I have a Bose S1 Pro and I am a singer/guitarist. The mic signal is pretty weak on the Bose and that's ridiculous considering the price tag. I had a pair of them but sold one because I'm not in love with them. They sound fine but I'm really leaning towards getting the Alto Busker to use as a monitor and also for announcing sporting events in a school gymnasium. For that purpose I'm not too worried about sound quality but if I were to use the Bose for speaking purposes only I'd have to max out the volume so the Alto sounds like the better option for my needs
Bose seems be a perfect PA speaker but a not good monitor. I think it's sound gets more beautiful more than real. I decided buy Alto Busker and feel satisfied about it's truely sound with a price ~295$ (Black Friday).
I closed my eyes, randomly moved the slider, guessing which one was playing. I could tell the Bose vs the Alto. They were both loud, but the Bose had a more pleasant sound.
Thanks for the video. Listening with my headphones (Bose) I can hear that distinctive Bose full sound. I heard the new S1 plus has an improved sound and is ported differently. I would love to hear a comparison with the original S1. However, I am going to to try a pair of the Alto Buskers. The difference in sound was noticeable but the Altos still did a great job and I believe will work for my application. Hey, it should be a compliment that Alto is ( literally ) in the same discussion as Bose. Lol. I am big fan off Bose BTW and own full size PAs of both Manufacturers.
I kinda changed my mind... As an avid BOSE collector. I really could see myself buying a couple of these. They seem quite formidable, and I can appreciate just about anything hitting above it's weight class like BOTH of these listening units. I heard that the battery is rechargeable but NOT replaceable...? If anyone knows anything about this.... ?
@@IAmKAZMO I went on and pulled the trigger. The battery is not”officially “ replaceable. However, I’m sure it can be swapped out down the road if needed. @georgethedj4946 "irreplaceable" usually means "Go get the soldering iron" ... I want to hear more about how they sound. I like these portable sounds cannons.! 😆
Did anyone tryed the Alto as a floor monitor for live music (acoustic guitar and vocals)? Does it clips? I have one Bose S1 (old version) for a long time, and it clips a lot, the led flashes Red a lot of times, but no matter what never failed me, im talking about 120 gigs per year and still sounds good without any issues. Just wanted to know about the Alto with higher volumes...
You're correct ... The Alto is technically a competitor. It just can't compete with BOSE and it's not designed too. I have a Bose household including 2 of the new Pro+ and I'm still thinking about getting an Alto for when I don't want to expose and abuse my real babies bc just one of them cost more than my first car.! 😆

Hmmm.....OK, I have a Bose S1 pro and just for context, I have done around 200 bookings so far this year with it as a care home entertainer and also in hotels. When performing at larger venues, I use it as a mixer to feed Alto TS310 speakers. My biggest issue with the Bose is no EQ on the Aux channel so for these bigger venues, I put the audio signal through a Graphic EQ pedal before going into the Bose. One of my regular hotel venues has an annoying resonance in the lower frequencies, so adjustable EQ is a must. There is adjustable EQ on all 3 channels and overall speaker on this Alto Busker via the app. I tried one of the new Bose S1 Pro Plus speakers, but sent it back as I didn't think it was that much better to warrant the extra expense. Listening to this video through a pair of Yamaha headphones, I thought that the sound from the Alto was better, clearer and more defined and just as much bass as the Bose, but with more definition. I am going to try one and if I don't like it, I'll send it back! Thank goodness for online shopping!
Hey brother thanks for the feedback . So iam thinking of getting the 410s but l saw a review that’s the 310 are better . So what’s your experience with them . I want to get smaller pair of speakers for small events because l do own a pair of rcf 15s and sometimes l have small events and limited on space so l want something compact , affordable and durable. Iam pinned between the alto ts 10s and today l saw the busters . Now l know l won’t have the battery powered with the 10s but I see good things about the altos and want to give them a chance but want to make the right choice .. any feedback will help
@DJJunior192 More Highs? Something tells me the treble was implemented here. Otherwise, he probably would've had to do multiple tests to show how much at which level. The battery isn't exchangeable in the Alto, either... and the fact they tried to make it look like a Bose S1pro is almost laughable. Sealing designs?!! Makes me kinda angry, actually, bc that's just Tacky AF!
I have owed the Bose and was always bothered bij the boomy, for my ears unnatural bass. The Alto is clearer, smaller, lighter and above all, you can buy 2 Altos for one Bose. Pair the Altos with a subwoofer and you have a lighter, cheaper and above all better setup than Bose can give for the same price.
I have both. Alto is cleaner on the high end, and louder! Alto has more features. Bose house sound is fuller, better low end, more Hifi less fatiguing. If you pair with a sub Alto is the more full range solution! Thinking of getting a second Alto. Price went down to $350! My first Alto , not sure of reliability???
Wow thank you for this video . I currently have one Bose s1 old version and was debating on buying another one to fill in some cocktail events and ceremonies that are big in space or even djing small gigs in tight spaces like bars . But if l can get two alto buskers for the price of one Bose I think that’s a great deal. Iam very picky on sound quality and after listening to the Alto busker there not so much difference think they sound really nice . Now my question how is the long life of the alto brand and durability. Anyone can help me feel confident enough. Also was thinking of getting the alto 410s pair as well for a little more ump power but still have a small compact set for smaller gigs . My main system is two 15” rcf and two 18” subs so l have power . But l need something small and powerful for small gigs so o don’t need to pull out the bad boys all the time .. what’s your thoughts and l want to stay under $700 .
I use 2x TS310s on a pole on top of 2x TS312 subs. Over 100 gigs, sounds great and "full". Easy to transport. Just don't overdrive any Altos and provide clean input signal.
I have 2 altos, and a friend has 2 bose i prefer the altos you can adjust the eq on the app to make them sound better. Ive also the alto 12 in sub with the 2 busker on top i have a mini pa, and it sounds great Like a mini satellite system 😊
Hi! And how will the Bose S1 Pro Plus be able to voice this urban scene? ua-cam.com/video/yoybdtGrRm4/v-deo.html Will it be heard as well as Everse 8? Is the Bose S1 Pro Plus suitable for such performances? The other speaker in the same place is heard worse ua-cam.com/video/fNYFreBIEiw/v-deo.html . Will the sound volume in the Bose S1 Pro Plus be closer to the first option or to the second? Thanks!
Realy not possible to make a good comparisson without taking the different settings in mind. For example, the Alto Busker sounds realy different (fuller) with the pole setting instead of the monitor setting.

Nothing Can Touch The S1 -Pro Period!
Very helpful! I wish all speaker comparison videos did it this way.
Vocal is brighter on Alto, music on Bose

excellent sound test. that's how it should be!!

does it clips at 60% and more volume ??? especially on bass oriented songs !?

The new Alto product is clearly a competitor for busking, more features and cheaper.

BOSE Sound is of course more powerfull and deep. Thanks for this video.
Is it just me or does the Bose sound Bigger and Better?
Sounds more full then the Alto. Alto may have more on highs but you can’t beat the clarity on Bose.
