    *Thanks for the advice! I had a drivers side taillight out on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. Replaced the bulb but still didn't work. Checked the fuse box and sure enough, one of the 15amp blue fuses was blown. Put a new one in and boom! It's back working again! Thanks again*

      @@TwoStepTeggy I had to bring it to shop. There was an issue with a wire that ran through the wires for the trailer hitch, so they just bypassed that. Basically, I think it comes down to an exposed wire somewhere along the way.

    My issue is with the brake/turn-signal llight on the pass-side of a 97 Silverado.
    It's not working and the bulb is fine, fuse is fine.
    I took the whole assembly off the right side and put it on the left side and it works on the left.

      I just read your comment Sam. It sounds like you have a bad ground.
      You're going to have to get underneath and physically look at wires from the back to to the front, to make sure nothing is pinched or broken or disconnected.
      Depending on your car there can be numerous connections and adapters.Just disconnect and reconnect them one at a time.

      This problem isn't the same thing, but my toyota highlander (2003) had the bulb replaced and it didn't work and the fuse doesn't seem to have issues.
      Check the socket if it has one, it might be that, or it could be the wiring.

      did you figure out the problem? i have a 99 4runner where the led is dim but halogen wont turn on.

    • @samsen201
      @samsen201 6 місяців тому

      @@isackhernandez3691 Assuming you fuse and bulbs fine, 1st make sure the problem is not with the LED (Especially the cheap internet-purchased ones). They can be very picky or have polarity issues or physical socket issues and or, no contact. If halogen alone is at fault, make sure the bolster is functioning (If possible check/change with the other side). Avoid home-installed halogen replacement for factory tungsten at any cost. Factory knew better and aftermarket is to empty your wallet only with no respect to anything else.
      Last and most likely, it is a ground contact issue. Find the forum for your car-specific model and you may get access to a map. The easiest remedy is to find your negatives and drill in a new contact point, wiring it to the nearest chase's point yourself.
      The main problem with old cars having some degree of sophistication and age is even when you successfully solve one problem, there will be more surprises down the road, sooner than later! Electrical issues can be very frustrating and finding the cause and remedy at times next to impossible.

    Okay, so my Chevy Trailblazer has three rear bulbs on each of the two rear lights. The bottom bulb on each side is clear lens for reverse/back-up. The top two on each side are both red. They are both supposed to come on soft for tail lights and bright for braking. All work fine on the right side but all but the tail lights come on on the left side. If the bulb was bad the brake lights wouldn't work because it's the same bulb right? And even if it is a different filament that lights for tail lights vs. brake lights (even though both use the same two bulbs) most likely BOTH bulbs probably didn't happen to go out on the left side at the same time -- so is it the left tail light fuse? Or is there one fuse that controls both tail lights and since the right is working it can't be the fuse?

      Did you replace the sockets and maybe even the pigtail!! Usually it’s the socket at the turn signal! It will take out the tail lights and side markers, as is why it’s very hard to figure it out since signal still works!! The socket controls the break lights they are wired together somehow
