When this track first got released... I was withdrawing massively from opiates. It got me through all the sleepless nights of pain... All the aches, restless legs, emotions, feeling like my nerves were on fire, headaches... I already had chills but these changed to chills from the absolute orgasmic vibes of this track. A smile was on my face... my endorphins kick started.
5 years have passed... here I am again... In the same position. I made mistakes again and I am in full withdrawal again... Listening to this on repeating and retracing my steps.
It's sounding silly isn't it? How one little piece of genius music can pull you through and make you remember that there are things out there worth fighting for... There are things more enjoyable in life than opiates. Like this song. I am probably going to end up deaf at the volume it's at... but this is my cure. It describes every emotion going through me right now, and there is no need for vocals.
Every up and down is reflected in this song and it brings tears to my eyes. Deadmau5 you aren't only a f*cking genius my dude... you are also a doctor.

2012 was a bad year. Mom's health was going downhill fast and I was stuck in a shit position of trying to be caretaker with no idea what I was doing all while severely depressed and pondering things that no person should consider.
Cue bumming HBO or one of those one night, and Deadmau5's concert pops up. I'd heard his tunes and loved em but not seen the show, so I put it on.
Something hit when this song started. All I can say is Joel, man, your tunes have helped me stay afloat even with what came after. Mom's passing, moving cross-country, coming out to family, everything that has tried to take me down, your music has been there for me.

This song is very emotional for me. Every time I hear it, I picture the scene below:
The first buildup at 0:45 sounds like you’re reminiscing old, nice memories. Then at 1:18, you’re crying tears of happiness at the good old times. Next at 1:47, you enter a phase of depression in your life because reality suddenly hits you and then your next 60 years of life goes by before you can even blink twice. Next, at 2:22 your depression hits its peak and you are barely holding on to your life. At 2:52 you even consider doing the unthinkable. Then, at 3:23, it all comes crashing down. You realize your life is almost over and you start reminiscing again over those same, old memories that aren’t quite as easy to remember now. Then, at 3:30, something jogs your memory and you start to remember those old memories and you realize you still have some time left to live your life and do the things you want to do, but it’s running out soon. At 3:44 you now completely remember that moment. That memory. Oh, it was so perfect.
