Thank you for this video - this was exactly my issue. I'd previously replaced the pump and hose (needlessly). I hired a "pro" who said it was not able to be replaced, and put silicone caulk in the old pan (failed). This worked. Got the part on Ebay at a good price. There's a place in heaven for people who make helpful youtube videos.

He probably didn't use enough caulking. I used caulk and no leaks so far 👍

Thank you for the demo. I really like my frig EXCEPT FOR THIS HORRIBLE DESIGN ON THE DRIP PAN. What a hassle to keep it clean.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered from The Pros, the parts and videos are spot on!
I received the drip pan the next day after ordering, as good as Amazon!! Took me about 1/2 hour and saved me $$$$!!
    Thank you!!

Extremely helpful video. I did mine tonight. My setup was about 99% to this video. I literally couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank You!

Thank you. Your video helped us greatly with pulling out and cleaning our tray. After only a year, a terrible stench had started. Never cleaned one before.

very helpful, had a nasty rotting chicken smell coming from mine.
broke the clippy on the ptrap, and snapped one of the bars on the baffle trying to get it clear, super tight. But it functioned well after going back together. drippy thing drips... check ... spinny thing spins... check...

Great presentation, thank you. The gummy duck-billed valve at the top of the drain system was indeed the culprit. I agree-more time on the fan shroud would have been helpful. I replaced the drain tube and the drip pan--removing and reinstalling the fan was a bear. 10+ year old French door Kitchenaid. Replaced the motherboard last year during the Covid lock-down--lucky to locate the part.

Thanks for a very helpful video. I just replaced a cracked evaporation pan and the drain tube on my 10 year old KitchenAid refrigerator that had been leaking on my floor. The fan was tricky to remove and replace and your video was just what I needed to get it done!

It was tricky, for sure, but this boomer housewife changed out the part in about 45 minutes.
My tray was not identical, but the key parts were there.
His directions were very accurate. I also watched it about 5 times before I got started.
I'm so proud of myself, I can't stand it.

It will take a while, we need to play with it is an understatement for sure.

I was referred to this video by the folks at amana and our drip pan looks nothing like this and is impossible to get out.

Did you cut down the right hand side of the drip pan? It looks like it's been cut or filed and the edges are rough as heck....

I agree with Angela Hockley's post below. It would have been helpful to see what the technician had to go through to get the fan in and out. It's going to take me a lot more time than it took him, so seeing the process he went through would have helped. You can tell from the gouges on the right side of the pan that this was a struggle even for an experienced pro. AppliancePartsPros probably cut that out because it would have made the video longer...but I'll bet it would help others who are about to take on this task. Still, thanks for the excellent instructional video.

So sorry! I know you mentioned what screwdriver you need to open the access panel but I didn’t quite get it. Could you let me know? Thank you!

You know he broke the new drain pan the slider on the backside. He cuts out the video so you cant see him breaking it. This removal is the hardest to do on these models. I have broken so many of these putting new ones in and taking them out to clean, it cant be helped. No one has ever made the same video without cutting or not showing the full removal of this drip pan.
