What if the subtitles are already encoded in the video in several languages and you just want to hardcode a SPECIFIC language from the available set of subtitles?
Hello sorry to bother you I need to know if it is possible to use VLC to remove Hardcoded subtitles and how to do it if it is possible if not may I get a confirmation on if it is actually possible with handbrake if that's ok and if possible could you please make a video or something on how to do it and let me know thank you

@@EZTutorialsOnline not fixed, i got this form the vlc support. Hello Yuri, We don’t have the needed checkbox for that exposed on macOS I just noticed. I’ll need to add that for the next version. For the meantime, consider using Handbrake to burn in your subtitles. Best regards,
If you still have issues, I found that opening just VLC (not through the file you want, but just opening the software by itself, without clicking on a video file) and then doing it, worked.
Thanks for posting. Is this for Windows only. The Mac version of VLC, after I click on Stream, doesn't show any of these options above (i.e. 'Use a subtitle file' etc) so it's a dead end
I get an output file, but sometimes it's shorter than it should be. Sometimes not. And even if not, Windows sometimes thinks it is shorter than it actually is. But always, it won't play in anything other than VLC. Even when I sent it to my phone, looks fine, won't play. Try VLC for Android, works. Basically, it makes a very weird and special output file.

I like to cast the movies to my Xbox and this is great because the Xbox Media player doesn't recognize subtitle files when casting. However, I've run into an issue where after hardcoding the subs, the audio won't play while casting to the Xbox. It still works fine when played on my PC, so I'm not sure where the issue is coming from. Would you happen to know how to fix that?
Nice!! Thank you! But, when I try to add subtitles without the "overlay" checkbox, it does not add them! And I want to burn the subtitles in a way that they are in the downmost area, out of the video frame (on the black bar). Is there a workaround?
I have tried it several times and it hasn't worked. The new files does not have the subtitles hard-coded. I have seen some other tutorials saying one must quit the VLC software in order to have the subtitles hard-coded. Any clues?
Explained simply and clearly with no long intro and no unnecessary waffling. PERFECT! ✨✨
Thanks! Glad you liked it!

I repeated it step by step - it does not work. There are no subtitles on the new rendered file.
well it doesn't work for me, there's still no subtitles

thank you for this clear explanation, just one more question , how long should it take to finish ?
Thanks. I've had to watch this like a dozen times!
perfectly explained, direct to the point. thanks!
You're welcome!
Worked perfectly - and I haven´t been able to get this to work for a long time. Thank you :)
Glad to hear that! You're welcome! Cheers!
Thank you for the straight forward and quick explanation! Absolutely excellent! 5/5!

Hmmmm... that's strange
You need to download subtitle files separately. Without a subtitle file, it won't work
Very useful video, especially for subtitle writers. 👍👍
Glad you think so!
@@EZTutorialsOnline yes this was very useful information. Thanks for sharing.😊

yeah you should quit, Don't just click the top right cross arrow, click the media option and then quit
Is it possible to add an opaque box?
it worked but the movie became very short i could only see couple minutes
Looks like something got bugged. try again and see if it repeats the problem
@@EZTutorialsOnline yeah it worked now i closed vlc too soon so it didn't finish
CONVERT [select the one with: (TS)]
it doesnt work, the file is created but without subtitles
Make sure to restart vlc after you change settings to make it "remember"
Why it's removing my audio
Not working
This is why convert with subtitles and handbracke is a waste of time if you want to cast with subtitles.
not replying to any questions...
Absolute rubbish. It doesn't work
