Thanks for the video, I just replaced my starter myself on my S10 ZR2 and knew it was bad by how it was doing, then had it confirmed at Advance when I let them check it. So I got that on and now I've got a code for a bad crankshaft position sensor. I figure if I was able to change out my starter by myself I surely can do this as well. Hopefully after this the truck will be good and solid, I bought it off my uncle and he'd already had all the brake lines replaced, new plugs, plug wires etc and the truck was a one owner as he got it brand new. Still has under 100,000 miles on it.
I have bad eyesight and my phone pixels makes video picture not good. Is this located next to the oil pressure switch? I am trying to follow you on a 97 S10 2.2 but my eyesight is as good as stevie wonders.
I just replaced the engine in my 2.2 96 s10. I was told the motor I got out of the other truck was a 95 but they’re not the same. The wiring harness and a few other things was different. I got everything changed and got it wired but I got something off. I’m getting crank and no spark/not firing. ? What did I do wrong?
Did you change the computer also. 96 is a OBD2 engine and 95 is not. 94-95 are the same and 96-97 are the same. You probably have to switch more electronics too.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS EVERYONE POSTS IT FOR THE V6. Community needs to show more love for the 2.2 boys out here
Oh absolutely
Thank you for the good video, you made it look like it should be fairly easy to do. And thank you for showing exactly where the sensor is.
You are welcome

That’s awesome, and low miles for one of these. Hopefully this will fix your issue.

I have an S10 with problems when accelerating, it has new coils and cables... what symptoms does it present to know that the sensor is defective?
This sensor will have similar symptoms as to what you described, but have you checked your fuel side yet?
Thank u brother
You are welcome.
This the same for an 03?
Also you mentioned, yours didnt crank.
Mine cranks but doesnt start, it shut off of my while driving in 3rd gear.
@@skellingtonmusic170 no this is not the same for your 03. The Chevy 2.2 went through some changes after 97.
@ChrisThedudenurse alright thank you. Hopefully it's as simple as yours
My 99 2.2l is doing the same thing. You ever figure it out?
