I like that these are adgustable to meet most boat trailers. A lot of the steps I have seen before had to be ordered to fit your exact trailer. I will be checking them out.. Thanks Jim.
Great video Jim! I have to check this out for next year. I'm getting older and it's know easier every year climbing into my boat. Lol keep up the great tips and advice buddy! 👍👊
thats awesome ! I definately need one of those for our Bayliner boat. My wife and I both have bad joints and she just had a hip replacement. Shes 56 and I'm 60 lol...getting old sux
They are not cheap. But you get what you pay for. And for old guys like me, they are indispensable. Considering the cost of the boat, the cost of the stairs is chicken feed. I bought the galvanized 3.0 with the extra bottom step. I'm a saltwater guy. Thanks, for the installation video.
If you're not Goro from mortal kombat with 4 arms here's a tip. Use a C clamp to hold the bottom step and upper bar in place, slide your U bolt up and use a vice grip to hold the U bolt in place while you screw on the fasteners.
Sir what was your vertical measurements from the bow to the top of your trailer where the base attached? Mine is 32” a v-16. Trying to determine exactly if I need 2.0 or 3.0. Thanks
Been researching steps for a while, looks like a nice product. Have you had and issues with the steps hitting you tailgate or bumper when your trailer is close to jack knife ? Thanks
How good do you think your balance has to be for these? Fish with my father a lot. He’s 71 and starting to have a hard time getting in and out of my Skeeter. These might be a good solution
@@TackleJunky81 I'm 69 and starting to question my balance. I'm counting on the steps and grab bar to give me confidence getting in and out of the boat.
when your'e standing on thr front of your trailer when you are hooking the boat back up in the water, do the stairs interfere with the crank handle and can you reach it ?
They didn't interfere, but I'd have to stand to the side to crank the boat on. I switched to boatefx steps to have my steps off to the side and out of the way. I'll link a video down below. ua-cam.com/video/OjhhamF95zQ/v-deo.htmlsi=-EdkxExzR_X8xJG6 ua-cam.com/video/OjhhamF95zQ/v-deo.htmlsi=-EdkxExzR_X8xJG6
Yes, they make them to fit the boat/trailer. The handle does clear the garage door. I installed a different set on that boat the other day and I'll link that video below. I also have a discount code for those steps. TJ81 will save you 10% ua-cam.com/video/OjhhamF95zQ/v-deo.htmlsi=RJiY1rQmDIlvz-9x
@@Freedomfishingtuglife No problem! That discount code works on boatefx steps not the ones in this video. They are the ones in the other video I linked. Check them out at boatefx.com
I didn't see your steps the other day. The bolts you used to anchor to the tongue, you should flip them to give it a cleaned look. Put the bolts facing down.
How do you like those steps? Just talked to them the other day and they said I could use the easy step 2 & 1 like you have or they have a 3 step(ESS3). Kind of leaning toward the one you got since seeing it on your boat. Stay Safe & God Bless!!
@@TackleJunky81 Thanks for the help Jim!!! I'll probably go with the same set up you got. I liked what I've seen on your channel and photos they sent me. Now to sell a couple things I don't need from the new boat that I upgraded to get those steps!!😎
Every time I look for a "how to" for my Tracker, TackleJunky81 pops up! Brilliant minds think alike!! Question: Does the Easy Step interfere with swing away tongue range of motion?

Thanks for the upload - Nicely done! - Is the hardware stainless steel?
On the powder coated steps like I have they are zinc plated, but stainless hardware on the galvanized models.
@@TackleJunky81 Thank you!
jim i have the bow step what i needed is grab handle to remove to put boat in garage still easy to get in boat
Gotcha, I do have to make sure my trailer is cranked down pretty low to clear my garage door, but I could always mount the handle on the lower step.
Nice. I want one now.

I need that. One question, Are you still able to fold the tongue in all the way on the trailer?
Yes sir, no issues.

Of course for an older person steps can be dangerous, but I'd think you'd be safer with them than without.
@@TackleJunky81 I'm 69 and starting to question my balance. I'm counting on the steps and grab bar to give me confidence getting in and out of the boat.
When unloading in water can u use the steps instead of climbing over the tailgate? Like back in get out if truck and walk up steps?
Yes, that's what I do.
Stupid question but is it possible to put the handle on one of the lower steps?
Yes, the handrail can be mounted on either side and to either step!
Slick!

What is the measurements from top of your trailer tong to top of your bow? Looking to get your setup. Mines 32. Inches
I like these better than trick step.

I have a rt 188 ranger getting older and it’s getting hard to hoist my ass over the side to get in.
Has this impacted you turning radius at all?
Not that I've noticed so far.

You can't run them down because the little support piece is in the way...same with the post that the winch is on.
