Best personnel, best stadium, best training facilities etc. The way United used to be and should have been run since Fergie left. Is McKenna the best United could go for? It's one thing managing academy players, and championship players and the complete opposite end of the spectrum managing one of the world's biggest clubs and international players. You don't go from managing Ipswich to United, no European experience. Its just never going to happen

I think United’s crop of current players are literally uncoachable, I don’t think they have the discipline and professionalism for it. They need to scrub the deck and start again, even if that meant releasing them all, playing the kids and building on that, a huge reset is needed, of all the issues we have, I think managerial appointment is a way down the list!
*Edit… that’s not to say some of them aren’t talented, but they’re poor professionals, they lack the work ethic, the hard work and the morals to succeed when things aren’t going their way, they just fold at the first sign of trouble… you can coach and teach all you want, once that whistle goes, it’s on the players 🤷🏽♂️

I started supporting united in 79.. coming from north east London i wanted to be different and living in arsenal territory..i decided to support united in the build up to the 79 cup final.. which we lost in glorious style... which reinforced my love for the club, the first game i went to was v Ipswich..my grandad took me, and we lost 6 nil... bailey saved 3 pens, 1 was retaken... so we could of lost 8 nil... the first game i went on my own was v arsenal.. Stapleton's first game back at highbury..it was 0-0 and there was a full on tear up on the terraces..and i spent the whole game terrified.then for my birthday my mum took me to white hart lane..i was done up head to toe in united gear, hat , scarf , tracksuit...she bought tickets for seats in the Spurs end...we lost... I had a 1000 spurs fans taking the mickey for the whole 90 minutes...i was alright with that, from then on i went to every game united played in London...i had to wait till 83 to see my first win 4-2 v arsenal in the league cup semi final... and before sir Alex built us up we finished 11th 11th and 13th...every defeat made me support united even more...so on that basis i still want to see ETH succeed...if we have a bad start next season..then he has to go...but I've seen what it takes to build a team..and it's time...re Southgate, i like him and his football.. didn't understand playing sterling who hadn't trained over Marcus who was on fire..but just like pundits would say when i was a kid...we don't have a divine right to win the league... and imo if ETH was still at ajax, he is exactly the person ineos would want, and no doubt we would be battling Liverpool and munich to recruit him...i dont know what we should do... but Southgate is not the man...i say give ETH the first 6 weeks...a lot will disagree, when we won the cup winners cup was beyond my wildest football dreams... top show lads

Would rather anyone else but Tuchel (def NOT Southgate also) as good as he might seem or acclaim to be...he's never been at a club without any hassle orchestrated or following him. IF players can't handle minor criticism under ETH then God help them when Tuchel's in front of the camera and the watching World. He's openly criticized the PSG, Dortmund, Chelsea and Bayern Munich players...
So why would he be a good fit for the riff-raff we have, we need a manager who's able to control their emotions, remain steadfast with their convictions and philosophy and that's why I still want ETH to at the very least work under a sole football-based environment next season.
Not sure about keeping ten hag but if the only other options are Southgate or tuchel then I'd give Ten Hag one more year.
Biggest problem is ten hag only has a year left on his contract, extending it now would be insane and who is going to want to sign for a manager in his final year and on thin ice - especially after the season he just had.
@@mundolioknows6447 I completely agree with you mate, I think awarding a NEW contract now under such uncertainty and unacceptable performances from all involved would be a huge mistake. They (ETH, the Backroom Staff and Players) should ALL prove why they deserve to remain at the Club and ANYONE who falls below United's and INEOS's standards should be removed immediately.
We MUST adopt a zero tolerance approach from here on in...for too long the players have dictated the landscape.
@@amurtagh-Ruthless thing is, I believe the majority of these players are good enough to mould into a team. For me the only ones to get rid of are: casemiro, eriksen, Antony and lindelof. Martial is going anyway. The rest are decent enough. A huge clear out is so unlikely, Ineos have already said they're not going to be signing big money, big wage signings anymore.
It's more about fitness and tactics. Those are the two things that have wrecked our season.

