And yes, humility and “staying humble can gain a fighter more respect than wins with the fans”.
BUT….running your mouth, talking trash, arrogance, etc is, unfortunately, more likely to get more fans for the fighter and garner more interest/follows. Just the way it is today..

I really love the sportsmanship. When I was in school in the 70s and 80s these fights would take place with a lot of animosity and hatred. it's great to be seeing it now with mutual respect between fighters.
These two are fighting for sport, not for beef. We had some of these back in the 90s where two people just wanted to see who was better, but we also had plenty where there was beef that needed to be settled, but we would do it organized, rather than just jumping people. Well, jumping happened too, but that was less cool IMO.

Not he clearly won the fight. Landed more took him down more controlled more. I do believe the loser lost his feet several times and it made it easier for the takedowns. 5 rounds would have been better

That was a good fight...no hatred, no animosity, just a fight, two guys getting down to business. Respect...that's class.
Watching these two, makes me realize just how fit and well trained the professional MMA fighters are
The main difference is conditioning. They both started out strong, not top level MMA but decent, but you could see they were both tired half way through the first round. Fighting takes a lot out of you, that is why the top fighters are often the ones with the best cardio.
Yep. You have to train and run 5-10 miles a day everyday for a 5 minute fight. 5 minutes. That’s 1 round in professional mma. You can have all the skill in the world but when you gas out and get hit, it’s the worst feeling in the world. Trust me I’ve been there. Your hands come down, you have nothing on your punches or kicks, and gasp trying to hold a submission. If you can outlast your opponent with endurance you have a better chance at winning.

I sense no animosity from Preacher's Son. His choke was so controlled, he basically gave JGottem a quick micro-sleep, and let up the second he dozed off. Methodical and clean, exceptional fighter. Props to Jgottem too for putting up a good fight.

I actually like the other angle, from in the ring, better. I knew I had watched this before but watched it again because there is so much kick ass to see from both fighters.

Jgottem needs to learn to take his head off the center line. Definitely not one for head movement that's for sure.

This was a fun fight to watch. I'd love to see the last 10 seconds from a different vantage point so I could actually see what happened..
Head and arm choke or triangle. Preacher son had goteem's left arm pinned to his head and his right arm completing the choke on the other side
Great fight, but had to laugh at the end when he raised his arm, with an awkward pause because he forgot his name.

7:55 , this is a really interesting moment, when the shorts guy hits his opponent's leg. All fight the legging guy had insanely fluid leg movement if anything that won him the fight for me. But it is interesting because the guy in shorts actually delivered a powerful leg kick and only then did the legging guy stopped sliding off the grass and stand on it. He knew his legs were damaged so he went all-in with grappling and choked him out, just because this guy is clearly a superior grappler than my man, shorts guy. Who I wanted to win. With respect to both, next-level street fighters.
