Gavin Jones well the charger doesn't have the best handling and he didn't go all out cuz he couldn't until the final straightaway. You could hear the supercharger constantly opening and closing since he lets off the gas a lot to avoid oversteering the corners with all that power. Just remember that power doesn't equal maneuverability
Takumifuji86 I'm well aware of the Chargers short comings in the handling department. They were built on a ladder frame which made the chassis flex while turning and the live rear axle didn't help any. They also had undersized brakes. stock they had either all drum, and front disk on the high trim models with rear disk as an option. if you want them to handle better these days you basically have to rebuild the whole car. this one from what I can tell has been upgraded quite a bit. steering is sharper then a stock Charger and the braking is quicker as well
Everyone's gangsta unyil you see a flaming fucking skeleton in leather riding any sort of flaming vehicle coming fucking toward you then you know your not so big and tough anymore
Fanboy comments to follow: 1) Lot of comments about the FnF Charger. Not quite, but there is an easter egg here: In the BTS commentary, the builder responsible for turning out the HellCharger actually used the BDS blower cover from FnF. Hence the look. Toretto's Charger was always a 1970 model though, easily discernible by the chrome "loop" bumper up front. The HellCharger is a '69. What can I say? I'm a diehard vintage Charger fan... 2) The BTS commentary also showed that the engine was NONE of Mopar's real performance engines---just a mildly tweaked 400, which was a smog motor, and only fair-to-middling in stock trim. The blower's not even real---they actually built a frame and hard-mounted the blower cover to the hood with elastic mounts so it would "shake" when the stunt driver goosed it. 3) And Mack's right---without her "flight mode", L.O.L.A. doesn't stand a chance against a sledgehammer of a musclecar like a Charger. Once Robbie hit the straightaway, that race was over. (Spoiler alert: Coulson gets help from an invisible friend.....)
I love both the vette and the charger. In real life that supercharged charger would dominate but in agents of shield "lola" isnt a typical vette it has some enhancements that make it formidable with the charger in speed. Robbie reyes did great as ghost rider in a.o..s.
0:58 This scene reminds me of the scene in the fast and furious movie when dom and Paul did their last race before dom's Dodge carger hit a truck and flipped his car over. In that scene, Robbie, the car is the same as the Dodge carger, like Dom's, but when he saw a truck, he immediately stepped aside as if he didn't want to repeat the mistakes and negligence that Dom did. Very nostalgic.
The charger looks to be just playing with the corvette it looks like the charger is telling the corvette come on you can do it just try to keep up lol and that supercharger sound OMG I love it
If that was a 67 Corvette it would destroy it with their 427. Plus Coulson's Vette is heavily modified and probably has a more powerful engine to be able to fly so quickly.
Ramon Vargas but with a whole lot less of them wrecking these classics, Hollywood is making them go extinct and I prefer a franchise that lasted too long to die out over these classics dying out for money
wow, whoever handled the audio for this show even knew to include "blower surge" into the sound effects. Even if its at the wrong times, who doesn't love the sound of the surge...
One of the rare mistake , the sound that keep doing the pfffssss from the charger of the Ghostrider is the sounds of a turbo releasing the to much pressure by the waste gate, that any mechanical enthusiasts knows, wiles the car acutely as a supercharged instead that doesn’t makes the same sounds, it’s very different from a supercharged it’s gonna have a continued whistle as the blower spinning
I love Dodge more than his bike Of they modified dodge also with skulls and exhaust that threw flame out like flame thrower that dodge mad and than i love more. More powerful than bike Both combo amazing 🔥
A 280hp 1958 corvette is keeping up with a probably 700+ hp charger, which is controlled by a demon and can probably break the fucking sound barrier. Great driving there, Robbie.
Personally, idk if I'm a fan of that intake, I would have like a small scoop and thats it. I'd also like less chrome bc ghost rider is just black and red
I always smile when I see this scene...
"Don't worry, it's not gonna be a problem this time..." Charger immediately pulls away....
And robbie crashes into invisible plane right after.
Haha
Well shit
The corvette has better handling than the charger but as soon as there was a straight away it was over for it

Gavin Jones somebody can read the brochure
He didn't go all out on the straights. If he did he would smoke the Vette.

Not much of a competition if you ask me
@Alfredo Lopez nope. C2 starts in 63 with the split window

It's definitely the star of this scene, that vette, though a very nice car can't hold a candle to that Charger
Toretto's charger.
This scene is what I call the GOOD kind of fan service.

@Sharan Mudda indeed
I love classic Chargers too
And you could tell the supercharger "butterflies" on the intake weren't opening on acceleration like they should have been
I think you mean invisible Quinjet?
Old Chargers are literally the epitome of American muscle.

That sweet sound of the Charger. Giving Ghost Rider this car is the best idea ever

Not a stock 62 Corvette though.
Logan Palmer especially when it's in the hand of shield
Logan Palmer actually yah it would

I love how the canal is a bit of a reference to Terminator 2! 😊
"You can borrow my Charger, but it's for Family right?"

I like the fact that Robbie Reyes is not a teenager in this. The actor gives the character a lot more gravitas.
Not gonna be a problem this time!
Charger: feeds them a gapronie pizza
See lot of people getting dom's and robbie's chargers mixed up.
Dom drives a 1970 charger
Robbie drives a 1969
Dom drove a '69 in the OG F&F so NO, we aren't getting them mixed up

That dodge charger was a beast!!!
Did anyone notice that in the chase scene Mack was replaced for a much lighter toned skinned dummy? Looks pretty weird.

I love the way Lola looks like two guys in one car
So many movie and tv scenes have been filmed in that reservoir. Gone In 60 Seconds, Terminator 2, etc.
Never get tired of seeing this charger
Ghost rider is one of my favorite characters
The stance on that Charger... my GOD. That has gotta be one of the meanest looking cars I've ever seen.
Mack: get in the car i’m driving

Don't... touch... Lola.
This was soooooooo good. Please give us a GR series with Gabriel Luna
why did they edit the charger to sound like its accelerating when the scoop was closed?
Imagine if the charger stopped and you hear domes voice in it sayin, * I used to drag back here I’m highschool*

Chevy is always looking at tail lights 😂
They definitely said to the Charger driver, "Go slow. Lola can't keep up"

Alright....this was kinda cool! It was like a Gone in 60 Seconds vibe, but with a Charger! I'm hip!
ComicalCowboy1911 you meant bullit but with a corvette or fast and furious why would you even compare the charger to Eleanor?
what episode
that supercharger sounds more like a turbo and i hate how sometimes when he is driving at full throttle the intake holes are closed
What do you expect from a model car
I love Dodge more than his bike
Of they modified dodge also with skulls and exhaust that threw flame out like flame thrower that dodge mad and than i love more.

Anyone else love that turbo sound?
Or is that something else?
That turbo tho
and of course, cut it off before the end...brilliant
I for got what charger is that
Doesn't the charger make a bunch more power then the Corvette, enough to outweigh the weight difference? It easily could have pulled away much sooner
The fact is the butterfly’s on that supercharger are closed half the time put some details into to it 🤦🏼♂️
Do anyone notice the blower doesnt open when he go full throttle
Please don't wreck the charger...me, the whole time!

They had to write Robbie out of the season cause his special effects was killing theyre budget so yeah watered down Hell Charger lol
It can definitely break the sound barrier but Robbie could’ve lost them without the flames just do to the fact he’s in a 69 charger