So we've had a burnt out, fatigued team trying to play a flawed game plan all season and even when we're down to Evans and casemiro as CBs, playing against an in-form side that's already beaten us at old Trafford and having won 1 in 8 ourselves, he STILL sends them out with the exact same game plan and same formation!! Tuchel is perfect for this squad. Bring in Maatsen, Frimpong, Todibo, Tosin, Olise and Welbeck and we are for sure in the top 4.
Blaming tuchel for not winning the league is madness. Leverkusen have gone super saiyan. Bayern are on par to finish with a few more points than last season and they would be in the CL final (favorites) had it not been for (arguably) the best keeper of all time, no hyperbole, fucking up.

At this point im almost 50/50 over just give ETH the last year of his contract and let him focus on culture shift across the club or cut ties bring in Tuchel who I think is an equally good manager. I reckon with good leadership above the manager we can go to a modern system of sporting director buys in players under one vision and we bring in a head coach for 2/3 year contracts and move on.
That disallowed goal at the end for Bayern was inexcusable. You can have mentality but you can also have dreadful decisions and refereeing that push you through too.

I don’t think replacing ETH is the answer, the season has been a bust from the start…. All the injury woes just made it so much worse, one first choice 11 appearance all season is shocking.
People are expecting a miracle cure with a change in management, but at some point we’re going to have to stick with one, otherwise we’ll never get out of this continuous slump we’re in.
I think they know most of the players we have are not good enough or are just past it, but can’t shift them due to our ridiculous transfer activity and policies.

Tuchel for me us a good manager but not good for Utd project. As for his time at Bayern, it's been terribly bad. I watched their game last weekend vs Stuttgart where he was schooled tactically. His recruitment and selections are also terrible from what I've seen at PSG ( playing lazy Ney as a 10), Chelsea, and now at Bayern ( yesterday he started Mazraoui ahead of Davies). ETH deserves one more season at Utd with Ineos backing

get wanting to support your manager during a bad spell especially when it is perceived that your clubs players let down other managers and the problem may likely be them.
However the way some United fans hype Ten Hag, you would think he is prime Guardiola or Ancelotti. He is a decent manager who has massively underachieved this season despite a decent last season. Given the money spent on players he should be doing way more even with injuries and his team should be playing better football.
Before his United stint, he won titles at Ajax but that’s expected when you are an Ajax or PSV manager in that league. Waving titles won at Ajax or PSV isn’t a flex unless you did a treble like Van Gaal or Hiddink.
Even his much praised semi final run in the CL is overstated. Pochettino’s Spurs beat that team, plus Pochettino actually reached a final and won a title with PSG (same as winning one with Ajax) so why is Pochettino wrongly seen as the inferior manager? Pochettino actually has more success in terms of title challenges and higher place finishes and point hauls in the PL.
Interesting that Tuchel is being criticized for his tactical switches in today’s game even though it was due to Kane’s injury and besides Neuer’s mistake caused the equalizer. Ten Hag almost bottled a 3-0 lead to Coventry. Bottled a 4-1 lead to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea and was also beaten by Lampard in the reverse fixture. Ten Hag’s much regarded Ajax team bottled that semi as well.
Tuchel isn’t choosing United as the title of this video proposes. He is looking for a job in the PL, and I hope he doesn’t take the United job. Because it’s a dysfunctional squad and it’s the last thing he needs because he is a straight shooter. But make no mistake, Tuchel is a huge upgrade on Ten Hag. It doesn’t need to be said. He has won things everywhere he has managed. He is the only manager to take PSG to a CL final despite their resources. Ten Hag can’t even manage a team with egos like Sancho and Ronaldo without leaks or the likes of Garnacho trolling him. Tuchel managed Chelsea during an ownership change plus an economic embargo without the level of the team dropping. They still won things that year.

Tuchel cannot play on the front foot. Bayern looked decent when he set them up like a championship team in the FA cup. We he has to play attacking football, Bayern looked like crap. He didn't win the league last year. Dortmund lost it in spectacular fashion. Add in that he publicly complains about everything. I just don't see him as a United manager. Tuchel is a defensive coach. He had Bayern Munich playing in a Champions League semi final like they were a lower division team hoping for a magical cup win.
