      @@gotseoul123 They actually didnt that much because they also didnt use hand wraps.
      Pre queensberry, boxers had very long careers with lots of fights because you cant hit like this without the wraps, you punch more carefully and accurately ensuring the right knuckles make contact rather than just your fist because your hands without wraps, are a mess of small bones.
      Full props to bare knuckle championship fighters but its not literal bare knuckle of the early 1800s.

      They probably respect fighting more over there tbh seeing as bare knuckle boxing looks to be accepted. They probably have a culture around it and take hiring and disciplining refs seriously. Also it probably helps to have a ref that’s big enough to kick both of the fighters asses

      I agree generally, but I think in the 4th fight, "asteroid vs samurai" the ref should have stopped it properly about a minute earlier. The guy was taking a lot of punishment and looked all done and without any foreseeable way back. Should have been stopped at about 5:58

    10:53 what an amazing fighter red shoes is. He switches to slaps in just the right time to use the surprised of the extended reach, then continunous slaps to the sides to land a solid slap to the ear, only to finish with a muay thai like fist stance that focuses on straight forward attacks. He definitely put a pace that the opponent couldn't adapt to in time, before having to deal with a new fighting style. These guys got real heart and it shows

      i'm not into fighting, first time i see a style like this. I got captured by the minimum movement on the arm, but really precise aim to the top of the head. was like a surgeon boxer, i don't find the word to express it.

    To See that the fighters even in this street Style do have sportsmanship and shaking their Hands Afterwards Shows how much they learned to Control themselves and to See their opponents Not as Just a punching bag but a Guy, whos willing to give everything even tho their Bones are getting crushed within every Fight to win..     I used to live in Russia and I trained a very tiny bit in boxing and Judo. I remember sometime at around 2005 I went to watch the first "Pankration" match. It was pretty sick, and it is then I decided to not do any martial arts, at least not competitively.
    The matches only lasted like 2 minutes max, everyone was in bare hands, and almost every fighter was either unconsciously escorted via wheeled stretcher or was all in blood. It was brutal af

      @KTV 4U i dont remember exactly but I would imagine somewhere in the range of $100-$1000, depending on the fighter and who he's fighting and event, etc
      but yeah, very little overall

      @KTV 4U This was in Russia. Average salaries were like 10 times less, today the disparity is even bigger. Back then in 2005 the average salary may have been about $1000 per month, whereas today its probably about $350 per month

      Moreover, over the past 10-15 years, salaries in Russia have generally stayed the same, but prices of goods have been steadily increasing.
      Russia is always getting worse. This is the main reason I left the country. Up until 2007-2008, many people believed the country still might get better, but sometime during this period people became skeptical after years of economic stagnation and then the global crisis. Today, the average income of Russians is miserably low, akin to 3rd world countries in Africa. Even Ukraine had higher GDP per capita until the special operation

    7:10 I was glad to finally see a fighter that recognized the importance of body shots. Only takes a few to really knock the energy and power of your punches out of you. Most looked like a bunch of guys just swinging for the fences with no good combos, leading with jabs, or strategy (like the guy who was much taller than the one in maroon pants and didn't use his height and reach advantage to keep the guy from moving in on him)

      Bas Rutten in pancrase. Liver shots were his specialty. And in pancrase you weren't allowed to strike the head with a closed fist. Bas Rutten would knock people out with body shots or open-handed palm strikes. Pretty insane (28 wins, 4 losses on his professional MMA record and inducted in the UFC hall of fame).

      body shots are great in boxing but barenuckle (even though i know theyre important) its probably pretty dangerous to throw a lot, getting clipped on the jaw for spending too much time downstairs is a lot more dangerous here. Either way we agree, just a helluva sport

      @@gucketjug a cop told me and my friends when I was a kid, go for the body shots, less protection. Yes, if you get that ONE good punch you are golden, but that from my limited knowledge seems to be the only advantage.

    Crisp and clean striking. No rolling around the mat for 10 minutes, clinging on the fence, or stupid hugging contests. I love that ref, and the rule set. The moment it looks like it culd de-volve into a grapple, he separates them. And the ring is so smal you cant run away from the other guy and play the cardio game. You need to fight it out. Was hoping to see more headbutts and elbows tho.
    Beutiful to watch. Even more to be a part of. :)

    Some very interesting fighting styles. Mad respect to them all. Winner of the last fight had great form considering the height difference. Great form amplifies the force considerably. Tell his punches hit like a truck.
