That technique of cutting your under cut area inside of your outlines is nice. I bet it makes it a ton easier to clean up , and preserves the original size of the drawing.

Yes, I try to give a little room when inlaying to protect the outline of the design.

whats a good metal to start with for inlaying? I was thinking of trying copper or brass for inlays but im not sure
Use soft copper wire on carbon steel for practice inlay.
Was the initial design done on transparent paper? How do you usually transfer. The work looks great
I used clear film and inkjet printer for this project.
