Niiice with the picture-in-picture! Looks like a nice little getaway - impressive that you were able to stay cool overnight despite the temps. Glad the campsite worked out. Great filming on that hike!
Nice video of Michaux which is 6 miles from my home. If you look on your map where campsites 15 and 16 are, you'll see Raccoon Run Trail which used to be the AT before they re-routed it decades ago. Those 2 campsites actually had primitive shelters there, but they were torn down. Because those campsites (15 and 16) are not far off Rt. 233, they are frequently used by non-hikers and partiers. I have not been to campsite 3 so it was nice to see that in your video. Caledonia is a beautiful park, but it gets VERY crowded especially with people from Maryland who come up to use the park. I frequently hike the loop including Hosack Run Trail which is just lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for checking out the video and commenting! I didn’t know about the AT re-route, that’s interesting. It’s a shame kids trash up nice campsites. I really enjoyed the Michaux Forest, that’s nice you live so close! I’ll probably be back sometime to do some more exploring!
Very nice woodsy site! I remember that early heat wave.... We bought the skeeter beaters and never did use them! ;-) LOL We also had whip-poor-wills do that (most of the night) when we were camping. Loved it! Some beautiful hiking! Nice hiking/camping adventure!! 💙Terry and Terri
Nice homemade skeeter beaters on Bart there! Caladonia is a nice park but it is very popular, you made a good choice! Heading out on my first ever backpacking trip on the west rim trail tommorow, your Allegheny Front Trail vid was a big inspiration.
That picture in picture is nice. Fold about an inch or 2 of duct tape around the magnets so their easier to take off & Find once dropped. Yeah many people that have done the AT say it's a Life Changing experience.
That's just another good thing about communities like this @@fivehorizons5295. We're good at bouncing ideas around & just do our best to help others out. As for learning the duct tape the hard way a nice gust of wind blew both of my screens off & only found 4 of 20 magnets.
loved watching you and Jen on her video and glad to see another east coast camper adventurer!
Thanks Nina! Yeah, the east has some beautiful areas! Jen is super cool and I hope we get together again. Thanks again for checking out the video!
Loved your map above the desk in the van for planning! Nice hike with the camera shots was like being there. Good video!
Thanks Jeremy! Yeah I really like having that bulletin board there. Some pretty trails in the Michaux forest. Thanks again for watching!

Thanks Jen, yeah the fans are pretty much essential in the van on a warm night.

Thanks Terry and Terri! You never use the skeeter beaters…? I would think they would come in handy. You guys rock! Thanks again for watching!
@@fivehorizons5295 We bought them for the van but then didn't use the van for overlanding.... ;-) Thanks so much!

Dude, good luck up there in PA’s Grand Canyon! I so glad my video inspired you! Backpacking is addicting… in a good way!

Thanks TP Seeker! Duct tape….why didn’t I think of that? Brilliant!

I have a hard time filming around people as well. But this was a great video man 👍
Thanks! Yeah I’m getting more comfortable filming myself but not there yet around other people.
