceed to hate him afterward and choose to move on from him, despite the fact that Ink may like him back. I think he wants to simply protect Error from... Himself; He, as a knowingly SOULles being, and can feel absolutely nothing without the vials on his stash, didn't want Error to have to risk things for him. Something like that, I guess.

I love Error's voice, especially when he said 'Did you know that your eyes look like stars sometimes?'
When you think about it ink isn't laughing because he's a bad person.
In the Undertale franchise laughing is a way to cope with pain and to hide it. Ink obviously doesn't want to hurt error, but it hurts him knowing he can't return the feelings of someone he's obviously trying to be close to and friends with. Unlike ink Error doesn't cope with the pain the same way even if it's a different type. Error has felt rejected and now hurt by ink because of the way he reacted. It hurts a lot when someone laughs at you,even if ink wasn't persay laughing at him that's how error took it. This is a very sad and touching comic that really shows the faults and reality of this ship in particular. Even if Error did have feelings for ink, the squid wouldn't be able to return them because he's soulless. Ink is never one to hurt someone or something and this comic really does show that reality. Ink tries to deal with this pain by laughing like most characters would because he feels bad and doesn't actually want to hurt error in the end if he tried to show affection, which would all be fake. Error hides the pain of the rejection by denying it like most people do, error is already a very hurt and broken skeli-boi and when it comes down to it all he really wants is to be happy. And when he finally feels happy around someone they can't feel the same way because they have no soul. However having no soul doesn't particularly mean he has no "heart". At the end of this comic I wanted to cry not just because I ship this but because when trying to hide his pain error managed to really emotionally (probably more mentally) injure ink with his last words. I should've killed you.
It's a very sad thing to think about considering how much this fandom ships these two in particular. I just had to throw that out there.

as an aroace, i understand ink. Not being able to feel romantic/seggsual attraction does not mean we dont appreciate frienships and dont want to be close to people, we can still feel empathy for others, and trust me, i always feel bad when someone asks me out and i have to let them down.
ink is canonicaly aroace and im so happy that theres some representation in a fandom i love sm, we are rarely represented and more rarely correctly potrayed

Yeah, I want to see this comic continue, when ink confesses, because to me it looks like ink actually likes him but he wants to convince himself he doesn't because he thinks error will betray him or something? To me, ink doesn't want to actually become emotionless when he only has a few emotions left, and doesn't want to feel used so he lies.

Keep in mind Ink is a soulless being and can’t feels emotions without his vials, however I noticed he sounded heartbroken when he was saying he couldn’t love Error back
Gonna be honest, I actually feel sadder for Ink in this. He clearly WISHES he could feel love. And I get the feeling his cold, mocking rejection was more a way to protect himself from the despair of not being able to return the emotion, as well as protecting Error from any false hope. That's what I interpret from his expressions at least. He may be soulless, but he's not "heartless". I don't believe Ink would be stupid or ignorant enough to hurt Error like that. (Simply because he has to KNOW that it would hurt him.) As shaky as it is, they are friends. (At the very least, they're the closest thing to "friends" that each other has.) I honestly believe that Ink had his reasons for reacting so callously. And, in a way, it hurt him to do it. Simply because of all the situation represented for him personally, as well as how it would inevitably leave Error feeling. It's just a [philosophically/existentially] painful situation, for both parties, and that's got to be pretty rough on Ink, simply because he knows that he's the "bad guy" because of it. And I HIGHLY doubt that he wants to be. :'(
But, you do have to admit, the fact they can't be together is perfect, along with these reasons.
Why? Because they're technically the same person, both Sanses.
People have actually been claiming Error wasn't a Sans (anymore?) but still, their relationship would be faulty ddue to their different... everything.

I would like to add a few reasons to... If ink isnt heartless does that mean he CAN feel love? I mean he probably can. He was sparing ERRORS feelings. Also since ERROR isnt a sans then this relationship might not fail. Think about it though. I mean the look on inks face was pure lies. And i dont think he was crying cause he laughed to hard eithet. He was probably crying because he loves ERROR to but doesnt want to end up breaking his heart (soul) because they cant even kiss... How sad.. Besides... ERROR and ink probably have other things to worry about other than relation ships. And also in case you havent noticed.. Ink is probably way older than ERROR. Cause ERROR used to be part of an AU and ink makes the AUs (i think) so in conclusion ink DOES love ERROR BUUUUUUT he thinks it just wasnt meant to be.. :'(

You know, it has been almost four years since this video was posted. I was very new in the fandom when I saw it and I think this video is one of the reasons why I stayed in it. The story, the lineart, the dub... they are really nostalgic and always makes me warm (besides the fact Error got rejected lmao qwq). Just wanted to say that I am really thankful for getting to see this video. I know that this comment may be corny but that's the truth.
This video changed my whole brain chemistry since I watched it all those years ago. I have come back once more to relive the memories.

Error: Number two: Ink is not completely emotionless. While he does need his vials to feel emotions to a normal degree, he still has emotions. Extremely weak ones, but they’re there.

I’ve already watched the two parts, and I would love you to finish off the series! But that’s up to you, I just can’t wrap my mind around how well the actors voices match up with the characters! Then again, there’s the comic I can always read!
This here is a masterpiece! I love the music and how is gets louder when Ink figures out Error little crush or whatever, I JUST LOVE IT!! :D
I just wanted to say that this is the single best comic dub I’ve ever had the privilege to watch. Everything plays together so well. The voices, the inflection, the echoing of the voices and sound effects, the background music. The way the music swells when Ink says, “You like me Glitchy.” I actually got chills. You did an amazing job.

Ink laughing when he realizes what's going on is the most beautiful thing I've heard today.
(My English is a mess, but i don't care, I love this so much ;-;)
gets me every time. I feel error's sadness when ink said that he couldn't love him back-
Most of the comments are talkin bout when Ink laughs at Error but what I'm focused on is when Error says "I thought ide show you to prove... i can appreciate the multiverse in rare cases too." I feel this is when he was tryng to say he can appreciate some things instead of hating them YA THINK!?
So now I'm going to a psychologist for giggling the entire video.

so many freaking times I searched this up, today I rewatch this and see. IT WAS ALREADY LIKED.
Ink half wishes he could feel real things, be a real person. But he knows its impossible, he has no soul of his own. No memory's before his emotionless existence. No sense of what being real truly is... so he plays. He pretends to be a person. He pretends to care when he knows he can't. The kindest thing he can do, is tell someone when he can't share their feelings. Usually he views everything as part of his game, but Error... is the only one on Inks level... so, he couldn't lie to him. This is to do with respect more so then emotion. He takes fake feelings to compensate however, being incapable of understanding is frustrating, not in the way of anger or emotional turmoil, more so it's similar to a tummy ach in its inconvenient. You want it to hurt but at the same time... it just won't. He's empty.
You know ever since I started watching underverse I started realizing that ink is kind of more messed up than error it's just that error has a purpose for what he's doing ( despite it being kinda evil yet still reasonable at the same time ) but ink only keeps doing what he does to enjoy things no matter the cost of achieving it.
There is a purpose. He wouldn’t be protecting AUs if there was no reason for it.
Correct! Ink just wants to create and satisfy his desire! He protects the Au's because he doesn't want to lose his "playthings" in his "playhouse". After all it's stated that Ink thinks of the others as storybook characters (Meaning to him they aren't important)
With his vials, though, he cares about them.
Also, you can’t blame him. He’s doing his best to care. He’s also the only soulless character that doesn’t want to harm anyone.
The reason why I’m standing up for him is because I think everyone is a protagonist of their own story and everyone deserves happiness.
