    Still think for anything to be born is an act of GOD and nature PROFF. The projects continue, and so does the research and education . Great looking spider and in good condition.     Our experiences with them say they have an amazing ability to taste/smell/feel what's going on with the egg sac. And then we see a wolf spider running around carrying a pebble, snail shell, small marshmallow, and all we can do is sigh...

    I thought I saw 1 egg that looked like it had the beginnings of legs. But, I couldn't tell for sure. Did you see any partial development in any egg at all?
    I also would love to see more of the videos that follow the eggs from pulling the sack, into the nursery pot, and then into slings. One of your year old clips of this showed up in my stream from your channel, more of them please!

    Actually, I've noticed that before when you used to routinely do a rehouse after an egg sac pull the success rates seemed higher. It may be that without a periodic thorough cleaning of the enclosures it increases the likelihood of the egg sacs getting contaminated because of higher microbial loads in the area surrounding them.
    Edit: It might not be a bad idea to label and date when they've had their enclosure cleaned so you can keep track of that kind of information to see if it makes a difference.

    After my pairing on the 9th Feb im still waiting, hopeful for a sac. Shes still eating and past where i thought she would have molted, so maybe she will drop. I did appreciate the advice you gave me at the time with her.
    Hopefully your girl will get an opportunity again soon.

    Sad we didn't get babies.😔 I was relieved it was because they were duds and not actual babies that had died. Weird, but better than died babies. I eagerly await the next sac to hopefully see a bunch of wiggley babies. 👶🏼🕷❤️

    Was I just seeing things or when you showed that last shot it looked like one had eyes and a set of legs like as if only one made it but it was bad so it looked dead it didn't look attached to an egg? It was grey and white type colour and it was attached to the sac web away from the others but it looks like legs it was the one on its own in the corner 8:34, 8:35 on the video

    Hello Dave and Camera Lady. Happy post April Fools Day and my 60th birthday.😳🫣🥳 Last time it was blue feet and this time pink toes! Such cute feets! I wonder if there is a way to better condition your males to help them be more fertile. Perhaps their wandering behaviour adds to their fertility. Maybe take them on walk before introducing them to the female. Just a thought. Mum is very pretty regardless. How are the blue footed babies? Did they make it? Thanks again for your content.     I always feel a little sad when the egg sac is devoid of life, she is a stunning spider and I really want one especially if they are good as a beginner species! She was very interested in you and what you were up to, she was a little busy watching you I do hope she eventually ate the roach!
    I would really like a guide to feeding, is roach better than cricket? How big should their meal be? I did look this up but it didn’t really have the information, and I thought ask Dave, I know you are a busy man working and running a UA-cam channel so if you could point me in the direction from a good source I would appreciate it very much! Have you had anymore thoughts about patreon? ❤

      You want to feed your spider smaller meals . When they get out moving around will help you see them more. If you try feed them while they’re out an do about they will do it more often

    Hey man, I need help with my Avicularia avicularia! He is currently on day 140 of refusing food. He just built himself a funnel web, his abdomen is healthy size, he's not dehydrated, he has proper cross ventilation, and enclosure temps are correct. He just won't eat. I can't find any info online regarding my current situation. Should I be worried?

      If he is mature they often stop feeding , if his abdomen is a good size and he is hydrated I would not worry, once mature they are on. borrowed time to find a mate and pair 👍

    Do you think an inexperienced mother might not be sure if her eggs are fertile? Maybe there is a scent that gives them the signal to either save it or dispose of it. So interesting.

    Seeing how you know your spiders, what are your thoughts on the giant spiders in the the rainforests?. Could it be a possibility they exist or have existed ?

      There is both the Theraphosa species and the Lasiodora ones. True giants.

      @@daveslittlebeasties it's one of them myths that giant sized spiders have lived or do live in the depths of the jungles. Tribesman have supposedly seen them and other sightings. People say they can't exist or get to giant sizes due to the exo skeleton and the respiratory system. Sorry I just fought I would ask, I admire spiders and find this story interesting along with giant snakes.

      @@johanneabelsen1644 yeah, there big but I'm talking BIG like 2m leg span, capable of eating people size. It's called jba fofi by the tribespeople and we know animals used to be bigger once apon a time. Large snakes, sharks, reptiles and insects and so on so arachnids must have been pretty gigantic too. These jungle depths have never been explored by man so there is no telling how many undocumented species are out there just like the ocean.

Arachnids are scary and people hate and kill them so it's nice to see people treat and look after them with the respect they deserve, They serve there purpose so when people kill them just for how they look it's not nice.
