Ooohhhh yes, the amount of product we curly's go through! I always chuckle to myself when I read on a product label, "apply a dime sized amount on palm of hand." The reality is more like, "apply a baseball sized amount for starters then just keep going from there." Glad I stumbled across your channel, lots of fantastic curly hair hair tips! Cheers 🙂

Ugh thank you for talking about how different products work at different lengths. My profile pic is old and I may have buzzed my head bald in it- but then I’ve been growing my hair for 3 years, with the goal to get my curls to my mid back. Almost there finally, but yeah it has been so frustrating whenever I thought I found the perfect products, they wouldn’t work as a few months later once my hair got longer. Its so frustrating to keep having to hunt for the perfect styling combo and or ratio of product amounts for the desired definition/volume. Can’t wait till the the hair on the top of my head reaches to the bottom my chest so I can blunt cut it across my chest to get rid of all the layers
My hair is currently medium length just like your hair is now and it already takes me A LOT to detangle and deep condition BUT I still want my hair to be as long as your hair used to be.
The best benefit for me, like you mentioned, is product selection doesn’t matter as much and I could rock frizzy or bad wash day better with long hair. Love the shorter defined ringlets on you!
i love long curly hair so much but i believe that every one has a lenght that is suiting him..and YES girl short hair looks fabulous on you ..you just give the idea to cut it again !

Detangling is a nightmare..mind you I need a trim lol cause I get fairy knots
All and all I preffer mid-short curly hair because the curls look at their best and not weight down

I am barely wavy/curly and I have classic length (over the bum length) hair. It does get tangly sometimes, but ever since I layered it (compact cut, ponytail on the forehead), it's been swell. Don't attempt that cut if you're not ready, because it will give you a sharp V shape, and layers from waist/hip to over the bum. I love it though, and that's the most important thing! :D

You made some good points! I prefer shorter hair because tangles with longer hair would be a nightmare!! I’d love to see a video on your favorite long hair products that don’t work on your shorter hair.

I think this depends on the definition of "long" and short" my hair is just about the same length as yours is now and this is the longest it's been in years, I'm honestly waiting it out to chop it off again. I found shorter hair harder to look okay on the days before my wash day. But too short and not having the option to just put it in a bun kinda sucks. The biggest con I'm having with the longer it gets is how much more quickly it tangles/ and knots up. Not to mention drying time is also up!
However, I can do a lot more with my hair in terms of styling to take advantage of the length ( I've been keeping it in a pineapple a lot more now)

Omg she used to be all about hair growth 😳and hair vitamins my hair is half my back and heavy if I have a lot of conditioner my head and beach hurts my hair is very thick if I want to do a deep conditioner I have to be early and take my time .... ladies love your hair regardless fouces on the health and moisture more than length you are beautiful regardless length or no length 😍😘

I used go have long curly hair but now it's lob.
One pro of long hair was that I could hide a bad hair day with a braid easily. But now if I have a bad hair day I have to wash it all over again.
I definitely want to know which faves aren't working for you. And i definitely get what you are saying when your hair is longer it makes everything look like a style but when its shorter it looks like a bad hair day lol. Im waist length so i can kinda relate

So I have a question. I have this problem with my curly hair where the front sections of my hair is so dry and frizzy. I apply types of conditioner and creams and oils but it never fully soaks it in it's just super frustrating. So my question is do I need to cut it as if it was a layered bang to get it to come back to life? @Leximarcellaa
Hmm normally that can be a few issues. The simplest one is that maybe your curl pattern is just different at the crown of your hair. But other issues could be your showers are too hot, friction (because the outer layers of our hair are most exposed), your over washing that area of your hair, heat/ sun/ UV damage. I mean it could be a few reasons. Id try to re-evaluate your wash and goes. But possibly your hair texture just might be different there? Hope this helps some.
@@Leximarcellaa wow that's one thing I never thought it could be is the hot showers. It now makes sense. I do have a bad habit of letting the got water hit my head alot. But its something I can work on. I thought I was gonna have to cut my hair. Thank you so much your videos help me so much and inspire me to care for my curls and actually love them.
